1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

One of the things about this movie, that I thought set it apart from others of its kind, was the scene where the priest comes to visit Brady before his execution. To a demon possessing a man, the last thing he wants to encounter is a man of the cloth. The reason being, a true man or woman of God is a threat to the demon possessing or influencing someone because that man or woman of God has the discernment to see it, the power to resist it and ultimately cast it out.
