In the welterweight division Joshua Famez won by unanimous decision over Glendel "The Berserker" Futrell. Famez, who went up a weight class for the fight, countered and accurately outpunched the Lakeland fighter, Futrell. When asked about his win, Famez says, "When I'm at my best, nobody can touch me. To finish, Famez's coach said, "turn it up in the 5th," and, "said come out like a dog...jab 2 to the body, 3 to the top."
Famez, who has had a career in music as an R&B and Rap singer, says, "Everybody was screaming for me." He also says, "I am not just a fighter, I am somebody that you can talk to."
