(00:00):
Hello everybody, welcome back toDND 4/4.
I am your DM Tony and join with me today are the other three
foods that we eat on a long drive on that coastal sunset
road trip followed by the sweet yet salty.
Jared, what's? Going on guys almost checking in
and my snack of choice on a roadtrip would be chicken Nuggets.

(00:25):
They're great. Perfect easy food.
You're very very easy to to transfer from from cup holder to
mouth I guess. From Eat a plain exactly.
As you said that that. That is the key to this.
Conversation. That is why Jared can eat these.
I'm a dipper dude. I dip stuff.
I can't be using both hands whenI got one on that's driving not.
That I haven't done it while driving.

(00:47):
But you know I. Said D&D 404.
I got this sticky pad that I putmy sauce on so it doesn't fall
off and I'll just be like driving you.
Got to get the VANC clip it likeclips onto your vent and then
you can just like. That's amazing.
Or just fill up the whole cup holder with the ketchup.
There you go, just. Dip it.
Hell yeah, Dan, what about you? Hello everybody, My name is Dan.

(01:07):
I play Minnis Peppa Walker, yourtiny little swarmkeeper Ranger.
And if we're talking about food that I need just to like get
some energy while I'm on a road trip, honestly I just, my go to
is power bars, you know, proteinbars.
I don't know if I have a specific one, just whatever
peanut butter protein bar I can grab is going to be the easiest

(01:28):
thing for me to eat on the road.If you're talking snacks, it'll
probably be combos. Combos.
What do you mean combos? You're right, combos before.
Yeah, they're like Little Brown from the West Coast.
I know what combos are. Yeah, the pepperoni pizza ones
are the best pizza combos. Pepperoni pizza.
Ones are really good. There's seven layer dip ones, my
favorite, but it's not around anymore.
I've never had anyone what? About you, Alec.

(01:50):
Yeah, my name is Alec, I played Drill of the Ashbourne and my go
to snack behind the wheel is easily sunflower seeds.
I've been eating sunflower seedssince I've been a kid.
Love them. Easy to do, easy to eat while
driving through the best. You wash it down with a nice

(02:10):
cold white monster and you're fucking set.
Thank you. You stole half my answer, but
you know what? I'll I'll accept it.
I'll accept it. I'm going to go with a hot dog.
Fully loaded, by the way. I'm talking all condiments.
Not a corn dog, a hot dog. No hot dog, ketchup, mustard,

(02:31):
relish. Fully loaded, it's already on
the perfect vehicle. Perfect transport while driving.
You don't got a movie mountain nut, it just goes right in
there. Perfect.
Drives on a shirt while he's driving.
Absolutely not. You definitely do.
I'm an experienced. Hot dog to see your driver OK?
And no spillage. I trust you.
I think. I think there's a good chance
when you're eating that behind the wheel compared to everybody

(02:53):
else. But we.
We will test it dude. I will go on a 10 minute drive
with you. You know, there you go, white
T-shirt. And just scarf a glizzy.
What? I'll go on a bumpy road and out
and confident. I like the confidence.
White shirt here. Bumpy Rd.
Nebraska. Longest hot dog you've seen in
your life. We'll get one from Sonic.
You know what I'm saying? Fully loaded that bed.
My shirt will come out clean. 6 inch or 4 long?

(03:14):
Yeah. I'm talking down that foot long
Chicago dog. Yeah, you like the ones with
like the slice of pickle in there or what, man, I mean?
You got your muscle, Relish nothing.
Yeah. Killed me.
That was such a beat trap too. So good.

(03:36):
Oh, all right, Tony, run us down, please.
You know the deal, before we do the recap, we're going to do the
rundown and I'm doing the rundown today and when I'm
running down is merch. That's right, we have the full
St. wear line on the website dnd404.com.
It's springtime, BB, you know what that means?
It's cold in the morning, warm in the evening, which is perfect

(03:59):
hoodie weather year round. All right, you cold at night,
you got a hoodie. You cold during the day because
you got thin skin, you got a hoodie.
And guess what? It's got your favorite character
on it too, and it looks cool. It's Japanese 80s inspired and
it fits all sizes. That's right, we get we go down
from extra small to just cinnamon Norris sizes.
OK, your boy weighs a couple XS on his back and I got guarantee

(04:22):
you we got you covered in those sizes.
So go ahead, get your big back self a hoodie.
Keep warm this spring and we're going to go ahead and go ahead
and roll for the the recap. Nice.
Now you know the I'm going to roll my giant foam D4.
I am number 12 is Alec, 3 is Dan, 4 is Jared.
I'm going to shoot it behind my back.

(04:42):
Biscuits. Redo I'm.
Going to shoot it behind my back.
Has elites touch the rim? And.
Then I'll accept it. You're also like real into the
camera, which I appreciate, but it you're block it, OK.
Redo it. Redo.
Yeah, we're stuck in the behind the back thing.
Turn a little more. There you go.

(05:03):
Yeah, but your hand, when you goup, you're going to block the
you're going to block the shot, though.
Yeah, they they go. So you got to put your hand down
right away. You.
I'll take it. Hit the door.
You. Take.
It. Yeah, I'll take it.
I trust you. Pick it up, man.
What is it? Yeah, pick it up.
Let's go. Short, yeah.
It's fine. Too excited about it.

(05:25):
It's it's Dan or me. Yeah, it's one.
Of us. There it is.
You know I don't trust you now that I think about it.
Roll that back man. Last time on DND four O 4, the
gang finds themselves standing in the Observatory of Birth with
a black spiraling staircase ascending below them.

(05:46):
While standing on the platform, they also saw 4 doors that
looked like they were all connected at different levels of
the spiraling staircase. They engaged in discussion about
their surroundings, they deciphered some of the languages
on the gates, but they ultimately decided to ascend one
of the towers of Academia that were connected to one of the
four doors that they saw. After climbing the the tower,

(06:09):
they find themselves in a bluishpurple marble room with all the
statues around. We spent some time examining the
statues, found out they were heroes.
Some of them were from a group called the Cinder Talons.
That guys found themselves experiencing their own
flashbacks when they awoke or reawakened or came back to.

(06:29):
However you want to put it from the flashbacks, we were all
separated. Drell found himself in a Chapel
in the middle of battle with a large demon.
Menace found himself in a maze like library.
Armos found himself in an archive I guess in the corner of
the library with a mirror. Drell ends up killing the demon

(06:51):
menace, finds a key and kills a hydra egg, and Armos confronts
an alternative universe version of himself.
Question mark Bard, play that intro.
Good morning, good afternoon andgood evening and welcome to the
world of Humbrea. Featuring three first time
adventurers and one very patientDM.

(07:14):
This is DND four O 4 boys Boyos welcome to session 135 where we
pick up with the three of you separated after your own trials
and tribulations in the tower ofacademia and memories Menace.

(07:36):
You just got fresh from a littlefight a little fight with an egg
of a false hydra Armos. You just fought a bunch of these
little Shard minions with a alter like an altered version of
yourself and drell. You were trading blows with
another guardian demon of this realm and it took some nasty

(07:58):
hits on you and like a blink of an eye of combat was over.
However, you were left certainlyscarred and wounded your place
as you went to go look for your companions.
Menace. You are currently on the third
floor of this tower, standing before now a broken blood giant

(08:20):
bloodshard chassis with a blown up egg sack in front of you.
Drell. You went through the fireplace
in the library room, chasing after a bunch of these shardmite
brains that were running away from one of your throwing axes.
Going through the flame. You ended up back in the Chapel
where you were fighting the guardian demon, climbing out of

(08:42):
a Pew almost like a secret passageway.
And Amos. You are currently in the archive
as well, coming from the entrance from the main room
where you were fighting all these little Shard minions with
an altered version of yourself and you were able to lock the
door, securing your safety. Now that the each each of you

(09:04):
are out of combat and the memoryskips or time skips that were
happening previously before Menace came killed the false
Hydra egg, we're now going to pick up with the three of you as
that mysterious effect is no longer happening.
You're good, Sid. All right, let's take a breather

(09:25):
before we get back out of here. And I'm going to use an action
to use a deft explorer feature to give myself temporary hit
points. That's AD. 8 Go ahead and heal
yourself with AD 8 You also havethis strange bloodshot looking
key. Found that in one of the books,

(09:46):
one of the many, many books thatthe titles just seem to blend
together. At this point, you're not sure
how you picked you picked up this book.
You really don't recall through the haze of the secrets of books
you were looking through or the paths you've taken to get this
book. You just know you have this key
now. I mean I I did pick it up

(10:07):
though. You have yeah, you did pick it
up, but you but you were like reading and looking through
books and this key was in the middle of a book like where the
pages were carved out for a keyhole specifically meant to
hide this key We role. Played it so I remember that,
Sure did. So I'm gonna I guess I don't

(10:29):
know if there's much to investigate in here, but I do
want to just walk up the what looks like vines, like blood
vines up to this egg and just double check that it's dead the.
Egg in front of you is splattered open the the outer
shell is bursted and you see a shriveled corpse and when you

(10:49):
look at the corpse you see like it's like squirreling around but
it looks like a blur to you. You can't, I can't make out an
official lot like an official detail of what this thing looks
like in its true form as it squeals.
It's like kind of like blurring your vision as it eventually
completely evaporates inside of a broken husk.

