(00:00):
Hello everybody, welcome back toHold Back Humanitarians.
We're doing the little side quest today and join with me
today are the other 4 breads I'mabout to slap in that toaster,
pop back up and smear some of myfavorite spread on, starting
with the Christian. You know, I'd have to probably
say my favorite type of loaf of bread, it would be the Parmesan
(00:22):
and Rosemary cheese bread that you can kind of get fresh baked
out of the market. Really good.
That sounds fucking good one. Yeah, that sounds subway.
Oh, the subway. Dude, no Publix brand Rosemary.
Bread subway dude. Floridian Publix.
Brand that, that sounds fucking good, man.
And. Then you pass it off to everyone
next. I'm gonna go with.
(00:42):
It that's all bad. Let's go.
Yeah, I'm sorry, I got pop ups. Yeah, we're going to go with
Jared. I'm what's up guys E com
checking in. Let me say that again.
What's up guys E com. Checking in and my favorite
bread is white rotella. If you know if you have that
(01:04):
brand, it's fresh break white bread.
It's wonderful. It's about.
What I expect from Jared. Peanut butter sandwiches are my
life. Going over to Alec.
What you were like? Yeah, What's up guys?
Fun to be playing. Glad to be here.
You know, long time listener, first time caller.
My favorite type of bread is it's called Dutch Crunch.
(01:26):
I don't know if you guys are familiar with it.
It might be like a West Coast style.
It's pretty much, it's kind of like white bread.
But what they do is they take like a rice flour paste and
like, coat the top of it when they bake it.
So then it's like super crunchy, flaky top of it.
It's made for like Subs. Like you go to like a sub place
here in the Bay Area. Like a lot of places have like
(01:47):
Dutch crunch. That sounds pretty good.
It's really good, Yeah. You are opening up my world to
bread right now. I'm.
Like, yeah, what about you, Tony?
What is that? Hold on.
We're still on the Dutch Crunch.Hold on.
I'm telling you, dude, it's likeit's super fucking good, man.
You guys have not had it and youguys are in the Bay Area.
You go to any pretty much sub place in the Bay, they'll have
Dutch crunch as an option and it's highly recommended.
(02:10):
I'm going to, I'm going to like see originating in the
Netherlands and it's probably the Bay Area of California, you
know, all right. That looks good.
The real. Ones.
No. The real ones.
You mail me some, can you? You shoot me some?
I could, yeah. You want me to?
Yeah. Crackly top on there just looks
so nice. It's so good, Yeah.
I will say, sometimes it's so crunchy that when you bite into
(02:31):
it, it will cut up the roof of your mouth.
So you just got to you got to deal with it and just fight
through the pain. I love you.
It looks like an old sidewalk, you know.
Yep. Yep.
Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hello, everybody. My name is Tony, returning as
Riggs. My go to bread is sourdough.
Nice toast and sourdough for breakfast with a little runny
(02:54):
egg or with some pesto. Making the pesto sandwich I'm.
Surprised that one came so late.So a roll or a slice, though,
because that's they're, they're different.
I'm going to be honest, it depends on the thickness of
sourdough. Like how if it's like a thick
piece of sourdough slice, then I'm going to go with slices.
If it's not, if you're giving methat thin stuff, I'm going to go
with the roll. Pretty cut cut yourself.
(03:16):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Your diners get mad if I go on
the back and cut it myself. Depends how He's banned from
three different places on StatenIsland.
What about you, Daniel? Hello everybody, I am shocked
that nobody said the same bread.Very impressed by the way, and I
am absolutely the cinnamon Raisin bread of this podcast
(03:41):
coach that. Out.
Just put a little bit of butter on that too, dude.
Yeah, I'm an old person at heart.
That's a compliment to me. And I'll I.
Don't want to play? After my butterscotch candies he
wanted like a real sandwich bread.
I gave him like the sweet ass. Tony has got up out of his chair
and. I have to contact gap man.
(04:02):
I have to contact. Gallian, I eat really quality
bread. Like, how dare you?
Put raisins. It's like you eat sourdough and
you put gobble Ghoul on it, right?
You do two different things. But that's all the breads we
have today. And you know what we got to do?
We got to give you that rundown and today's rundown and you got
to be fast because it's probablythe last week it's going, if not
(04:23):
the last week and a half. We have a Kickstarter going that
is funding campaign two of our podcast.
If you haven't checked it out, we have the crazy stuff going on
day one. We funded 4 tiers.
It's wild. I don't know what is going on
right now. You guys are nuts, but please
stop because every time we reacha new tier we have to roll on a
table and do a punishment. So maybe I shouldn't have told
(04:45):
you guys this is happening because maybe I'm getting a
tattoo on my butt right now of Menace Pebble Walker's
signature. Well, that being said, thank you
for joining us Christian. We are going to Bah Bah Bah Bah
Bard. Go into the episode ONOTD i.e.
Don't die. HULLBECK.
Let's go walking through the streets and I'm feeling OK.
(05:09):
Drunk with special guests and I'm sure they'll be just fine.
Hold back, humanitarians. It's their time to shine.
To shine. That's right.
Yeah, welcome back to Holbeck, the tiny little town caught
between a mountain, a lake and aforest.
There are all kinds of crazy monsters and oddities.
(05:30):
Trouble can be found and every nook and cranny as the occult
always seems to find its way to this place.
Past few weeks however, things seem to move more pleasantly
along. No monsters, minimal trouble and
plenty of happy faces amongst the townsfolk.
It is if you are one of the townsfolk, because it's thanks
(05:50):
to the whole back humanitarians that most hardships are avoided.
In fact, three of these members now 4 because Alec is joining us
today. I.
Forgot About That has been warning off creatures left and
right for the past three weeks as part of their yearly trouble
trek. It's an initiative where each
month one group of reformers is assigned to take a long trip
(06:12):
around the outskirts of the mountains, the lake, and the
forest to fend off any obvious threats.
Close to the end of their journey, Rigs and ECOM sit
around a campfire with their longest lasting junior reformer
ever, Caleb, preparing breakfastand discussing some some of the
strange tasks that may have cometheir way with another friend
(06:34):
that we'll get to in a moment. Caleb, please describe your
character all. Right.
So Caleb's this tall, stocky, deep green skinned half org.
