Vi har brug for natur, der ligger lige om hjørnet fra, hvor vi bor. 41 procent af vores naturbesøg foregår nemlig i natur og andre grønne områder inden for byzonen eller inden for 200 m af en byzone. Det viser en analyse fra Naturstyrelsen.
Naturen i byen er ikke vild natur, men den spiller en vigtig rolle i den naturdannelse, der gør os til hele mennesker.
Bynaturen er et økosystem i sig selv, og naturnationalparker som Kalvebod Fælled tæt på byen – Danmarks første bynære naturnationalpark – giver os muligheder for at se og mærke naturen, så vi lærer at holde af den og tage vare på den.