(11:13):
The vines that are all around this room that are spreading
from the egg, which were once pumping full of blood like
veins, are now shrilled up and brink and breaking off in a
similar way as if you were like burnt, burnt tree branches.
And as you step on them, they begin crumbled dust.
All right, we did good here, Sid.

(11:34):
Let's go. And I'm going to walk out of the
staircase at the southern end ofthis room.
Sure. And you walk out of the southern
spiral staircase, which leads you back down into the library.
As you descend down those stairs, you notice that the
vines up level leading up the staircase as well, also breaking
and evaporating beneath your boots, beneath your hooves.

(11:57):
And as you descend, we're going to go to Armos, who is also in
the library at the other end of this maze like Hall of Books.
Armos, what are you doing? Do I remember everything that
just happened like in in betweenmy glimpses or?
Do you remember them in a haze and you understand what
happened? If you wanted to recall each

(12:19):
specific event, you would have ahard time doing that because a a
lot of time has passed and what felt like a short amount of
time, you know that you met yourulterior self.
He was a different choice in life.
He just he did not pursue revenge in his life.
He pursued wizardry. He went to he went to various

(12:41):
colleges, he studied magic and pursued that life.
He did not garner a path of revenge.
I. Hate that guy, those little
monsters. I forgot to ask this in our last
session. Did I kill any of them?
You did kill several. You killed 'cause they were so

(13:02):
weak. Yeah. 13 Whoa.
Damn morose. Holy jeez I'm going to start
looking around. I see many leather bound books
and I just want to see if there's one that like sticks out
to me for any particular reason and if so I want to grab it and
get a look at it 'cause I I wasn't able to.

(13:25):
I can't recall looking at a bookfrom here and I see obviously
the big something big at the endof the hallway.
Yeah. So go ahead and give me an
investigation check as you like looking through these books on
that are stacked on the shelves.13.
You look through these books andalthough they are organized,
they don't they you. You see tomes of like various

(13:46):
low level spells. You see memoirs of various
creatures and heroes, but they are you like skim through some
of them and you realize you're reading a book about a
creature's life like an alligator or like some type of
astral plane version of a reptilian creature.
It's like food, hunt, eat family, breed, egg, food.

(14:12):
And you look through a bunch of these books along the rack and
you realize that these are thoughts of low intellectual
creatures in book form. There's no rhyme or reason.
There's no chapters, prologues, epilogues, nothing.
It does not read like a story. You do see some books of medium
level intelligence creatures andhumanoids, and it looks like

(14:34):
various thoughts, except those thoughts are written out as
names of people they've met. Little short memories.
They read like like each little memories written like a passage
very shrunk down on the page, but it doesn't read like a
normal book. Nothing really sticks out to you
as you get like the section thatyou're in is scattered memoirs
is the best way to put it. But at the end of that hall, you

(14:56):
see this giant book leaning up against the corner of the wall,
and it looks like a giant tome of spells.
Spells. Armos is very intrigued and
quickly starts reading. You look, you look, go towards
the book and you see at the brimof the of the tome itself is has

(15:18):
a magical aura on. It and the.
Page that it's open to is a spell you recognize.
It's the spell true Polymorph. On that book, on its pages, it
tells you what true Polymorph does, and you know what it does.
You know this spell, you know how it works inside and out, but
the various notes you see are runes of Bay loon.
You see different organs drawn on it, humanoid type organs,

(15:43):
lungs with a giant X over it. You see a liver, a stomach, you
see a heart. The heart is highlighted and
then you see some other scratchings and dribbles on it
and it looks like the the true polymorph spell is highlighted
around the organ of a heart. And then you see some

(16:05):
information about blood. The information you see about
blood is all scientific, how blood works, how many, how many
ounces or pints a a human would have, how it affects the body,
what its purpose does, how it's used to to the common knowledge
of in your in the world of Humbrea, how important it is it

(16:27):
is to somebody. You see some notes that a
toddler would make about kids like blood, good blood stay in
body. And then you see some highly
scientific investigative work about blood, where it controls
oxygen, where it goes from one organ to another as it works as
the juice of the body, the the main lubricator, all these weird

(16:49):
ways to describe what blood actually does.
And then you see the heart, a picture of a heart highlighted
something using the True Polymorphs spell and a heart.
So there's not an actual like heart around, it's just pictures
of. Pictures of a heart, yes.
Gotcha. You're familiar with these type
of scribings, Wizards and even warlocks and any type of magical

(17:09):
user, when they're trying to create or manipulate a spell to
their understanding or want to experiment with spells, they'll
make these type of scrawlings. And you have made some of these
in the past as well. Ramblings about Mad Men.
Yeah, so I guess that's what I'll be doing.
There's something else I want todo, but I'll let Joe go.

(17:34):
So you investigate this book, and this takes up your time and
definitely fascinates you. And then we're going to go to
Drell. Drell, You were coming out of a
trap door in the Chapel where you were fighting this Bayloon
demon. You had escaped it.
You left it, and you found yourself back here.
When you went through the fireplace seemed like really
random. You're not sure how the two add
up. The fireplace felt like a portal

(17:55):
and the next thing you know you were climbing up a ladder here.
As you move one of the pews out of the way, you're like in this
small confessionals type room. You open the door and that's
where the big room was. You see this floating bloodshot
from the demon you killed? Oh man, right back where I
started. OK fuck.
Well I know I got to go meet up with the guys real quick, but I

(18:19):
need to. I want to try to get in one of
these doors and see if something's behind here, so can
as soon as I walk out of the room, can I go to the door on
the left and try to open it? You open the door which is to
the left of the main entrance going eastward, and you see that
there's this big giant suit of armor that that immediately

(18:41):
greets you as you enter into this room and it looks like a
statue, but the armor is some that you you notice it is armor
from your time. You notice that guards would
wear this, specifically high-ranking guards within
cities. This looks like a Royal Guards
armor suit, but embellished and oversized.
OK. In that same room you also see a

(19:03):
small circular room which resembles a tower.
It goes lay high up and there's stained glass at the top of that
little tower sectioning some books and go over to the books.
They're all written in common. Nice.
These are all books, religious books.
You see that there's a book on each God that you're familiar
with. Cord, Melora, Sif.

(19:25):
Sif. No, I hate that guy.
All these different religious books from your round, Bob
Shantay, Siric Engineer, Cif, Cord as Asmodeus, Gond Helm,
etcetera. One sticks out.
You see that there's a book labeled Bandobaris.
Oh God, it's all coming full circle and I grabbed the book.

(19:50):
Grab the book and then there's the full history of Bandobaris.
You look in there and it's a it's a, it's a God who depicts
halflings. It's He's often referred to as
the God of halflings. And the God of trickery and
games and luck. And it's all these little
childhood stories and passages about bandabaris.

(20:11):
How he likes to play games with people, meet new people, romance
all people of all other kinds, change shapes, sizes, different
races, species, genders on occasion.
And to fraternize and wander thematerial plane.
He's most commonly known as the God of trickery.
Oh my God, it says here he's a vegetarian.

(20:32):
No wonder him. I mean it's got along so well.
OK, does it talk about anything?I guess not like reincarnation,
but talking about like if he were to die or I guess like
Darrell's just trying to think of the last time he saw him in
that jail cell. And he's trying to think if

(20:54):
like, did a God die right in front of him or was that like
his human form that he was like temporarily in?
Like, I guess like anything along those lines in the book.
It doesn't say anything about ifhe's currently alive or dead, it
just tells the history of it. But as you flip through some of

(21:14):
these books, you do know that the life of a God is quite
impactful and often shapes the realm and how it is currently to
you. They continue to shape the realm
and evolve it. You do know that if there would
be a section where we're theorized how it would react if
this God would die or cease to exist.