He's got a big old rough lookingbeard, but he looks like he
keeps it more or less like trimmed back 'cause there's
always back and he's always wearing little to no armor.
So you know this guy's stick with the category.
(06:55):
But yeah, he's usually a pretty jolly guy, but he's but he's, it
could be like serious sometimes and then just go right back to
being jolly. Like his attention span is Jack.
Jack. And as you're talking about
something that happened to you and, you know, kind of
reminiscing and complaining and sharing in the grief, why don't
(07:17):
you roll me AD 6, please? I got a one.
A1 OK, yeah. So you're talking about
something that happened to you. You trailed a group of witches
for a week with these guys. They were there and the battle
went in your favor. Nice.
However, just before one of the witches perished, she did curse
you. So please roll me another D6.
(07:39):
Oh boy. All right, let's do that again.
It's 3:00 we'll higher this timeokay, you have been slowed by
the switch, so for this encounter you have a -2 to
initiative roles as you feel a little more sluggish, okay than
normal. All right, all right.
This encounter, Yeah, This one shot.
You're not in an encounter rightnow.
(08:00):
All that just basically puts me out of normal, OK?
That's fine, although you something cursed you, you did
find something on your way out. Something shiny maybe.
Roll me one D8 roll. That looks like to be a 2.
A2 You got something big on yourway out.
You found a huge. Log.
(08:20):
It is A1 use log that can be thrown or used to hit something
for 2D8 damage plus the proper modifier if you throw it or hit
with it. This is a nice stick.
This is. Yeah.
This could be a really good one.I love this stuff.
Hey, Kayla, I got to say, that'sprobably the best stick you've
(08:41):
found since you've been out of here.
I mean, you've got it a bunch, but that's the most depressive
stick you've got. Oh, yeah.
It's really even. I love it.
Perfectly symmetrical. And as you continue talking
about your curse and all the other hardships you dealt with,
we're going to go over to Alex character.
Please describe your character Alec.
OK so my name is Basil Jasperth Higgins Foot the 5th and I am a
(09:05):
Bard. Not just any Bard, I am A and he
holds up both hands a magician. Yes, that is correct.
And he rolls his hand over and adove and is in one hand and he
goes I am the entertainment of this group and he rolls over his
other hand and just has a rose out of nowhere.
(09:26):
Basil is a Basil is a halfling. He has a really bright orange
hair and he like he loves to wear a almost Kelly green,
borderline leprechaun looking green suit that he he loves to
(09:47):
perform in. Yeah.
All right. Yeah, yeah.
Kelly green. Yes, yes, of course.
Me AD 6, Alec. OK, cool, let's do it.
We roll on A1. It's a four.
A4 You were chasing a fairy dragon away from a group of
hikers, but ended up tumbling into the Fay wild a couple
minutes. For you, running away from
(10:08):
monsters and traps was a week for your companions, who waited
patiently nearby, taking care ofsmaller problems while you
handled a lot bigger ones. Your hit point maximum decreases
by 5, and your friends let you know that something else has
changed about you. Please roll AD 6.
All right, here we go, A6. Your skin now glitters slightly
(10:29):
in the sunlight. Oh, OK.
Interesting. Interesting.
This is the skin of a killer, Bella.
I'm sorry, What did you say? And I kind of just like, look at
my arms and see it's like shining, I guess, like glitter.
But as you were tumbling throughthe Fay Wild, you did find
something pretty cool in the FayWild.
Please roll me AD 8. I really hope it's a stick
(10:54):
that's a three. You found Pipes of Haunting.
You can add that to your character sheet and attune to it
right away. Nice, because that's something
you found earlier. And I am.
I do know how to play the bagpipes so.
Is that right? The Pipes of Haunting, for those
who don't know, is a magical item that he can play and any
creature he chooses within 30 feet make a DC-15 Wisdom saving
(11:15):
throw or become frightened for one minute.
That sounds good to me. As he discusses some of the
things that happen to him in theFay Wild and play some tunes for
you rigs, don't you describe your character for those that
haven't met him. Yes, Riggs is a was once a
mercenary cursed and turned intoa half human, half monkey.
(11:36):
Mechanically, I'm a Hudozi. You see him, he's dressed up in
a leather armor and he's laying down on his side on the log at
the campsite and he's giving Basil just like Basil.
He's looking at Basil. He's just giving him like the
most like dirty look like he's like so over whatever he's
doing. And he's just like mumbling to
himself. He goes, I hate entertainers,
(11:58):
especially the showboaty ones. And he's just like rolling his
eyes as he looks over at E Com almost for confirmation.
And he is also a Bard. Yep.
Battle of the Bards. Battle of the Bards, Why don't
you roll me AD 6 as you described to your companions?
What happened to you? That's a hot.
(12:19):
Deuce. A deuce.
You spent half a week lost in the under dark as a doppelganger
walked around with your companions.
They finally realized it wasn't you when it tried to eat a
squirrel. After enduring minimal rations
and tireless nights, you were left feeling very weak.
Take one level of exhaustion, please.
What are we using 2024 rules? Or 2024 rules.
(12:40):
That's -2 to everything, brother.
You want to switch, you can switch.
No, that's fine. I'll tell.
I'll take it. There you go.
You. Have one level of exhaustion.
You guys didn't even know that it wasn't even me.
The jokes could have been that good.
You're telling me you guys didn't notice as I pick a flea
out of my hair? And as you complain to your
friends, please roll me AD 8 because in the under dark you
(13:02):
found something pretty cool. That's a one.
You found a potion of superior healing.
I'll take it. That's pretty cool.
How neat is that? And as you show off your potion
to the group, we see someone maybe less enthused in the
shadows. ECOM, please describe your
character. My character is a little bit of
a loner, a little awkward. His name is Ecom.
(13:26):
He is a wood elf monk, and he's the way of the long death.
And he is currently walking around this tree stump doing a
ritual. He's a little OCD at this point
because of how many people have died on his watch.
So he's kind of circling the stump, sitting down, tapping the
(13:47):
ground three times with his withhis spear and then kind of doing
that over and over again. And then all of a sudden he
looks over. Briggs, when did you get here?
I just I roll my eyes over to E calm.
I was in charge of watching these two for this last.
I don't know how long. As he says that, Basil looks at
Kayla. He goes, is this your card?
And he has a card out out of thehe pulls one out of the deck.
