Young and the Restless on CBS teases an unraveling alliance between characters Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), which might lead to a dramatic downfall for the trio. Phyllis and Billy, already on the outs with the Genoa City community, consider siding with Cane, formerly known as Aristotle Dumas, in a risky move that could burn their remaining bridges.
Y&R sees Phyllis, desperate for acceptance and driven by frustration, is contemplating betraying friends and family, including her ex Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), to prove her loyalty to Cane. However, this could lead to a severe blow to her already tarnished reputation, much like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) experienced after her staged death. Meanwhile, Billy, hurt by Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) manipulations, is willing to risk his new venture with Abbott Communications by teaming up with Cane, disregarding Jack Abbott's (Peter Bergman) advice to move on.
Young and Restless sees this alliance could further strain Billy's relationship with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), while Phyllis's association with Cane might cause friction with her children, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) starts a relationship with Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) leaving Cane jealous and possibly pushing Phyllis into a personal involvement with him.