(21:35):
And you see that as you continueto read, you think that the life
of Halflings or their way of thought may cease to exist and
may stop influencing the major realm as a whole.
You know that if Vanderbars wereto pass what as it says, do you
think it would impact the way that half wings live their life?

(21:56):
They are commonly jovial, although they like to play
tricks in a very playful nature, make really good thieves.
They think that way of life would begin to begin to be
skewed as he's not influencing the world anymore and it would
have a small to medium impact onlife overall and make a not so
big of a scene if he were to leave.

(22:19):
OK, interesting. And you notice that his like
symbol looks like 1/2 linked footprints and there's like
different variations of this symbol.
It looks like it could be in dirt, mud, foliage.
But the half linked footprint isthe common theme of all of his
symbols and religious relics. And just to be more specific,

(22:39):
his common domains mechanically are healing, luck, travel, and
trickery. And those are all the stories.
All the stories in the book reflect those 4 main traits.
Got it. OK, maybe I'll keep that book.
So Drill puts it in his bag. He thinks maybe Menace would
like to read up on it because Menace was like friends with

(22:59):
them. So I think he might use it or be
interested in it. I guess I want to do one last
look over on the bookshelf, makesure I didn't miss anything
before I head out. And then as I head out, I want
to look at that armor again. And I'm just curious, what size
does it look like? It looks much taller than you it

(23:21):
looks like. Damn it.
It's meant to be admired, not practical.
Bro Terrell Widow came back to his friends wearing full on
knight armor. That would have been the
funniest thing. I'll.
Allow you to take the helmet forcosmetic reasons.
Nice. Wear the helmet.
But can I fit my sunglasses under it?
Yes, it's really big. All right, Dope Drill puts on

(23:43):
the helmet and then he continuesto walk out.
And I want to just try that other locked door one more time.
I think that was on the far side, the north side of the
building. Yeah.
So I walk out of the room and then I go to the north side.
Yeah, there are two locked doors.
One of them has a keyhole and the other one does not.
The one that doesn't smells pretty bad.

(24:03):
The one that does have a keyholeyou don't get any sense from
other than evil. OK, I tried to open the evil
door. It is locked.
Can't try to break the door. How would you like to try to
break the door? Actually, can I try to pick the
lock? How?
Would you like to pick the lock?I'm going to take out one of my
throne axes and I'm going to usethe butt of the throne axe and

(24:26):
try to shove it in the hinge andtry to pick it because I don't
ever want to. Slide a handshake.
All right, nice. That's an 18.
As you shove the butt of the hand axe through the keyhole,
there's oversized hand axe through a tiny keyhole.
You see that the red door beginsto glow red.
Knocks you back as you take. Oh fuck. 14 points magical

(24:49):
bludging damage as you are forced back 10 feet.
Damn it, so the last thing I'm going to do is then as drill
just makes his way back to the guys because he already knows
the way over there since he he walked this way, he's just going
to drink a health ocean. Cut the menace.
All right, so let's go find out what this key goes to.

(25:12):
Yeah. I saw a passageway over on the
east side. Maybe we should just check that
out, huh? All right.
Yeah. Let's go that way.
Well, what's this thing? I see this.
Down the hall you see this brainthat has been crystallized over,
mixed with blood shards, with all these loose tendrils and a

(25:33):
bird like beak sticking out of its back, sticking out of it,
out of the brain. And it's holding a book and it
looks like it's reading as it's quickly skimming through various
books. Yeah, it's holding like 3 books
at the same time and using it's little potentials to skim
through the pages. Excuse me?
You didn't happen to see a Goliath go through this way, did
you? And a defling.

(25:54):
It does ignores you. It keeps skimming.
Like rude. I'm just.
Goodbye you. OK, I'm just going to Yep, this
is fine. That's fine.
They're more it's like find the passageway on the eastern side.

(26:17):
Find this passageway on the eastern side of this blue marble
like bridge and you see two of these Shard brained creatures
and they're looking also lookingthrough varies Mark good day
excuse me, good day. You're just throwing bucks and
you're like ducking out the way.Is there OK all?
Right with your bucks guys, guys, hello as I'm crossing this

(26:42):
bridge to what looks like a castle.
When you enter this room, crossing the bridge, it gets you
to another part of the tower, a separate room.
There's stone black obelisk walls all around, just like from
the room you came with a large stained glass roof.
And in the middle of the room over the bridge over this murky

(27:02):
oily blood water that is being poured in from various cracks in
the wall is this Chapel search like building in the middle of
the room. Guys, you also see the main
entrance doors open. Hello, menace drill.
I do UC drill. Hey, hey.
What? What's on your head?

(27:23):
Oh, this old thing. Nothing looks sick.
I lift up the the visor part of the helmet and it just has my
sunglasses. He looks like a little kid with
a really big hat. Yeah, exactly.
You look sick. Yeah, that's what I thought.
Sick. What's?
Going on here, you know? Yeah, I'm.
Just trying to break over these doors.

(27:44):
I mean some of them are locked, but like I got into one.
I found this helmet and a book and you know, some other stuff
but. As two of you talk, we're going
to shift over to Armos. Armos, you are currently
studying this book with Reginaldand Reginald is trying to read
it through with you trying to make sense of it.
Which will probably morph. OK, well that's a funny looking

(28:05):
organs. You said that was a kidney.
Yeah, something like that. OK.
And that's a lung. You breathe out of these things.
Yeah. Yeah, that's.
All I need those. You're saying that's where love
comes from? No, I think Menace said that.
Oh, OK, but but like belief too, right?

(28:26):
Yeah. You know this is a complicated
question. But anger?
Yeah. Oh, OK, OK, so it doesn't just
so love is inside like this is something you guys make inside
of you. Yes, wow.
And just to just to get them really thinking and it comes out

(28:48):
of your pores as well. It's really gross and weird.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's a poor ask Menace?
Ask menace. And I started walking, walking
away. I want to as I'm walking down
the hall, trying to like find myway through this whole place, I
just want to pick up a book and like do something nefarious to

(29:14):
it. Because I feel like if that book
said said a bunch of things of possibly to help or, you know,
like things to help him, maybe some of these books are maybe
helping a crystal in some way orgiving him some knowledge.
So I want to try to like destroyone of the books.

(29:36):
Take a book and it's one of these books of various thoughts
from a creature. You catch fire bolt and you
ignite it and it begins to burn up.
You look onto the shelf and you see that it begins to slowly re
materialize. Interesting.
All right, cool. I'm going to find my way through

(29:57):
the this I guess library of somesort.
So I just start going through the maze.
It's. Like Brinth?
Labrinth. I'm a genius.
There's no minotaur. You spend some time do you go
through this and you notice these brain Shard brain looking

(30:20):
creatures with bird beaks and tendrils and they are flipping
through books. And she don't get ready.
I keep getting hazy things. Hazy things.
What are they they're. Like these little brain
creatures that just. It's really a brain.
I teach you what brains is, and now you're telling me what
brains are. Come on, tell me something new.
They're they just absorb like knowledge.

(30:42):
They. Just like and.
They they're like they transferred messages.
Back. You said enough, you said
enough. Not going that way.
Not going that way. And as you go through, you make
yourself through this maze. There's another one.
And you go through and you find this blue marble stone bridge

(31:02):
and as you climb these blue marble stairs leading to a
wooden bridge, you notice that you are now in this giant room
with stained glass. The bridge is over this bubbly
oil like blood water with a Chapel church in the middle of
the room with the moon looming ominously over it that you've as

(31:24):
you enter you see menace and drill.
Kick the door open. Whoa.
Oh. Hey, Ross, you good?
What are you? Doing wait, wait, but I I
thought this was I thought this was some bad wait.
This is drill that you under there.
Got a sick helmet? Yeah, what's up?
Well, red and ready. Isn't that way too big way?

(31:47):
Too smaller doesn't really fit. No, it's fits me just fine, you
guys. Smaller, right?
Yeah, otherwise the helmet wouldfit.
Yeah, Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Oh, Speaking of helmets, I had to put on all reliable.
There's a baby hydra. Oh, so that's what was going on.