(14:09):
I. Feel like he's like been the 5th
card and he's just. Been saying no every time.
He says no again. Not my card.
Pulls out another one. Is this your card?
No. Damn it again.
OK, OK, let me just tell you. I can just tell you.
No, no, no, no. Magician never reveals his
secrets. It was a trick all along.
I never anticipated to pull yourcard.
(14:31):
And I turn around and I'd like, come on, bezel shape up.
And as you roll your eyes E calm, you reminisce about the
terrible thing that happened to you during this trouble trek.
Please roll me AD 6. Re roll on A12 or A4.
We don't have to. It's fine.
I remember it being puppies and rainbows and it was a great time
and I rolled A5 that. Wasn't too bad.
(14:52):
You got captured by a tribe of sentient animated corpses.
A wizard raised them from the earth, told them he would return
and never did. They tried to perform a ritual
to switch bodies with you, but it fails.
You defeat them and escape, but the ritual seems to have done
something to you. You have been slightly
zombified. Cool.
On a Nat one attack roll, your dominant arm falls off and you
(15:15):
must use the bonus action to pick it back up.
What seems fine? Nat wait attack.
So if I go to swing at them and roll A1 arm falls to the ground.
This is. The funniest person it possibly
could have gone to. One with the log death and I am
now getting screwed over by the undead.
How dare they? Can't believe it, but on your
(15:38):
way out, like scurrying through the zombie camp, defeating
zombies left and right, you did find something amazing.
Please Roman 88. Here we go.
Here we go. Hang on.
He's circling the stump, sits down.
It's it's the ground. Three times of the spear and
rose A5. 5:00 You got a potion of supreme healing.
I look over at Riggs and I'm like, man, I want something
(16:00):
cool. Wait, you say supreme?
Healing. Yeah, I gave him a supreme
healing and he's like. Yeah.
I just see that you have a potion.
I have a potion. I would say you have the better
vile, but it's a bit of a reach. And as you are all getting, as
you're all discussing the adventures you've had these past
(16:21):
30 days and very excited that it's about to come to an end,
Riggs, you feel a vibration in your pocket is your sending
stone alarms. The sending stone has a ringtone
that was in the old GEICO commercials where it goes ring
Ding Ding diggity do and I pick it up and it flips open.
And there's a message from Ron Swanson.
Oh, Ricks. Hey, I need you to look into
(16:42):
something. I know you're almost done with
your trouble track, but you are close to that and it cuts off.
I tap it. You feel more buzzing.
Sorry, forgot these things. Send 25 words at a time.
What wizard decided that? Am I right?
Can't they just make one's a little longer?
Cuts off. I stare at it.
Wait. Buzzes again.
(17:04):
My bad. Looks like you're close to
Moonlight Altar though. Someone named Wolfhard.
Since distress call our way, could you go check it out?
And it sounds like he's countingon his fingers all.
Right, guys, it looks like we got to go see a hard wolf at
Moonlight Towers, says It's nearby.
Juan Swanson wants us to go to investigate it.
(17:26):
Did you get my message? Just checking because I didn't
hear back. Let me know, OK because I'm
worried. I look at everybody, everybody
else. Did he say wolf hard, Hard,
Hard? Oh yes, Wolf Hard.
Yes. I used to have a friend, a
companion anyways, name Wolf Hard by the Dovers.
The team I was. Before I got here, so that's
(17:46):
convenient. Hey, just checking in, didn't
hear back from you. Everything OK?
Don't mean to be pushy, you guysdo a great job, but like cuts
off. I I really don't want to send
anything back. I won't get free sending.
So until after 9:00 PM, just just do it.
Just do it. All right, fine.
You know, if the election's going to come out of your
(18:07):
pocket, Caitlin. All right, so I sent it back
like, Yep, we'll go check it out.
Thanks. Yeah.
And you get one more message back.
It's like, great, thanks. It'll be great to finally
promote you when you get back inone piece.
Basil says. I think it's a great idea.
And as he does it, he pulls out a knife and he stabs himself in
the face and he turns around andhe just starts.
(18:27):
You just see his hands moving really, really fast and you guys
have no idea what's happening. Should I just say what I'm doing
right now or just say, OK, so I'm performing a ritual.
It's so I, by the way, am a typeof Bard called the College of
Flesh Weaving. So right now I am it says you
(18:49):
can perform a surgical ritual upto four creatures that you can
see within 60 feet of yourself to receive a chosen adaptation
for the next hour. And I'm giving myself cactus
skin, which is the target can cover itself in razor sharp
spikes at the end of each of it targets turn that is grappling
(19:12):
me and must make a constitution saving throw of my Bard spell
DC. On a fail it takes piercing
damage equal to my Bard inspiration die.
So I'm giving myself that one. If you would like I have
rhinohide, owl site, fish form, cat's paws, bulls bun, all is
other options that I can give you.
(19:33):
Yo, what's that cat's paw? Hold on a second.
I go over to the glittery, spikyYeah, I'm just.
Like stabbing myself and like just shoving spikes all over
into my body. So cat's paws.
The target has advantage on dexterity checks.
It also doesn't take damage fromfalling 20 feet or less because
(19:55):
it lands on its feet I guess. A fish form allows you to
breathe underwater and you gain the swimming speed equal to your
walking speed. Owl site is the targets.
The target has advantage on wisdom checks and initiative
roles. Rhinos hide.
The target has advantage on constitution checks and gains
(20:16):
temporary hit points equal to 1.Roll of your bardic inspiration.
And the bulls buns. This target has advantage on
strength checks and counts as one size larger when determining
it's carrying capacity and weight.
It can push, drag or lift. Ecom goes over there 'cause he
hears cat paws and he's worried about his own hands falling off.
(20:39):
He's like, whatever it is, I'm down.
Oh perfect, I pull out one of the butcher knives and just
stick your hands out real quick and I pull like 2 cat paws out
of my you want them on your feetor your hands hands sweet.
So I start working on E com. It only takes 10 minutes for the
four of us. So whatever else you guys want,
(20:59):
we can just say that gets done as well to speed things up.
I'll. Take the bull I.
Mean. Sounds great.
I'll throw things farther. Nice.
Yeah. So you now have advantage on
strength checks and then Tony, whatever you want.
Don't touch me. Don't touch me with that.
Are you sure? I'm positive.
Come here. We're all over here.
Look around. I'm in a tree.
