من یک دختر روستایی با رویاهای ساده بودم، اما کابل رویاهای جدید و هدف جدیدی برایم تعیین کرد. شهری که اکنون به دست گروه طالبان مچاله شده است. دلم به شهر رویایی‌ام می‌سوزد و این شهر دیگر آن شهر سه سال پیش نیست. جاده‌هایش شادی مردمان را کم دارد. مکتب‌ها و دانشگاه‌ها عدم حضور دختران را فریاد می‌زنند. شادی از این شهر رخت بسته و هراس و ظلم بر آن حاکمیت می‌کند. نه تنها من، کابلم نیز افسرده و پژمرده شده و نفس‌هایش زیر بار حاکمیت طالبان به شمارش افتاده است.