(32:07):
Yeah. Wait, you beat a Hydra?
Wait, what? I mean, it was a, it was a baby.
You beat up babies. Yeah, see.
Killed the baby. One evil, really evil creature
I. Mean if it was true, it was evil
even. Have a sense of morality.
It is evil. It's literally made of souls.

(32:28):
Yes, it's evil. Are we all made of souls?
I thought we hate this discussion.
No, I have my We are made of ourown soul.
We make our soul. It's we don't have time for
this. Reginald, remember what I was
telling you about pores? It doesn't even have any pores
yet. Poor.
Poor what? Like a tall drink.
Yeah, yeah. That would make drinks.
Are you talking to them about drinks?

(32:50):
Just maybe lucky to be a demon. You guys weird?
Alright, listen. I took care of it though.
It looks like we're not going tohave to worry too much about
that anymore. And you say took care of it.
It's dead. Dead almost.
It's dead. Well, yeah, really see another
side of you and it's. You put the baby to sleep.
He doesn't air quote, Reginald doesn't air quotes.
The baby's down for a nap. You're not going to make me feel

(33:13):
bad about this you. Kill the baby that's.
Pretty intense. So look at this frog in the top
left. You look at this frog statue
that's sitting on top of a pile of all these little blood
shards. It's a giant statue.
It's a statue of Ritz Gulak, demonic toad form.
Evil. All right, I'm going to go look

(33:33):
at other stuff. Yes, Sir.
Menace, this is the door I told you over here.
And I point to the door, but I mean, Oh yeah, that thing over
there, I don't really know what it is.
And I point to the giant like thing across the bridge.
That's what is it. It's not like Bloodshard, but
it's something. Yeah, there's a second bridge

(33:53):
leading out of the Chapel in this room to a black obelisk
pedestal. Yeah, I don't think I want to
know what it is. And it's in the middle of the
water, and it overlooks a specific spot in the in this
tower room, right under the bluish telish moon shining
through the stained glass, lookslike a place of reflection.

(34:13):
Yeah, Irmos probably wouldn't goout there.
Irmos is still messing with the the statue.
Like, like it's actually Rich Watson's.
Like, I'm gonna absolutely ruin your life when I see you next.
He tries to break the statue in some way.
You perform various amounts of graffiti to the statue.
Yeah, this menace. You feel a rumbling within your

(34:36):
pouch. Specifically from the book
Keith. All right, I found this when I
was under the spell, I guess youcould say from the hydro when it
was doing its sing song and probably got to go to this.
So let's try it out. Oh yeah, Drill takes a step
back. I throw the book behind me and
take out the key and just going to put it in and twist.

(34:58):
You place the key in there. Yeah, by the way, that door
likes to hit you back. What slides in as if it's being
pulled in the door unlocked? It stands up and flinches, ready
for a blast. Way where it sounds like the the
what's on the other side of thisdoor is very hollow, like a

(35:18):
cave. Minutes opens his eyes.
I think I'm good. Drill.
Am I good? Did I get hit?
Yeah. Yeah, you're good.
OK, you open the door. You stop it.
I opened it. You open the door.
Why'd you close, Dean? Just like in the room of
previous, right before you entered the tower.

(35:39):
Is this fast room of space that looks all around, You do not see
any platforms other than a staircase made of red marble,
like blood shards ascending upwards and it sends into a
spiral that continues to head up.
I don't know where else we're going, so I'm heading in.

(36:01):
Drill follows menace. Yep, let's let's see where this
goes. Now we're good.
You take the staircase and you begin to ascend Bloodshot
staircase. As you ascend you eventually
goes into a spiral as if you were ascending a tower.
And then almost as a blink of aneye you begin to see walls form

(36:23):
around you. Black obelisk like walls.
You feel like you're entering another 4 of this tower and as
you enter the room you are greeted with various colors.
Floor is pitch black, there's this stained glass ceiling with
the moon high above and in frontof you the large black obelisk

(36:44):
pedestal. The floor around you is black
like space with the tiles in between illuminating orange and
purple. The platform that looks like a
staircase has a massive portal on it and is completely
encompassed by all these blood shards.
Above that is a giant demon skull with all these red blood

(37:06):
shards on the four corners of the room to your east and West.
This room looks like a This tower room looks more like a
rectangle that is completely enclosed.
Are these weird pseudopod like relics.
They are warbling in and out like like it's breathing like a
worm. And this worm like statue that

(37:27):
looks alive is hovered around these two green gems.
There's a gem on your right, There's a gem on your left.
You look like living statues. And on the center of the
pedestal before you is this blood Shard flicked mind flare
almost. You look at this mind flare that
has been completely corrupted bythe Bay Loon magic.

(37:50):
Eyes are red, skin is torn apartinside our blood Shard spilling
out it's tendrils coming from the back of its skull, and
multiple eyes gleaming red are opening from various parts of
its face as the tendrils over its mouth form the shape of a
skull. The mind fire is completely
naked with the blood shards accenting as some type of royal

(38:14):
clothing of some kind as you instantly know this as one of
the prophets that led you into the castle Jurassic though
Prophet of knowledge and conquest.
And it turns to you, you see as it lowers its hand from the
portal that's in front of it. And you saw him swiping through
various worlds as if he's looking through the stars to

(38:38):
find another planet or landscapeof some kind.
As if he's scouring the astroplane and he looks at you,
see his red eyes narrow in you, feel this immense pressure of
evil emanating from his body. The staircase that you just came
from begins to seal, shuts behind me, and begins to descend

(39:01):
the staircase to the bottom step.
Or nuisance, mere flakes of intellect coming to challenge
what is greatly above them. Your witnessing power.
But you have never seen orchid possibly obtain in your weak

(39:23):
vessels you call a body, your small minds nothing here.
They wouldn't fill a book on my shelf.
And I will reach you from this tower in his good name.
And you hear this, his mouth does not move.
You hear the voice reverberate in your mind as he's speaking

(39:43):
telepathically. As you see the four begins to
light up R just a purple and it begins to shift and circular.
And then you see the relics on either side of the room begin to
shine as the worm like pseudopodthat's wrapped around these
green gems begin to breathe repeatedly in and out.
And we're going to have everybody roll initiative.
God, what is up with this universe and all the tentacles?

(40:06):
Stones wet dreams. That's an 18 for a drill 12. 17
for Menace. We're just going to start the
combat round on Initiative 20, alayer action as the relic on the
left begins to shine and all Do you see the ground rumble?
You see all these blood Shard pillars erect into the room, and

(40:28):
all these bloodshot pillars surrounding you in a triangle
formation as a burst out of the black obelisk ground.
They are 15 feet high and about 10 feet wide, almost forming as
a physical barricade between youand the corrupted Mind flare you
see as the relic on the right begins to shift and begins to

(40:52):
move in place along the side of the wall.
I want to need everybody to makeyou a Dexterity saving throw
over DC-16 as a massive beam like laser shoots out from one
end of the room to the other. Four wait 5. 17. 14 Rough.
If you failed, you're going to take 16 points of radiant as a

(41:16):
large beam comes and knocks you off the sides.
You feel this large, impactful force coming from the relic as
we move to initiative. 18 OK, Sowhat Drell would like to do is
can I go up and just try to attack the Bloodshard column

(41:38):
that that came up through the ground right in front of us?
Absolutely. OK.
Try to break it. So I'm going to go up to the A
column that's directly in between myself and the cryptic
mind flare, and I'm just going to try to break it.
Go ahead, roll a hip. 13. You attack it and as you see
that as your axe connects, blue Shard illuminates and you

(41:58):
realize how fragile it is and itexplodes.
Nice, you are going to take. Not nice.
Everybody is going fuck make everybody make me a Dexterity
saving throw over DC-16. If you fail, you're going to
take 19 points of magical piercing damage.
I have 20 for minutes. 14 Dirty 20. 20 almost.

(42:19):
You're going to take 19 points of magical piercing damage as it
explodes and erupts. Guys, look out.
Oh shit, my bad, almost. And then can I use the rest of
my movement to attack the Mindflower?
It is from your. Yes, you can get up to it with
the rest of. Your movement.