I literally am bleeding from a spike in the middle of my cheek.
(21:22):
It's fine. I am.
I am in a tree looking at him asI'm like hanging out like a
technical monkey. Like no, as I'm talking to Riggs
I awkwardly blink way too much. Look, the glitterally spiky man
is going to help us out. Come on.
How are you? OK.
With this ECOM your arm is popping up is gross.
(21:44):
A magician never reveals to secrets and I get up and start
walking random direction, have no idea if I'm walking the right
way. Speaking of the right way, Ecom,
you actually know this Grove pretty well.
Is a place where many monks go to meditate.
There's a cave entrance near thealtar that has many rumors
surrounding it. From a place that hides great
magic items to a tomb that curses those who enter, you have
(22:08):
never gone. Not out of curiosity, but
because there's a magical barrier that stops people from
entering normally. And those guys suck.
I don't want to go there. Sucks.
I do know where it is. Are we sure about this?
Are we sure that this is where we want to go?
I mean, we could like go to the beach and.
We have a job to do, which is probably.
Good. Of course, we get the two new
(22:29):
guys and they want to just, you know, suck up to Mr. Swanson.
OK, fine. Eck money.
It's so bad, they're just tryingto get a job done.
OK, let's just lean on a log that is the whole time.
Question about Ecom's arm. Is it like made out of wood or
it just pops off magically? It's just a normal arm.
It just has zombie properties. Every sound every time.
Exactly. It's more of like an action
(22:49):
figure if you played it too, youknow, swing too hard.
Every time you put it back on, you see like the necrotic
energy, like pulling your pendants together, it hurts.
Cool. Oh.
It's still cool. It's still cool.
Yeah, but the four of you continue adventuring through the
woods, now with the location of mind.
Hazel, you're excited to be a part of this team.
(23:11):
You were on another squad that wasn't doing too well, but
you're one of the better ones sothey sent you into this squad so
you're getting pretty excited. I am a performer.
Caleb, you're excited to finallyget away from the junior or
former belt because you've been working very hard to become a
reformer like these guys, and one more mission and you should
be upgraded really good. He's got little ants in his
(23:33):
pants. You dance around like, yeah,
let's do this. Yeah, let's.
Do some things. There's a pep in your step.
Pep in your step. Boom boom, rhythm to your step.
Then you hear something in your head.
Hail it, hail it. Come help.
Then it goes away. Hello, did you guys hear it?
(23:57):
I heard it. Hear what voice?
Nope. Someone called my name.
Come help. Pretty much what they said.
It scratches his head like I'm helping out his ear.
I'm not crazy. Basil, did your ritual affect
(24:17):
our buddy over here or am I going to start hearing voices
too? I turn around and I'm just
bleeding even more from my face.I don't think so.
No, No, I don't. I think he's fine.
I'm worried. You know, I will say that is the
first time I did that surgery. You know, it's first time I've
done the bulls buns, but it justdoesn't say anything.
(24:40):
I slowly turn around and look atRiggs with like big eyes, like
oh shit, Oh no. He'll be fine, I think.
It's just so cling out his ear like.
Hello. You should check to see if those
knives were sterile. You come.
(25:02):
My knives? No, I serialize them with magic.
They're they're perfectly understood.
You need to you're gonna need tosee a cleric when we're back in
town. But you.
Continue on through the forest. As day gets closer to the
afternoon, a concerning but somewhat calm view meets you.
(25:24):
A dwarf sits panting by the entrance next to an old human
lady. You recognize this woman as
Shantay who used to raise B Hummt back in the day.
He has cast some sort of magicalbarrier around the entrance as
soggy, disgusting corpses can beseen slamming against it trying
(25:46):
to get at the dwarf. This is the same looking guys
that try to or did some kind of spell.
No different looking undead. These definitely look different
to you econ. The ones you fought were pretty
standard necromancer zombies, just raising the dead normally.
These look like disgusting soggydripping animated corpses.
(26:09):
Hey Shante, how we doing over here?
I see you got some bad impersonators.
Oh, it's good to see you. I came just in time.
I think our friend over here wasnot having a great time as wolf
hard leans against the stairs going up to the altar and is
panting very hard. Khalid, you see this dwarf is
(26:32):
missing his right like from his elbow down gone.
Is this the same wolf hard that I know?
It is first guy's stunned looks.Blanks a couple times.
Wolf hard. Oh man, Khalid, it's great to
see you. He's going to run over there.
Hey, you guys pick him up? Careful.
(26:53):
Careful, please. Puts back down what?
Happened. It's bad in there.
They're looking for treasure andsorts, you know, just, well, the
druid wanted to see what was down there in the depths.
I, I didn't care as much. I just wanted to keep everyone
safe. We're probably halfway down when
something attacked us. Samson.
(27:15):
I don't know what the hell it was, but everything got a hell
of a lot darker. I got separated and Andre told
me to run and to get help, so I did.
He's very serious face now. She's down there too.
Andre's down there. Andre's down there, yes.
All right. Don't care what it is.
Got to go, got to kill. OK.
(27:36):
He might do good in there. I'm not going to be much help,
obviously, as he lifts up his elbow.
Your best friend, Ecom, why don't you go give him a hand?
Basil, why don't you get him some cat paws?
I might need those. Back then I only had one set.
Oops, sorry. I'm.
Sorry but I'm not letting anyonepass to this barrier, but it's
(27:56):
too dangerous. I need to go in there.
And she steps a little closer tothe barrier.
It doesn't matter what it is, I need to go in there.
No, I I can't. I know them.
I need to go in there. You don't understand.
I have a friend who told me. Should I open the seal beneath
this altar? Great play could be set loose.
(28:17):
I didn't bother pry, for I let sleeping dogs lie.
She's in the heartland now. I I set for her but she won't be
here for weeks. We don't have weeks.
I need to get in there. I need to keep it closed.
Not happening. I will go in there through you
or with your help. Give me a persuasion check as
you press forward, or an intimidation check if you'd
prefer, I think. It's going to be the
intimidation. Can I give him a bardic?
(28:40):
Yeah, OK, I'm going to give him a bardic of Inspiration as well.
So you roll. How do you do that?
