Welcome to another bonus episode as we're preparing for our morning routine challenge.
Today I'm sharing three of my favorite essential oils for boosting my energy
and focus as I go through my morning routine to help me stay grounded and purposeful.
Hey mama, welcome to Divine Design Wellness where we're putting down deep spiritual

(00:21):
roots and embracing our identity in Christ through holistic health.

(01:27):

This group is for moms just like you looking for a holistic approach to motherhood
and wellness and accountability and encouragement for the journey ahead.

(01:51):
that best start for your day.
You can find us on facebook.com forward slash groups forward slash divine design
wellness or simply by using the link in the show notes.
As we are gearing up for our morning routine challenge,
I personally have been challenging myself to a slightly different approach to

(02:13):
my typical morning routine and have found that I'm loving it and I'm enjoying
this new aspect to my routine.
Part of that routine has involved incorporating essential oils in a new way
in the beginning of my day for very specific purposes,
which I will share, but I'm also going to share some additional essential oil

(02:37):
benefits that you can get for your morning routine.
The first one I want to talk about is the benefit of using essential oils,
the aroma of essential oils, as anchoring.
So there's a lot of really cool research out there on using aromas to anchor intentions.

(03:01):
Not like when you're learning, all kinds of different environments where you
can use an aroma And then later on, using that aroma again triggers like this reaction.
Association in your brain back to that initial experience, whether that's in
like an environment of education or meditation or anything like that.

(03:27):
So I have been kind of experimenting with
using an essential oil blend that
is just one I enjoy and smelling
that aroma while I am saying my morning affirmations and then visualizing how

(03:47):
I'm going to later go about taking action on the things I'm affirming and visualizing.
So what happens is that as I'm using that oil to smell during my affirmation and visualization.
I can then later in the day use that oil again to reconnect to that affirmation,

(04:11):
that visualization, and it just helps strengthen it.
So this is actually something you could do for all kinds of different things,
whether that's like if you are someone who loves to memorize verses,
you can actually use essential oils while you're working on memorizing a verse

(04:31):
in the Bible to then later help trigger that memory.
So this is just something fun you can experiment with however you think it would
work for you in different settings, but just something to try and think about. It's fun.
The second way that I like to use essential oils in my morning routine is for

(04:53):
bringing balancing and just helping me be like my mind and body aligned so I
can just perform at my best.
And I personally really love the Balance blend from doTERRA, which is...
The blend is created exactly for this. It's a blend of spruce,

(05:14):
hoewood, frankincense, blue chamomile, and osmanthus.
And I love this blend because the aroma is so earthy, but also fresh and amazing
for its ability to just like calm and center my mind and body.
I enjoy using it first thing in the morning when I wake up and I smell it and

(05:36):
I apply on the bottoms of my feet, which can be helpful to like imitate grounding.
And so it's just a way that you can start your day off really well.
And you can also use it to help bring your mind into readiness for prayer or meditation.
And another blend that I think would make another great alternative for using

(05:59):
balance is doTERRA's new Shinrin Yoku blend that also smells absolutely amazing.
It's one of my new favorites and it has a lot of very similar benefits.
So you can use specific oil blends for that.
And then the third reason I love using essential oils is for focus and invigoration.

(06:22):
So some of the oils that I choose for these benefits are citrus oils or blends
of citrus oils because of the limonene content in them.
It helps to just really boost your mood.
It's uplifting. And I just feel like there's nothing like the smell of citrus

(06:45):
to just like really wake you up.
And also I love using mints.
And that's because of the menthol content in mints. They're just so invigorating and opening.
And I think they're a great way to If you have a hard time waking up your brain
in the morning, to use citrus and mints together.
And then I also love the Arise blend, which is a part of doTERRA's yoga collection.

(07:12):
This is a blend that is kind of like, it's citrusy, but it also has this underlying
tone of more grounding aromas.
It's got grapefruit, lemon, osmanthus, melissa, and Siberian fir.
I just feel like it really brightens my outlook on the day, helps me feel energized,

(07:34):
and ready to take on the day.
So my top three favorites really have to be balance, energy.
The new super mint blend because it has like that really nice minty fresh smell without it being too.
Overpowering and then I really love the

(07:55):
arise blend so those are my top three favorite blends for using in the morning
of course you may find that different blends are going to be more of your taste
that you enjoy more so it's always fun to get to try different ones and smell
different ones and just kind of see what's going to work the best for you.
If you are not someone who is familiar with using essential oils safely,

(08:19):
and maybe you're not familiar with the best choices for essential oils as far
as purity and quality and making sure they're sourced properly,
I encourage you to go check out my episodes four and five that are exactly all about that.

(08:39):
So you And then I've actually created a morning routine kit just for you if
you are looking to start incorporating the best essential oils into your morning routine.
And this is a kit that I think is so fun.
It has two wall plug-in diffusers.
So literally all you have to do is screw your oil bottle into the plug-in and

(09:03):
pop it in your outlet wherever you want to have that specific aroma.
And it's a motion sensor. so you can
adjust how sensitive it is so it's not going off all
the time and it's just
so fun and it comes with four different
oils that are actually very specific to
what I was just talking about and then I also added

(09:26):
in a Shinrin-Yoku roller which
I really think you will enjoy for its
grounding and calming properties so you can
find the link for that in the show notes so that's it it
for today but be sure to join us
tomorrow for one more bonus episode on creating the environment for habit success

(09:47):
and then come join our morning routine challenge starting september 1st if you
haven't joined our private facebook group yet you can go find us on facebook groups at divine design.