(42:40):
OK, so I advance with the rest of my movement and I'll take my
last two attacks on the Mind Flare.
That's a 25 to hit 25 and a 19 to hit a 19.
And I would like to also bonus action, go into a rage.
I'm just going to do that now and get it out the way.
You see as you land those two attacks that they were about to

(43:01):
hit pentacles come out from hit the back of his skull and
absorbs that blood. You know you're kicking, but you
tried to connect with the body and it looks like this.
That stopped you from making a full connection with it.
OK, so do you want the damage though?
I do want the damage, yes. I just landed OK.
This is how he's taking. 46 points damage, 46 points, yeah,

(43:26):
and actually I would like to burn one of my superiority die
in order to make that a trip attack.
And they have to make ADC savingthrow of ADC 19 Strength saving
throw or else they're not prone.Asses.
OK, still takes the D10 of damage, Sure.
So that's six additional damage,so 52 points total.

(43:51):
Nice. As you see that as you go to get
him on the trip attack, he blocks the first two of the
tentacles as you cut them in half, cut them off from his body
as they begin to regrow in a Shard like fashion.
As you get him across his floating leg, he's hovering,
hovering in place, which is why you did not trip him, didn't
notice this. You try to take the leg from

(44:13):
him. Sweep the leg we're.
Going to move to Initiative 17. All right.
How far does it look like he's floating off the ground?
A few inches. OK, that's fine.
I'm going to cast a spell first.I am going to cast.
I'm just going to cast it a fourth level.
I'm going to cast a fourth levelspiritual weapon.
As you see a spiritual Sid pop up to mimic drill with an axe

(44:38):
and it's going to take an attackis it pops up.
Does it also have a helmet? Yeah, it has a helmet that
mimics yours, but it's. Hell yeah.
Because the city is so chodi, itkind of squashes its head in.
It's going to be a Mat 20. Nice.

(44:59):
OK, Mat Pumpkin, by the way. The helmet.
Because it takes 11 points of force damage.
Man, it rolled so low on all those. 11 points of force
damage. All right, you guys got this as
Menace is going to go 30 feet tothe northeast around one of
those spiked bloodshard mounds, whatever that is.

(45:23):
And he's going to, he's going totry and 1st do an attack roll
against the Yeah, I'm going to shoot at the relic and see if
that does anything rolled hit, because I would not like that to
continue doing what it was doing.
That's going to be a 24 to hit. 24 hits.
Or 25 as it's going to take eight points of force damage.

(45:46):
You see that when you shoot yourbullets on it, it gets stuck and
you feel like it made an impact. Then I'm gonna just shoot at it
again. That's going to be a 819 to hit
OK, as it's going to take 9 points of force damage plus some
of my SIDS for an additional 2 points of force damage. 24

(46:10):
points of force damage total andtwo points added from the SIDS,
so 26 total as they end my turn. You end your turn, you take
these shots, you feel like the shots are landing as you see
that the worm like the worm creature that is circling this
green orb relic against the bleed reacting to your shots.

(46:33):
All right now, Rose, almost. You're up.
We move to Initiative 16, which is Jurassic.
No, you see as it goes face to face with Drell.
It goes. You're empty, rage.
Nothing. As he raises his palm and he
taps the air with the finger in front of you.
Make me a wisdom saving. Oh fuck.

(46:54):
You see 19. I'm going to use my indomitable
because I rolled 3. Nice.
Come on. Big money.
I'm not going to hit this. That's a 13.
You are snapped out of your ragecalms your mind.
Bastard. And.
Then you see his pointing like finger goes into a thrustful

(47:18):
palm. We need everybody to make an
Intelligence saving throw. ADC 17.
That 20. As this psychic mind blast goes
out as angels flail. Went from a Nat 20 to A2.
I got a. One I got a 13 again,
back-to-back thirteens. Both of you are going to take 36

(47:40):
points of psychic damage almost. You're going to take half that
as menace Drell. As you take that damage, you are
invaded and flooded various memories that are not your own.
You see Jurassic. No you see him manipulating this
hydra egg, turning it from a hard shell to A to a pulsating

(48:05):
flesh set that you saw in the previous room and you see he's
manipulating it with blood shards.
You also see that Kristen is standing over his shoulder,
except he doesn't look like a minute.
The only resembling factor that you see is his giant Ruby red
Bloodshot gauntlet, and he is adorned in his black robes with

(48:27):
red glowing eyes from underneaththe hood.
And he is messing with this hydra egg to essentially create,
and he's using Bloodshot to insert and erase memories from
it as he's testing it and essentially torturing the
creature to its own design. And then it snaps back.
But then you see that he, as youcome back to that, he had moved

(48:51):
30 feet to the West as he moved to an issue.
Well, Arbos. All right, So almost everything
is out of like out of range of his movement over to the South
of where the staircase was, South of where Menace is.

(49:12):
Basically I am going to cast a spell Shadow of Moil.
What do I have to do? Nothing, you don't have to do
anything. I cast it on myself and what it
does is a flame like shadow wreaths your body until the
spell ends causing you to becomeheavily obscured to others.
The shadow turns dim light within 10 feet into you Into

(49:37):
Darkness, and the bright light in the same area to dim.
The best part about the spell? Until the spell ends, you have
resistance to radiant damage. In addition, whenever a creature
within 10 feet of you attacks you, you do 2DA chronic damage.
Cool. So yeah, I'm.
Going to use quicken spells. I have to use both charges to

(50:00):
make it a bonus action, which isthe 2 that I have.
So Quicken spell for those who don't know.
You can use source viewpoints. He has metamagic in depth and
Quicken spell allows you to makea spell that normally takes an
action. Yes, and I'm an Alger blast.
Surprise, surprise no. Go ahead, Alger Blast.

(50:21):
When Drell hit the barriers thatwere near us, how big of an
explosion was it it? Was a 10 foot radius.
OK. And it looks like currently
everyone is out of the range of those, so I'm going to use two
of mine, one on each and then the other two on relic that
Minish also shot. OK, go ahead, roll a hit.

(50:41):
So the first is going to be the Spire on the left at 22 to hit,
the second Spires at 26 to hit. Both of those explode on.
Impact and then I got a 21 to hit the relic and then I got a
that one. The first elder's blast, the one
that failed, bounces off. It hit the gem and it goes to

(51:01):
another direction. The other one hits the worm
wrapped around the gem. And how much damage do you need?
We're. Going to move to Initiative 18
Drell with menace on deck. Drell, what are you doing?
You are no longer ranging. All right, going to just try to
do what I can do. I'm going to advance 30 feet
forward versus this gold ring right in front.

(51:21):
Of me, that's my spiritual weapon.
I'm going to look at the spiritual weapon and and just
say let's do this. Try to give him a head butt with
our helmets together. I'm going to take a holy clink.
Yeah, I'm going to take 30 feet of movement to get next to the
mind flare, and I'm going to take my attacks.
And I'm also going to say I'm going to look at minutes and

(51:42):
just say I'm really banking on you on this one.
And I'm going to attack recklessly on this mind flare.
Absolutely. Go ahead and roll hit.
First one's a 19 to hit. You see, as it goes to hit, he
raises his hand and casts shieldas a reaction and he simply
says. No.
My bad, accidentally didn't attack recklessly.
It's actually a 26. Maybe.

(52:05):
I was like, I'm attacked. I only rolled one time and I'm
like oh I should fucking do the advantage part.
OK, he has. Right now he has 20.
Three AC OK rad. The next one is a 30.
The third one is come on, I'm going to burn a luck point to re
roll one of my attack hits. There we go last one's a 29.

(52:27):
OK, so that is going to be 77 damage like that?
You slash across him and you make contact with his chest as
he tries to block with his face tendrils, and you cut right
through them as they regrow withBloodshot.
Bloodshot. He looks at you.
Significant more temps are. You tired?

(52:51):
So I'm going to take my left hand, I'm going to slowly lower
the helmet visor and I'm going to say you're futile.
And I'm going to action surge and hit them three more times.
That's good. So the first one is, and these
are also attacking recklessly, by the way.
Sure. OK, So the first one is a 24 to
hit. The next one is a the second one

(53:15):
was a 19 and then the last one is a 24 so that is 53 more
damage. And then I am also going to burn
another superiority die to make this a distracting strike so
other attackers have advantage. Two points damage, so 55 damage

(53:35):
total on my second attack. You don't hear any grunts of
pain coming from him, but you dosee this role scarring wounds as
he begins to bleed. These blood shots from every,
like every wound is being replaced with blood shots
becoming more crystalline as you're hitting.
Them and then the last thing I would do is just like the bonus

(53:56):
action, drink a potion of greater healing as fast as I can
before he hits. Sure.
Like you don't see this, but OK,that's not too bad.
That's 16 HP I get back I'm. Going to win this shift. 17
minutes. All right.
First thing I'm going to do is I'm going to step in between
Drell and Armos and I'm going tocast a first level bless, cast a

(54:22):
bless. So you 2 and me now have
blessed. That's the D4 to all your attack
rolls and saving throws. And then I'm going to tell Sid,
get over there, Adam, as the Chodi spiritual Sid moves 20
feet over to the mind player demon creature and it's going to
make an attack for there's a 28 to hit. 28 hits. 12 points of

(54:46):
force damage. Oh, very nice.
Now I turn where I am. Go to Jurassic Noodle with Armos
on deck. As you see as he looks around,
he looks at his palm as blood begins to crystallize and
coagulate upon his hand. He looks at the three again.
Goes enough, you would say, Paul.