I kind of want to use it as a distraction and I just start
randomly pulling a scarf out of my sleeve and I don't break eye
contact with her. So he's talking to her but I'm
also staring at her, just pulling a really really long
scarf out of my sleep and it's like all the scarves tied
(29:02):
together multi colored. Intimidation by straight
weirdness. Exactly like who are these
freaks? I add AD 8 to that as well.
That plus one of these. So that's a 17 then?
That is going to do it with the bardic.
Woo. Good Bardic.
And she looks, she looks at the lot of you, and she realized
(29:23):
there's a tough bunch in front of her, tougher than she was
ready for. And she thinks maybe you could
take care of what's below. All right, I suppose that I I
can do that if you truly believeyou can beat what's down below.
Don't worry Shantay I Basil Jasper with Higgins Foot the 5th
has killed 30 of these all at once by myself.
(29:47):
So I will go in there with my friends and we will take care of
this no problem. I don't believe it.
OK, She doesn't believe you, butshe's like, she's a bunch of you
in. I'm a roll.
I can't roll a deception check. Disadvantage for sure.
All right, let's do it. I rolled.
I rolled a dirty 20 and a gnat 20.
(30:10):
Wow. Dang.
Wow, all the money you must havegone into The Cave had come back
out. Yes, yes, I I am a champion.
Where were you hiding? I'm glad you hid and got away
from these creatures so you could reconnect with the whole
that humanitarian. The Higginfoots are no joke.
We are a bloodline of magician warriors.
(30:36):
And she looks towards Riggs and ecom for like the go ahead as
she steps back, ready to releasethe barrier.
I'll. Be honest, I don't care if I get
out as long as they get out. Those are my old friends.
Those are my team. I need them out.
Right, Caleb, I believe in you, but let me.
(30:56):
Get all the way. First, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And. He goes up to you do that.
You're going to hang out at the altar and you see him climb some
old mossy stone steps and you kind of see some like statues up
there, but you can't quite make out what's up there because the
elevation. And then Shante is like, all
right, everybody get in your positions and I will release it.
(31:18):
Y'all can go where you want to go and we're all initiative.
Thank you, Shante. Don't worry, we'll handle this
for you. Yeah, I'll give her a wink.
Basil, since you've slain so many of these, why don't you
show us how it's done and get right up in the in the front?
Of course, and I do a little clap and I cartwheel pass rigs
in them and as a true performer and I just stand right in front
(31:41):
of the barrier God. So I take out my short sword and
I put him one hand on Ecom's good shoulder and I just let him
go. I just like let him know as I
give him bardic inspiration. Just like just know that you're
living proof that you don't need2 arms to be disappointing.
And I give him bardic inspiration.
Dan, what is the chance that we could flavor my throwing knives
(32:05):
into playing cards? Done.
Yeah, just done. Perfect.
I. Love that 100%.
I knew as a Gambit fan you'd appreciate that so.
You know, how long have I waitedfor this?
All right, I know how long all. Right.
Everybody please roll me initiative.
I got another Nat 20. That one baby, let's go.
Amazing. That's only A7, got a 17.
(32:29):
As the barrier drops, you actually don't even hear noises.
You expect to hear this like, but it's just shifting as these
zombies begin to pour out. I I immediately throw.
Actually I look back at Riggs and I say how about this for
versions of myself and I cast a mirror image so 3 illusionary
(32:55):
duplicates of myself stand next to me.
So it says 3 illusionary duplicates of yourself appear in
your space until the spell ends. The duplicates move with you and
mimic your actions shifting position so it's impossible to
track which image is real. Then it says each time a
character a creature is hit withyou hits you with an attacking
(33:18):
role, the spell duration role D6for each of your remaining
duplicates, if any of the D sixes roll A3 or higher, one of
the duplicates is hit instead ofyou.
I think I'm also allowed to attack with my bonus action.
Oh no, you know I don't know. That's only when I.
(33:39):
When you make the attack, yeah, correct.
Yeah. So Yep, that is going to be my
turn. Econ You watch your new friend
that you've known for three months or something like that.
Three weeks, 3 weeks, about a month, you know, for about a
month and you watch all of a sudden more of this annoying
little Bart appear. What are you doing?
Big sigh and then as I slowly try go from a walk to a jog and
(34:05):
then I get right up in the firstmonstrosity face and hit him
with a spear. 21 to hit Yep and a 23 to hit.
Both hit seven damage piercing and 10 damage piercing.
Already you see a ton of these limbs come off.
Make me a perception check as you do that.
(34:27):
That's 20. That's 20.
As you do that, you see a limb fall off and you see this black
goop, almost like tar. All these little tendrils suck
back into the body of the corpse.
You do. Another limb does the same as
it's just the arms fall off and then it sticks out all these
black tendrils as claws to work his arms after you do that.
(34:51):
Goodness. It doesn't make any noises, any
gestures, you just hack them offand it looks at you with empty
sockets. Do I feel so?
I don't even know if I heard it.Basically it.
Looks messed up, definitely. Looks messed up.
OK, OK. Hendra was hanging on by a
thread. I'm going to use a key point and
(35:12):
take a dodge action. Oh, OK.
Now that I'm up here, because I feel like there's a little too
many of them and I'm way up hereand they're they look like
they're about to pounce on me. Fair enough, you take the dodge
action as it all these zombie looking creatures start to take
their action that is AB E&F. Here we go.
(35:37):
Riggs and Khalid you 2 in the back are really surprised by
this Zombies, they look like zombies normally shouldn't be
able to move as fast as they're moving and they're like like
shifting around really quick like and they are going to make
attack rolls against ECOM here. Ecom Lookout.
Watch out, they deadlift. Disadvantage in all of these
(35:59):
1110160. Good. 11.
I do a backflip. Yeah, as they all try and attack
you. That's a performer.
I point my spear at a basil. You know it.
And the last thing you needed meto do because I forgot to do it?
When you hit the zombie thing, When you hit this dripping
corpse. Make me a Dexterity saving
throw, please. Oh man, that was heartbreaking.
(36:22):
It was like on a oh dude 15 thenrolled into a 2 so I got a nine.
Do you roll two of those becauseof the rabbit thing?
Cat paws the target has advantage on Dexterity checks
and it doesn't take damage for falling 20 feet or less tough.
All right. So that's going to stay
unfortunately you come. What it's Dexterity?
(36:44):
But it's a saving throw, not a check.
