Up first today, the Wiz app, a social media platform used by approximately 16
million users, continues to raise serious concerns regarding child safety.
Reports indicate that the app, which is designed for social connection,
has been exploited by underage teens and adult predators alike,
turning it into a risky environment similar to dating apps like Tinder.

Despite the introduction of new safety measures such as age verification,
these have proven insufficient against adults posing as minors.
Parents are advised to check their children's devices for the app and ensure
it is removed, alongside setting parental controls to prevent future access.
In other news, the FDA has announced a nationwide recall of the So Delicious
dairy-free salted caramel cluster frozen dessert due to potential contamination with small stones.

This recall impacts multiple retail locations across the country,
including at least 17 stores in the San Antonio area, such as Walmart,
Whole Foods, and Target.
Consumers are urged not to consume the product and to seek refunds through the
company's consumer care channels.
The manufacturer has addressed the issue and is working to remove affected products from shelves.
Turning to travel and national security.

Proposed changes to the U.S.
Electronic system for travel authorization, or ESTA, have sparked widespread
public concern during the current comment period.
The notable proposals include mandatory disclosure of all social media accounts
used over the past five years, collection of biometric data,
and the requirement to apply exclusively via a mobile app.
Officials insist none of the changes have been finalized yet.

However, the travel industry warns that these additions could deter visitors.
And lead to longer processing times at airports.
A powerful coast-to-coast storm is currently moving out of the Pacific Northwest
and into the Northern Plains and Rockies, unleashing hurricane-force wind gusts

The storm has already caused more than half a million power outages in Washington and Oregon.