(55:07):
Or shrieks. He's going to you see all the
tendrils from the back of his skull stretch out, become
larger, and make a a beeline towards all of you, expanding
over 80 feet, coming at each of you.
First one's going to come at Menace with a 25 to hit.

(55:28):
Yep, the. Second one's going to come at
Armos with a 22 to hit and then two on Drell with advantage an
18 to miss. Wow.
That. One misses almost 10 menace,
you're both going to take 24 points of psychic damage as
these tendrils lash out from behind his skull, reach across

(55:49):
the room, and as he's doing thatwith his hands free, you see
that he makes like an exclamation, spreads his hands
out as he casts a spell. Counterspell.
Roll me. ADC equal to 10 plus the spells
level. OK, he needs to beat a 15
because this is a fifth level. Almost is supposed to do it,
huh? Oh my God.

(56:11):
Now 1 What'd you get? 11:00 I could use dark ones and
it's AD 10. Low chance, but there's a
chance. No, no.
Dice tell the story. I am a tumble narrator.
As you see, a barrier begins to form around him on his the
center of his location as he hasglobe of invulnerability.

(56:34):
I know that I know the. Yes.
What this spell does is that an immobile shimmering barrier
appears within that radius. It's slightly stronger.
It's a 20 foot radius from him. Remains for the duration.
Begins to concentrate. Any spell level 5 or lower cast
from outside the barrier can't affect anything within it.

(56:55):
Such a spell can target creatures and objects within the
barrier, but the spell has no effect on them.
Similarly, the area within the barrier is excluded from areas
of effects created by such spells.
So if you cast fireball inside of it, nothing happens as we
move to Initiative 12 Armos. OK, interesting.
Forgot to do my layer actions. The dice tell the truth.

(57:19):
Yes, the dice tell the story. I am in Tumble narrative 5th.
OK. Seeing that and looking at the
potential layer action that's onthe wall, I mean Relic that's on
the wall, I'm going to Eldrick Blast the one that I've been
shooting just to. Sure.
Drive this thing home so Eldrickblast 15 to hit for the first

(57:42):
one. Another nap 1 you.
See it lands. However, you do not need any
impact. Then a 25 to hit.
Breaks through. You hit the fleshy pause.
And then a 25 to hit 21 total damage. 21 total damage. 21.
You see that the relic is bleeding, is bleeding.

(58:02):
I'm going to get closer to the relic, so I'm on the right side
of the room, east side of the room I guess, and I'm walking
towards the relic. We are going to Initiative 20,
which is the layer action drill on deck.
As you see the relics illuminate, you see that the
relic on the right begins to shoot again.

(58:23):
Menace and Armos make me a Dexterity scene.
So Ackman. As another beam shoots out. 19.
Bro that's like 3 Nat ones in like short period of time.
You fell as you take 20 points for Savage.
Force damage. It was radiant damage last time.

(58:43):
Force damage. You did say radiant last time.
It was radiant damage. OK, because that's the whole
reason I cast that. Yes, I.
Also have it in my notes it doessay radio damage I.
Apologize. It's like either.
Just like Blow, it says change it once Jerry casts the ability
to. Yeah, right.
It's like. Totally.
Act like it was force damage this whole time you.

(59:05):
Know it's funny I when you cast that spell I'm like OK thanks
for protecting yourself against radiance in a demon place and I
didn't catch my own fucking it'sfunny points of damage.
And then the relic on the left begins to shine as you feel
immense pressure filling the room.
It begins to come hard to breathe.

(59:28):
You feel like you're out of breath by stand standing there
you feel the weight of your armor as gravity essentially
becomes more severe. For the time being, everyone has
half move. No, all of us.
Everybody. The entire room as we move to
Initiative 18. Drill inside the globe of
invulnerability as immense pressure begins to weigh you

(59:48):
down similar to your doubt. I'm going to continue to keep
trying to attack him, yeah. So I'm going to.
Just go for it. The first one is a 29 to hit it
hit second is oof that's not good Second one is a 13 to hit.

(01:00:08):
This is oh wait, I add bless right Yeah it's only D4 it's
114. This is damn last one is a Nat
20. I'm going to make this a
menacing attack, so they need tomake a wisdom saving throw of
ADC 19 where they are frighteneduntil the end of my next turn.

(01:00:31):
You attack him, but you know without a doubt that this thing
is not scared. OK, well it should be because it
took 80 points of damage. It is as he takes 80 points of
damage. You leave a nasty scar across
his face as you drag your axe against it and he takes it and
he looks back for the first time, makes a painful grunt as

(01:00:53):
you hear. These yell inside your mind and
it sounds like a shriek. This glass shatters
insignificant pods of flesh, weak intellectual maggots,
nothing more than a bag of puss in flesh and greed

(01:01:14):
insignificance. If you see blood drools down his
face. OK, and then the last thing I'm
going to do on my turn is drink another potion of greater
healing as a bonus action and recover 13 HV Nice.
It's not a lot, but it definitely matters that we.

(01:01:34):
Move to menace. Does that movement affect my
spiritual weapon? Here's how I'm going to rule it
because it is kind of fake. It is a magical beam.
You can target it, you can move it, but it cannot.
It won't actually affect anything inside the goal, but it
doesn't get. Dispelled.
Yeah, it doesn't get dispelled but because that.

(01:01:56):
That didn't answer my movement question though.
Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, it can move, but it can't
physically affect. Me, yeah.
It's just I'm just using my bonus action to move at 20 feet
and then I'm going to minutes. Feels like Armos can kind of
finish off the one on the right. So he's going to finish off the
try to start hitting the relic on the left and I'm just going
to start slinging bullets at it,Sling bullets.

(01:02:20):
The two attacks, the 1st is a 27to hit and the second is a 19 to
hit. It's 27 points of horse damage
plus seven more points of force damage from my Sib, and then I'm
going to just hold where I am. Old as we move initiative 16,

(01:02:44):
which is drastic note with almost on deck and he is very,
very mad and he is going to attempt to best drill up first.
He's going to, you see, as thesepentacles reach out and all four
are going to try to attack. You drill puckers. 31 to hit.
That's going to hit. That's a 22 to hit.

(01:03:06):
Misses. It's another 22 to hit.
That also misses. That's another 30.
OK, I can roll AD 8 as a reaction to try to stop this
one. I have 23 AC so I need a 8.
Need a full 8. I need the full 8 to hit 31.

(01:03:27):
As you use your beastial tail toraise your AC, that's.
A2, so I-25 so this hits. You're going to take 62 points
of psychic death. Fuck, a few of these tentacles
in rays come at you. From the sounds it sounds like
you're pretty low. Does it drop you to 0?

(01:03:48):
It's just not. It's not cool.
And you? See that as you flashback.
From the pain, yes, teleporting 30 feet just outside N though
we've invulnerability and we're going to move to initiative
well. Almost almost sick of these
games. Sees the an opportunity as the
mind player moves out of the globe of invulnerability and

(01:04:09):
then immediately drops everything he does.
Starts casting something that he's never casted before and
wondering how this is going to go.
Your reign doesn't end in blood,it ends in silence and I in cast
in feeble mind. What?
Do I have to do? You have to beat ADC 19
intelligence save throw out. Of 22.

(01:04:35):
You picked the thing with great intelligence.
As you cast for everyone. Feeble Mint he goes.
The silence is deafening. On a fail safe 15 damage not as
cool. Points of damage as you feel
this heavy resistance of psychicenergy coming from your mind to
his as you make a connection as you get this vast explosion of

(01:04:59):
knowledge of various worlds at the Astral plane.
In every a glimpse of the shattered planes of existence is
with creatures dead creature spanning fields like a war zone
has path of like simple creatures, monsters to whole
cities of these species you've never seen before.