This thing, a bunch of sludge, bursts out from this corpse that
you hit, and because you failed, you're going to gain
disadvantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability
checks for one minute. You can repeat the saving throw
at the end of each of your turns, so it's not forever.
One minute. Kayla, if you're in your eyes,
(37:04):
you just see things that stand in between you and someone you
really like. Oh yeah, he's just.
Puffs. They will go into a rage, yeah.
Nice. And he's going to run up with
both axes in his hand, his two hand axes.
He's gonna go to chop the. E And what are you tapping into
(37:28):
when you go into your rage? What kind of animal power?
Let's see. I think he's gonna be tapping
into which one? I I I lost my list of.
Bear, do you have resistance? Tall like everything.
That one, yeah, it goes with thefur coat he's got laying off his
waistline and he's just gonna run right up there.
He's gonna swing on this guy. Yeah, the one between ecom and
(37:51):
Basil Let's. Do this.
Let's do some 8. Do you want a reckless attack?
Yeah, I'll reckless attack. All right, that's advantage.
There we go. That's a 16.
There you go. These things aren't hard to hit.
Yeah, I think he's got 2 weapon fighting so he can use the other
axe in his other hand. Oh, you don't have dual attacks
yet, do you? No.
So that how much damage you do on that first hit total of. 7:00
(38:14):
on that swing. Plus your rage, right?
You lop off its head as you see these tendrils like poking out
of its neck. OK 2 weapon fighting.
I don't get my bonus right. No, but you still get advantage.
That's not going to happen. Let's do that again.
No, that's going to. Hit.
Oh yeah. OK, cool.
I already added your proficiencyin my head.
That would be with the slashing then, right?
(38:35):
So it's only going to be a 1D6 and that will be. 4 plus your
rage. Six.
Then look. At that, this thing's already
looking pretty messed up, and you're doing a lot of good work.
Oh yeah, on this first zombie. As Zombie C comes up Econ you
can take an opportunity attack if you like.
Absolutely. A disadvantage?
Oh. Dang it, I bet I still okay 13.
(38:58):
What's the other one? 24.
So 13, okay, We just gotta make sure there's a chance to roll in
that one, okay? You.
Just have a trait, that's all. Yeah, it does 12 piercing
damage. 13 yeah, 13 does hit forthat 12 and it takes it.
This dripping corpse is going totry and attack Basil.
It's going to be a 21. That's gonna hit.
(39:19):
You wanna roll one of your D sixes?
Yes. So I think the way it works is I
roll all three and then if one of them is above, then it burns
that right? I don't think I.
So you keep it. OK, so all of them are three or
higher. So yeah.
So it's going to hit #3 no, it'sgoing to hit the third one
deleted. Not Frazzle.
(39:40):
That's Frazzle gets deleted. He was my favorite.
Riggs, you watched one of these little bars get puffed away in a
claw attack. So what I'm going to do as I see
these things like shadows are bursting out of its limbs, I'm
going to go over and I'm going to help ECOM.
I'm gonna move 20 feet next to zombie E&F and I'm gonna, what
(40:01):
I'm gonna do with my bonus action, I'm gonna stab a zombie
E that's in front of Caleb with my dagger cuz I have two weapon
fighting that's only gonna be a 12 that hits, that's gonna be 3
points of damage with a dagger. And then as my main action, I'm
gonna use True Strike on zombie F that's in front of me and to
the right of E cob. Make me a dexterity saving throw
(40:23):
before you do that. Forgot to do this with Caleb.
So you do that that as well, Caleb.
That's a 21. Nice. 19 Because that -2. 14 You
all pass so you do not have disadvantage on attack rolls,
saving throwers and checks. E com rolls his eyes.
As you duck just in time. As all this goop spikes out at
(40:44):
you guys. Then I'm going to use true
strike against the zombie F that's to the right of E com.
What that does is that replaces my main attack with my short
sword. It turns it, it's a radiant
damage, and I can use like spellcast to modify the hit it
instead of my Dexterity if it normally would take that.
That's going to be a 23 to hit, and that's going to be two D6
(41:06):
radiate that viral 2 ones. It's going to be 5 points of
radiant damage total. Roll 2 ones.
Nice. Do I notice anything strange
about the zombie that's a bleeding black goop as the
radiant damage slashes through him?
Yeah, you notice that as the radiant damage slashes through
it, the tendrils don't pull backhas quickly.
(41:28):
Also he's vexed is my weapon mastery which gives me advantage
on my next attack all. Right, Basil, you might want to
take care of some of these zombies after D goes though,
because he's going first one's going over to ECOM here.
It's the worst. That's disadvantage though, you
haven't been hit by 1 yet. Basil's supposed to be up here.
(41:48):
I'm on my way. Wow 21 with this advantage. 21
to hit, yeah. OK, rolled an 18 and a 15
defense. Are coming defense of
inspiration? Using it DA All right, I'm
rolling the DA to use the Bardicinspiration I get out of. 7.
Not hit. You are not hit.
You feel inspired and all of a sudden, like just in the nick of
(42:10):
time, Harry it away. Use the move, I told him.
I unrolled my eyes at Riggs. Just the Riggs though, I wink.
At him, yeah. I saw that.
Is that a me? I need to roll something wait.
What? What?
What are we doing? Why are you rolling?
What are you doing as we go to the top of the round?
(42:31):
Ha ha I look at the zombie thingin front of me.
I say I think you have somethingbehind your ear and I go to
reach behind and I pull out a coin and as I pull a coin from
behind his ear, I clap my hands and cast Thunderclap.
(42:51):
So he has to make a Constitutionsaving throw of a DC-15. 15 on
the dot. OK, so it doesn't work.
So I can't I can cast a can tripas an action and then a spell as
bonus action. Right, You sure can.
OK, well, that didn't work. So I'm going to have to go with
this and I'm going to cast a third level spiritual weapon.
(43:16):
Aw, sick. And I'm going to just have it be
I'm going to have it appear behind the corpse and it's does
it get to take an attack on thisturn or next turn?
OK, cool, nice. So it's going to be a third
level, which then means it takesdoes steals more damage.
That is a 21 to hit. Yep, that hits.
(43:36):
And that's going to be 14 damage.
You see that as a zombie gets literally crushed apart, all the
goose spreads across the ground, some even like on your shoe, and
then you see that it very quickly seeps into the ground.
Disgusting. I'm done over here, boys.
