This index offers insight into the current levels of concern among the American
contingency community about various potential threats and challenges.
It serves as a useful gauge for preparedness and situational awareness.
In other news, looking ahead to events, the Northeast Region Adventure Challenge

will take place from October 10th to the 12th in Hookstown, Pennsylvania.
This event invites participants to engage in a variety of preparedness and adventure
activities for a $35 entry fee.
Just a day later, the Amcon-Broward County Monthly Meetup is scheduled for October
11th at Markham Park in Sunrise, Florida.
This month's discussion will focus on situational awareness,

with all members welcome.
Also on the calendar, workshops on water bath canning are being held to teach
the essentials of preserving harvests.
Sessions are scheduled for October 18th and October 22nd in Berkeley Springs,
West Virginia, perfect for those interested in food preservation techniques.
Turning now to upcoming preparedness opportunities, the South Region Adventure

Challenge will be held November 7th through 9th at the Boy Scout Camp in Milburn, Oklahoma.
This event will simulate a mock evacuation from Hurricane Bob,
including skill-building activities from first aid to water treatment and shelter rigging.
Children 12 and under can attend for free.
