Both teams came into the match unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership, and while Motherwell will feel they’d done enough to take something from the game, it was Celtic who found that extra touch of quality when it mattered most to seal a vital victory. There’s no denying that Brendan Rodgers’ side are still short of their best, but as they work to rediscover their top form, the most important thing is to keep winning and, domestically at least, that’s (mostly) what the Bhoys have been doing.