(01:05:22):
It's just completely decimated and you see the Jurassic hills
standing side by side with the crystals.
All these glimpses flash into your head as you make that
psychic connection with them. As you move to initiative 20
which is a Blair action, the relic begins to glow again as
the immense pressure begins to lift.
Is it? Roll that same one again and the

(01:05:44):
other relic, the damaged relic spawns in these two Shard brain
creatures that you saw in the library and they have these
bloodshot like pincers and they begin to float out and the two
begin to attack Armos as he's the closest one with a 19 hit.
Yeah, going to deal 7 points of normal piercing and that's going

(01:06:08):
to be that round was moved to initiative 18 drill movement is
cut in is no longer cut in half. You can move full.
OK, so he is 50 feet away from me.
So I would like to bonus action consume a swift Thistle brew,
which I'm sorry, I don't know why I keep getting this

(01:06:28):
confused. A quick Thistle brew which adds
15 feet. So that gives me 45 feet.
So what I will do is I will thenmove 45 feet.
He's within 5 feet of me. I would like to use a lunging
strike to then add five more feet to my reach, which then
would allow me to hit him. Well, to hit, that's an 18 to

(01:06:51):
hit. OK, so my first attack is 31
damage, and then I'm going to use a second superiority die to
make my last one actually to make my final lunging attack on
him. And that is going to be
attacking recklessly. 29 to hit,36 damage. 36 damage drill.

(01:07:16):
Finish it. Nice.
Oh nice. So completely bleeding and just
literally on the brink of dying.Drill is in full serious mode
and he just unleashes like fury and just keeps slashing and
slashing and slashing and then finally I feel like he just

(01:07:37):
takes his axe and just plants itin the Mind Flare's chest and
then just breaks through and the, you know, the body just
splits in half. My conquest would not be ceased
here. I would be resharded as I've
been before. You are nothing insignificant.

(01:07:57):
And as you hit him repeatedly over and over again, he calls
you a different name for dumb whack.
Stupid, foolish. Insignificant.
Slow. As you smash his flesh brain
Shard mind skull into the ground, completely flattening

(01:08:20):
him as you see the room's colorsbegin to fade from orange to
purple and he goes almost in making these weird whirling
noises. As you see the pseudopod relics
begin to bleed and crack as theybegin to deflate and the brain
of the little brain minds, the Shard brains that have come out

(01:08:43):
of the relic slowly dissipate all to the floor and bleed out.
You are now out of combat. You look, take a look around the
room and you see that the portalthat Jurassic Null was shifting
through the activists as the portal to all these worlds that
he was scrolling through no longer works.

(01:09:05):
And you see that the the pillars, the stone pillars that
make up this the outer rim of the portal crack and spread
apart. And then as silence enters the
room like a vast void, as it begins to echo like a cave once
more, hear the loud chunk like gears moving of something

(01:09:28):
unlocking from another room. Everybody good.
And I shoot at one of those brain things and kill it.
It's just attacking almost. Get them off me.
Get them off me. Should I take all my rapiers and
help almost finish these off? Oh God, sorry I didn't see those
come out. I was focused on the the fight

(01:09:50):
ahead, you know? Oh.
My God, I feel. I think, I feel Dumber.
I think I feel Dumber. I think they eat my brains.
It's all right, It's all right. Maybe if you eat their brains,
you'll get them back. I'm kidding.
I'm kidding. Not time to kid.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go do other stuff.
The staircase begins to reform where you entered.
Head of stone in front of you isalso now beginning to crack as

(01:10:12):
the room begins to shift very slowly.
Looks like it's breaking down. Now you venture back in two
Melora's embrace as I pat Chodi sit on the head, and he
dissipates away. This guy was kind of annoying
and fools of himself. Huh.
Yeah, Drill. What was he saying to you?
Drills like passed out on the ground like super.
You OK? Yeah, you can use them.

(01:10:37):
You can use some medical attention.
Charles just gives the thumbs up.
Maybe, maybe we can use this room to take a break.
Charles gives 2 thumbs up. The way the room is acting, you
cannot rest here. It looks like it's slowly
breaking apart as the stairs andpedestals begin to break away.
OK, we're going to have to get out of here.
You do notice something behind the pedestal, that large demon
skull. You notice its eyes are full

(01:10:59):
with a red liquid. However, it doesn't have the
consistency of blood and Reginald points this out to you
and. He goes, well, you can always
use that thing, but it's kind oflike a, it's kind of like a beer
tab, you know, like a keg. You know those giant kegs at the

(01:11:21):
the houses we used to go to to eat and drink?
Oh, you mean the Drill's alchemist?
Yeah, like The Alchemist, Yeah, but like, it's kind of like the
red things you've been drinking when you know the drill does
like 17 * a fight. What?
What? It's got potion liquid inside.
I wouldn't even go to potion, but kind of demons, will, you

(01:11:45):
know, like my creatures would would would sip from them and.
You did. Droll, you want to give it a
shot. Yeah, Droll gets up and starts
making his way over to it. Yeah, Rachel says.
It'll heal you up. I guess we'll find out.

(01:12:05):
Sure, you. Just kind of like have to accept
it and let it like pour into your mouth.
The more you talk about it, the less I want to do it, so it's
not great. I'll be.
I'll be. Upfront with you, it's not
great. OK, well at least thanks for the
heads up and droll Will drink some of it I guess.
Go ahead and make me a Constitution saving throw with

(01:12:25):
DC. 12, OK, we'll have plus 11 so.
We'll roll in that one. Almost did Dirty 20.
Dirty 20 You stand under this giant demonic skull as this red
potion like substance falls on as you pass and it begins to
drip and it, it tastes like blood to you.

(01:12:48):
It's high in iron but you do feel some of its magical effects
and it pours for as long as you drink.
And as you drink you notice thatthe eyes begin to dwindle down.
Mechanically, there is there's 145 health points in this for
the three of you to share and I will let you decide how much you

(01:13:10):
take from it. Drill holds out his axe.
Don't touch it. No, I'm just kidding.
It's like blood, right? I mean like a Reginald.
Definitely tastes like it. He like, shrugs.
It kind of gives you like a crooked smile, kinda.
What do you mean kind of? Asking questions, Stop asking

(01:13:32):
questions, please. It's going to make me not want
to drink it or shower in it or whatever we're doing.
Any any port in a storm, you know?
I'm going to take a potion that I have.
Yeah, I'm good. I I don't.
I don't need this. This is where I draw the line.
I can't believe you're doing this drill.
God, it's really this. Is where you draw the line.

(01:13:52):
This is they're good the. Souls, there's no souls in this,
it's just liquid anyways. Original gives a side eye.
You guys are being so mature. And then how many health points
are in it? There's 145 health points total.
Drill takes all of it I guess. Yeah, I'll tell you, man.

(01:14:14):
Yeah, drill takes all 145. And as you sip the last of it,
you notice that the room is beginning to decompose as the
the stained glass above you withthe moon shining in in this
seemingly astral plane like roombegins to like crack the room.

(01:14:34):
You feel the room is decomposingin some way and the three of you
leave through the stairs, climb down the bloodshot staircase
back into the Chapel room in thetower.
Notice that the locked door withno key holes from before drill
is now open. This is the one that smelled
bad, right? You.
Did yes, you got a foul stench from this?

(01:14:55):
10 Interesting. OK, that's where we're going to
end this week's session. Nice.
I took six potions of healing bythe way Dang, and used an action
to give myself temporary hit points with my Ranger feature.
We got some stuff to talk about.I'll drink.
My potion of healing. I did not get a lot temp HP.

(01:15:16):
I know I'll. Drink 3 of mine.
Nice. Drill still down to rest just
cuz I mean honestly the HP I would have got back in the hit
die it's all the other things mechanically I get back is like
a fighter that I burn through that one fight yeah yeah good
episode is fun. I love a good love good boss

(01:15:38):
fight. Me too.
Yeah, yes, yes, there's a lot offoreshadowing.
I tried to hit you before beforecoming to this point.
I wonder if you guys are starting to connect the dots a
little bit. We shall see, yes.
Smelly dubatively. Dubatively, yes.

