some of the approvals and
decisions made during the City Commission
meeting held on Monday, May
12, 2025. The meeting started
with three proclamations. May 4-10 was
proclaimed National Small Business Week.

(01:00:20):
The proclamation was
presented to the Office of Small Minority
Women Business
Enterprise by the City Commission
President Christina Lambert. The next
proclamation named May 15, 2025 as Peace
Officers Memorial Day
and the week of May 11-17 as West Palm
Beach Police Week. The

proclamation was presented by
Commissioner Joe Peduzzi and finally May
18-24 was proclaimed National Public
Works Week presented by
Commissioner Kathleen Ward. The following
items were approved during the meeting.
Two resolutions for conditional
settlement agreements. The first for
$150,000 in the matter

of Heather Nicole Richards as the
personal representative of
the estate of Elizabeth A.
Anderson versus the City of West Palm
Beach. And the second resolution for the
conditional settlement
for $150,000 in the matter of Amanda L.
Ray as the personal
representative of the estate of
George J. Ninehouse Jr. versus the City

of West Palm Beach. Both
settlements stem from an accident
that occurred on or about July 30, 2021.
A resolution for the
installation of a Florida
historic marker for the Sunshine Park
Historic District at the city-owned
right-of-way located
at Georgia Avenue between Avon Road and

Belvedere Road. Approved in
ordinance after second public
hearing for the rezoning of 4200 North
Australian Avenue from the community
service to community
service plan development and a companion
resolution regarding the
development of regulations for the
county's community services plan
community service. Approved

in ordinance after the first
public hearing to change the zoning
designation of
approximately 1.42 acres located at 3705
South Flagler Drive from multifamily high
density residential to
residential plan development and
discussed a companion resolution
regarding the development
regulations and conditions for the

Flagler House residential plan
development and granting waivers of the
zoning and land development
regulations. Approved a pair of
resolutions. The first approving a
supplemental agreement number
two to the local agency program grant
agreement with FDOT to
accept additional grant funds in
the amount of $822,732 for the

construction of the Northmore
Elementary sidewalks project.
Also approved was a supplemental funding
for a revised total amount of $3,720,687
in funding for the construction of the
Northmore Elementary sidewalks project.
Approved in ordinance after the second

(01:03:13):
public hearing and reading
approving the conveyance of
a city-owned property located at 815 Palm
Beach Lakes Boulevard.