Are you guys almost done? I just yelled at and that's
going to be the end of my turn. Best being kids and I look at E
(44:00):
com. E com You roll your eyes, maybe
again as you're surrounded by zombies.
E com still in the In the Fray rolls 2 spear attacks.
First, don't forget their disadvantage.
Whatever's in front of him. That first one hits.
My second attack is an 18 for myfirst one and a 22.
Also hits, what are you doing rolling good today?
(44:22):
How dare you? And then I hit 413 piercing
damage for the first one, 9 piercing damage for the second
one. Is it still up?
You see that this thing goes down?
Yeah. As you slash this creature
apart, a bunch of the goop goes on the ground and then gets
sucked up by the zombie to the South.
(44:44):
And you feel like the zombie to the South looks a little
healthier now. Question Mr. DM, is that
considered him dying? Nope, wasn't ready for it.
Busted my balls there. So ECOM has hour the reaping and
and he gets life everything OK? OK so if that's not, that means
(45:05):
he didn't die, and that means technically he's still that
person, which means I could still use furia blows.
You can use Furia blows on whoever you want.
Yeah, all right, I'm Furia blows.
As long as you attacked first, you can always use furia blows.
You might get rule shocked. Disadvantage, of course.
This sucks. This sucks.
(45:26):
Which one you attack with your furia blows?
You know, I'm trying to figure that out right now.
Maybe the one that gained health, maybe a because it's
looking really messed up. All right, you know what?
I'm gonna I'm gonna roll the dice.
I'm gonna go with the the big the big Batty.
All right, so I'm gonna furia blows that one and I get an 11
hits, not drunk, but it's at disadvantage.
So 22 for the second one. You hit both times, yes, with an
(45:51):
11 on the first one and a 14 on the next one.
So that's six damage, but hang on.
And then 11 damage. But I have that item.
Your unarmed strikes are considered magical for the
purposes of overcoming immunity and resistances.
And I get plus one damage to theattacks.
Yes, and damage. So 12 and 7.
(46:14):
And you see, as you crush this thing into the ground, you hit
it with so much force that all that black liquid that like tar,
like substance immediately like it's thrusted into the earth and
it disappears. Don't you ever hit me with some
goop again. And as I'm punching the ground
as a like on my on my knees, just pounding it into the IT
(46:35):
back into the earth, that'll be E comes turn.
Nice, great turn 1 less to deal with as they are going to attack
you no longer with disadvantage so they're going to like that
first 123 to hit. Hitting me.
Yes. Yes.
Second one zombie B13 to miss, so you get hit for eight points
(46:56):
of slashing damage and one pointof necrotic damage.
Wait, did I kill the? Did I finally kill that?
Nope. Again, I pounded it into the
ground. No, it wasn't killed.
Sorry, Pounded. It into the ground and then I
sat there and waited for like for my unholy blessing and then
never came. And then I just get cracked in
the back of my head. Yeah, for 9 days.
(47:17):
I was thinking you're so shocked.
That nothing happened E com they're already dead.
As I'm laying on the ground, I roll my eyes again.
Caitlin 3 more left. What do you want to do with
those last three? I think Caitlin's going to look
over and he's going to drop one of his axes back on his side.
He's going to run Trip to D Mr. Goo, D Mr. Drip, and he's going
(47:38):
to attack him with the first. He's an unarmed strike him yeah,
and he's got the I think he's probably got the same thing that
Ecom's got there. So he gets a + 1 to his attack
and damage. And it's also considered
magical. So he's gonna like Tekken, like
lean back and swing that fish straight forward right into the
face. So that deck it.
(47:59):
Would you like to do it recklessly?
Why not? It hits that.
'D be 12 and damage. Oh, it's a yeah.
He doesn't have a shield, so that's actually something higher
than because he's got enhanced unarmed attacks.
Yes. So that would be AD 8 for the
(48:20):
attack +4. All right, roll another D8 and
we'll add 4 to that. So it's 4.
So it's. 88 damage plus your rage.
Yep, and the rage is another twoI think it was.
Yep. So it's 10 damage right to the
face, and since he gets 2 attacks per action, he wants to
swing the axe up the hand axe. Well, you do have two attacks
per action. Something to note.
(48:40):
Glad you said that. You can swing twice and then
still use your bonus action to swing again with your off hand,
making three attacks per turn. There you go, but.
Before you do that, you're goingto make a Dexterity saving
throw. That's not fun.
I think I'm fine. You're fine as a bunch of these
black spiky tendrils lash out atyou, but that 21 is definitely
(49:03):
going. To hit that is going to be 7
more damage and then I guess he'll do the bonus action and
he's going to use that hand to swing back again and hit him
again. Trying to finish it off, you
know? Yeah, 15 plus the D8, which will
be oh so 789-1011. Boom, you see this corpse go
down. Just.
Yeah. And it stays down as you see
more of that black liquid suckedinto the ground gone rigs.
(49:27):
You see that black liquid get sucked in the ground as Khalid
does that final blow. I jump forward to the zombie
that's caught blocking the the entrance.
Zombie A, I'm gonna use my true strike again.
That's gonna be 14, and that's gonna be for seven points of
radiant damage. Gone as you see more of the
(49:48):
black liquid seep away. Nice, and I use my bonus action
to use my dagger to attack Zombie B.
That's a 15 with a whopping 2 points of piercing.
Whoo, that's my turn. Make me a Dexterity saving
throw, please. Sure, Ice 22.
Black goop as you are fine. Oh actually technically E com
(50:09):
and Caleb have to make it 2. I haven't been doing that.
Oh yeah, yeah, that I'm. Doing is you're within 5 feet of
it. Whoa, is that what it is?
I thought we killed it so it didn't have a chance to goop.
So it was Dex, you said? Yeah, Dex saving through.
I think I got it. Oh yeah, you safe. 23.
Everyone's safe. Matrix dodged it off, yeah.
Don't even have to worry about it.
(50:29):
Do I have to roll disadvantage on saving through no?
OK, because because you passed last time.
Yeah. Because I totally remembered to
make you roll that at the end ofyour turns.
Totally passed, I remember that.Yeah, anyways, Basil, why don't
you finish off this dripping corpse over here?
(50:51):
Yeah, don't worry, Riggs, I'll do what you couldn't.
And I look back at Shante and I say I'm going to kill this guy.
