In this Abounding Love episode, I cover eight (8) tools we need to cast out evil spirits. We need to know he's also a liar and the father of lies, who seeks to steal, kill and destroy the testimony of Christians through his falsehoods [John 8:44; 10:10]. His goal is to hinder our effectiveness for Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:10, Paul outlines the gifts we are given to further the Kingdom of God. One listed is the "discerning of spirits," which is the ability to know what Satan and his demons are up to. This is the first tool presented for dealing with evil spirits. Remember, demons plot for your thoughts and feelings. After casting down imaginations, they must be replaced by truth [2 Corinthians 10:3-6].
