General Hospital reveals a dramatic turn of events surrounding the death and subsequent funeral of beloved character Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). The Quartermaine family is set to be rocked by a shocking revelation in the aftermath of the funeral, stirring up tensions, particularly for Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). As per the leaked information, Monica's unexpected death will be portrayed off-screen due to the real-life passing of actress Leslie Charleson earlier this year.

One Life to Live alum Erika Slezak is set to join General Hospital for a short stint, playing the role of Monica's previously unknown sister.