(01:15:59):
He's foreshadowing A Cristo calling us dumb in so many
different ways. Right.
Yeah, I just got bullied as I was killing the guy since I'm
he's like you Doo Doo head Doo Doo phase.
All right, so that's where we'regoing to end this week's
session. Great session.
Great session, really fun. Does anybody have any

(01:16:22):
recommendations before we head out?
I got 1. Do it.
No, actually, no. Everyone's probably has it right
now. I don't have one.
OK, I was going to say the Oblivion.
Remake I played an hour but it's.
Fantastic. But that's a no brainer.
That's going to sell millions ofcopies, Yeah.
One more just that's a free suggestion.
Of course of recommendation, youknow what I mean?

(01:16:42):
Maybe. Maybe it sucks.
Maybe it's optimized graphic it.Makes you want to get a 5090 to
play it on ultra Max. This game like it, pushes the
graphics card hard. Oh yeah.
Yeah, it's highly. Deep so if you don't have one,
then don't get it. If you then don't get the game.
If you don't have a graphic, I. Turned it on.
Get the old game. I turned it on and my 2080 my

(01:17:06):
2080 super FTW, whatever you want to call it, how fancy is
like I'm getting real tired boss.
It just, it was, I heard some bones cracking there, you know?
I'm not going to. Lie to you.
I've never played Oblivion, never played the original.
Oh man, yeah, really should. Well, just play the update
maybe. This is This is a wreck for Alec
then, but Oblivion is one of thebest elders.

(01:17:28):
It is the best elder. Fun fact for me, never played an
Elder Scrolls game. Wow, just doubling down.
Yeah, doubling down. Probably 1 of the Bethesda's
best words. I agree.
Because we know it's not fall out anyways.
Yeah, first of all, leave 3 and leave Vegas alone.
They're separate. As good as 3 is, is how good
like Oblivion is. You know what I'm saying?

(01:17:49):
That's the comparison. I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna
recommend Gentlemen's Dispute. Gentlemen's dispute.
There we go, so fun free game right now.
Super silly a little 2 and 4/3. Yeah, you and four friends play
it. You'll have laugh out loud time.
Yeah, it's somewhat like human fall flat esque and at least in

(01:18:11):
the design, OK. It's ridiculous in everything
you can think of. Yeah, yeah, upgrade.
You want to throw your bat? Nukes at somebody?
Yeah, you can do it. Do you want to fly a an old
plane at somebody? And Yep, you can do it.
Maybe just jump into people to hurt them.
Yeah, I'll match. Yep, you can do it.
You want to throw people? You want to smack somebody

(01:18:34):
across the face so that they fall down, pick them up and
throw them into a train. Talk to Dan.
I did it to him. Do you have a map called the
Pancake House? Yes.
Coming out tell you everything you need it's a demo right now,
so it's free so definitely play it while it's free and then when
it comes out I don't know how much it's going to cost, but 599
I'm. Calling it now.
That's my guess, Something like that.

(01:18:55):
You know, I thought Jared was going to have a different video
game wreck because it's something I've seen him playing
recently. But I guess we'll talk about
that on the after show. Olivier and teaser.
Yeah, see if it's actually any good.
He's wrecking Cookie Clicker. It's.
Pretty great. I gotta say.
It's pretty. It's way better than you think
it is. All right, guys.

(01:19:16):
All right. We'll see you next time.
Everybody give your most condescending intellectual
goodbye. Goodbye, you imbecile.
Later. Oh, get off your tomfoolery.
Hey everyone, it's Tony. And a fun fact about May is that

(01:19:38):
it's my birthday. What's a better way for a
Dungeon Master to celebrate thanto have AD and D party with all
our patrons? That's right, the night was a
lot of fun and let's recap some of our best moments, starting
with the shadow smugglers. Their gifts and birthday cards

(01:20:00):
were absolute top tier, albeit somewhat mildly offensive, but
let's go ahead and get into someof those.
Starting first up is Benjamin Hayes with a beautiful card
saying Congrats on leveling up and inside it says you've gained
plus one wisdom, plus one charisma and.
Let's be honest, no dexterity all right, but hey, at least you

(01:20:20):
still roll better than you than your actual coordination.
Oh wonderful. And it came gifted with this
custom miniature of themselves. And Next up is Annie with a
beautiful card saying you survived another year.
Sure you didn't thrive. You kind of stumbled with bad
rolls, questionable decisions, and an inventory full of useless

(01:20:44):
junk. But hey, survival counts.
Congrats. Thanks Annie, and with your
wonderful gift of a massive bag of D twelves the most underused
die in D&D. But then we got a strong gift
from Julius Kendrick with a birthday card shaped like a Mace
saying you're like a legendary artifact.

(01:21:05):
Rare, powerful, and honestly a little outdated, slightly
cursed, and probably way too complicated for anyone to
actually use. Happy birthday you magnificent
mess. Oh, and it came with a giant
life-size cardboard cut out of their character.
Oh this is beautiful Julius. Thank you.
And our last shadow smuggler, Reese with a beautiful card

(01:21:27):
saying roll for birthday success.
Even on a natural one, you're still the best at one thing,
turning critical failures into your unforgettable stories.
So Congrats. I guess so.
And it came with this, A birthday sash saying Dungeon
Master of my own life. Wow.

(01:21:48):
Next up we have the Bloodshot Bandits who brought the
entertainment to the party. Without them I I don't think it
would have been as as good as itwas.
And 1st up we have Morgan Ulfield.
I got to say your rendition of 500 miles on the karaoke box was
amazing. I love the way you changed the
phrase. I would walk 500 miles to I
would roll 500 natural ones and it was beautiful.

(01:22:14):
And then Artemis, the balloon animals you made and all the
balloon dice, they were awesome. And the balloon beholder you
made was amazing until it poppedand then it, you know, flew
around the room for 20 minutes. But that's OK, it made a funny
sound. And Craig Dawnbringer, your fire
show was to die for. The way you handled that Shane
and Blade was underworldly. But please leave your dog

(01:22:36):
getting this at home. You pooped on the rug and knock
mock the rogue scavenger hunt you set up was very, very fun
and exciting. But please put back my AA
batteries. I need those to use my TV.
Thank you. Philip Buxton, the wreckage you
span on the DJ table was straight bumping.
I love the way you rolled with it.

(01:22:59):
DVD humor, shade grey fire. Your Revenger impersonation was
impeccable. But can you please return my
lampshade? They're not helmets.
Really appreciate it. Brandy.
Brandy Woodburner, I want to thank you for bringing your
lovely family wine. It was very delicious.
But next time could you use a glass and not the fishbowl?

(01:23:20):
Xander Thorpe, trust me to watchhis fish.
And he's going to be real mad when he finds out he drinks some
wine. And Sly, the murder mystery game
you ran was a huge hit, but the person who was murdered is still
in character and hasn't left my house.
Sly, if you could please tell him the game is over.
He's starting to smell a little bit and now we're going to move

(01:23:40):
on to the Sidgic College alumni where the games were just as
good as the snacks they brought.David Lachance, thank you for
bringing the chips and guac in the custom made bowls that also
doubled up as dice trains. Casey the gelatinous jello was
outstanding, but now I'm starting to realize that I don't
think the dice you put in there were edible, but Patrick

(01:24:06):
Wenestrem, the flurry of blows punch was an absolute knockdown.
Robert Criss the dwarf bread pudding was very delicious and
moist. St.
Chaos I absolutely love the giant D8 soft serve pretzels
with cockatrice cheese. Geo coming through with the
giant barrel veil. Yeah, I know it was a it was a

(01:24:28):
keg of bud heavy, but the barrelveil sounds way cool and heiress
and sendis the piping hot tamales were hotter than the 9
Hells themself. I'm going to be feeling for the
next week thanks. And now we got to talk about the
troublemakers of the party who Bray as heroes Bjorn charcoal
darts and Kezis. You owe me a new TV.

(01:24:49):
No the YouTube video static image of a dartboard doesn't
mean you can use it as there with glass.
John Carroll. Johnny Tarr.
How was the cake? I wouldn't know since the three
of you stole it and ate it. Good thing I had it back.
Jonathan Prytho. RIP cordon and taslin.
Listen, I said I know you can look and hold at my summon Steve

(01:25:09):
scroll, but I didn't think you were actually going to use it.
And take my giant crocodile mount for joyride.
Need them back and get to scare when I'm out there.
Heart is her storm and drown. Please, please, please, please,
please bring back my couch cushions.
My mom is going to be real upsetwhen she comes home and sees
them young. And that's all for this month.
Shout outs and thank you again for your love and support.

(01:25:32):
And if you want to know how to join the party, head on over to

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
