«گریه‌ها و فریادهای دخترم را نمی‌توانم فراموش کنم. التماس می‌کرد اجازه ندهم او را با خودشان ببرند. بسیار سعی کردم قانع‌شان بسازم و مانع بردن دخترم شوم، اما در مقابل آن‌ها هیچ کاری از دستم ساخته نبود. پس از آن روز هیچ خبری از دخترم ندارم و به هر جا رفتم، دست خالی بازگشتم. کی گفته بدترین داغ برای یک مادر داغ مرگ فرزندش است؟ این‌که ندانی زنده است یا نه، دردش بیش‌تر است. من حتا مزاری را سراغ ندارم که بروم و بر سرش اشک بریزم. نه احوال زنده بودنش را دارم و نه آدرسی که به آن سر بزنم. مدت‌هاست در فراق فرزندم اشک می‌ریزم و جز اشک ریختن و دعا کردن هیچ پناهی ندارم.»
