She moved to Tampa Bay Area in Land O’ Lakes. She has been married for over 23 years. She has two children and loves being a Mom. One of her passions is cooking. She is very active in social media. Karla shared in this video her passion for cooking, how she was born inside of a restaurant and how her parents are big influences in her cooking adventures. She went to a culinary school, learned how to cook professionally, and can cook dishes from all over the world. Karla talked about her second passion as a full-time Real Estate Agent. It was a decision that motivated her after she got laid off from a corporation. She was unemployed for six months. During this time, she was sending applications and resumes, but she was not getting any answers. So, an important family idea came to the table, and she decided to give herself an opportunity based on her communicational skills. After her big decision, she became successful very fast as a realtor. Karla said, “That’s one of the things about me whenever I do something regardless of what it is. I always put my best.” Karla mentioned that her people skills had been a great blessing in her industry. Her clients became her friends at the end of the journey. Karla talked about the madness of selling houses. In Florida, the process of selling is normal, but what is not usual is what is happening before the summer. In Florida, Real Estate is great all year long because people from other states and countries want to move to Florida because of the great weather. What to do if you are selling your house: • Plan ahead. • Talk to a local realtor. • Do not wait until the last minute. • Are you going to rent? Or Are you going to buy it? Karla has another passion called “Powergals.” This initiative began three years ago. Many professional women started reaching out to her because she is very active in social media, and they want to learn her strategies and plans about how to grow their business. This approach leads her to the next step of her journey, and approximately ten women showed up at the first meeting called “Lunch with a Purpose.” The group kept growing, and they decided to create different chapter locations. Now, they have 15 locations throughout Florida. Also, Powergals is moving to other states and countries.
