Prof. Richard Wolff - The Decline of the US Empire & Germany's Economy

In this episode of The Source, our Senior Editor Zain Raza interviews University of Massachusetts Professor of Economics Emeritus Richard Wolff about the German economy in the context of larger geopolitical developments taking place around the world, including the war in Ukraine and the rise of the BRICS countries. In addition, a retrospective assessment of the West's policy of using economic sanctions to weaken Russia is undertaken. Finally, the emergence of AI is discussed and whether it will benefit humanity economically in the future.

ABOUT RICHARD D. WOLFF: Richard D. Wolff is the founder of Democracy at Work and host the show Economic Update. He is Professor of Economics Emeritus, University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he taught economics from 1973 to 2008. Earlier he taught economics at Yale University and at the City College of the City University of New York. Wolff was also a regular lecturer at the Brecht Forum in New York City. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Graduate Program in International Affairs of the New School University in New York City.