I'm going to roll forward and I'm just going to, instead of
like I'm going to extend my arm and I'm going to throw a playing
card at the dead corpse that is a 24 to hit.
(51:15):
Yep. So that's six damage.
And then I'm going to be like, and then as I try to cough,
you're going to see my spiritualweapon make its way over to the
corpse. So, you know, and I just read
this, my spiritual weapon is actually the shape of a needle
and thread. And instead of radiant damage,
(51:37):
it is piercing damage. It's still going to do raining
damage, but OK, I see what you mean.
Yep. So that is going to be Oh my
God, that is a can I give myselfbardic?
And no, I don't think that's howthat works.
That's a tendon. I had to.
Give it to you earlier. But I can give myself bardic.
(51:58):
I can. OK, that's good.
So maybe not. I didn't think so.
I don't think so. Yeah.
That's a. That's a tend to hit.
Yeah, it's going to miss. Sorry.
Fuck, he kind of puts his head down.
Like he didn't just yell at Riggs and call him out.
Yeah, that's going to be the rest of his turn.
Oh. OK.
(52:20):
Got to roll. You're just lucky these things
don't eat clowns. That's good.
All right. Next E com.
I get up off off the ground after getting clocked and just,
you know, see only one left and spirit a 19.
Am I still poisoned? Whatever, No, we scooped.
All right, cool. I'm guessing it's pretty dead so
(52:41):
I'll just hit for 11 damage realquick.
Or should I roll both? Still up?
OK. Going for the next one, love to
hit. Yep, 7 damage piercing.
Still up you see that the goop goes down to the ground, and
then it reanimates itself one more time.
This all right Econ sick of thisthing and he's gonna use a key
(53:02):
point and Furia blows 12 to hit technically a damage.
And it's back down the ground, dead, gone.
You see all the group disappear is.
It dead to where I get hit. Points.
Nope. Why will you not?
Help me. I had a feeling he was going to
(53:22):
hate this episode. Did.
I lose my abilities while I lostmy arms.
What happened? He's having a like an
existential mental breakdown. You know what I mean?
Yeah. Midspell Crisis.
Shante steps forward. Wow, maybe you can do it after
all. I'm impressed.
I'll tell you what I'm impressedby.
(53:43):
Econ managed to hold it together.
Why won't you give me? Physically.
Are they all dead? Yeah, we got them.
All right. Cool.
I'm gonna hang out up here of. Course.
Of course you wouldn't. He's gonna chill up by the
altar. Oh, God, there's still two more
of you. Yeah, great job chops and you
hear? Yeah.
Great job chops. I don't know if they talk, but
(54:04):
as. They echo and echo and then
eventually go away after a minute passes.
No. Okay, to be on one of that one.
Please can I investigate the goop that's on the ground?
The goops gone. Ecom is now stabbing the ground
looking for the goop, thinking it's still there.
Try. To dig it up.
Where are you? You are not dead or else I would
have kept. Wishes would've been granted.
(54:28):
Did the goop disappear in the sense that like it dissolved or
it fled? You can make me either an animal
handling check or a nature check.
Or you come look at this hole. I want to, I want to like copy
him as well. And yeah, yeah, yeah, do that as
well. Yeah, cool, cool, cool, cool,
cool 16. I got a Nat 20 so I just know
more nice than Riggs. Yeah, Riggs, you think you might
(54:54):
have a handle on it, but then, Basil, you know that they're
creatures. They're creatures, Fingers of
dirt. That can separate themselves and
work independently. Almost not like kind of like a
hive mind, but not quite like that.
Fungal network. Yes, they kind of work like a
hive mind, but not really. But they are dead I guess.
(55:16):
They're not. They didn't go like go somewhere
I guess. You don't.
You don't think they're dead? They're not dead.
I've had, they're dead. I wouldn't know about it.
Got it. Ecom is now doing his his his
OCD thing where he's circling a stump, he's sitting down,
(55:38):
tapping the spear 3 times. He's like, OK, it's gonna happen
this time. I'm gonna get him back, don't
worry. It's.
OK, we got a mobile stump, the one on my back.
Just give it to you every now and then you need it.
There you go, There you go. I'm using that big old log that
you have. You know that tapping is a sign
of OCD. Watch your spiritual weapon fade
away, Basil. No.
Caleb asked what part of how farhe got in there so we can maybe
(56:01):
get an idea of what we're walking into.
Yeah, you can go back. You can go up and talk to him.
He will, he will walk up there and give him a chance.
Yeah, bring your character up there.
Yeah. As you climb the Moss covered
stone steps, two of them figurescome into view, made of the same
stone. OK, covered in slightly less
Moss. You see that there is a male and
a female elf reaching out towards each other, and you can
(56:24):
tell something used to rest in their hands, but now it just
looks like lovers apart. There's a cracked altar between
them and some ancient elven writing carved into the base,
and you see Wolfhard is leaning like against the female statue,
chilling, just tending to his wound.
Yeah, he'll probably. He'll welcome.
How you doing, friends? Doing OK, Not great.
(56:46):
No. You going to make it?
It's bad. I'll be fine.
I'm sorry. I didn't want to run.
But you know, Andre, she gave methat look and I just, I'm sorry.
He'll kneel down the like, eye to eye of the hands of both
shoulders, but like. It's all right, I get it.
Don't worry, I'm going in for them.
(57:07):
All of them. Great, great.
Good, good. They'll be alive, right?
They gotta be. She's too stubborn.
Yeah, she dealt with me the whole time and.
He'll ask about the like, hey, how far did you get in there?
Like just to get a good idea. Oh, just about halfway down we
went down something that was, itwas floating down.
(57:28):
And then everything went a bit dark.
That's when I left. I climbed up myself.
It was crazy. How'd you lose it?
I didn't even see. There was so much adrenaline
that I got out and then I lookeddown and it was gone.
Pat him on his shoulder. Well, because you got to learn
to pick locks with one hand now.Hey.
You rest, we'll get him. And he's just breathing heavily
(57:52):
and doing what he can. You, you know, he should
probably go back to town, but you can tell he's staying here
because he wants to wait for everybody.
Yeah, he won't push it, you know.
Yeah. What are the rest of you doing
up here? He comes still down there.
He doesn't like this place, so he's just sitting down on the
log, just minding his business, eating a sandwich.
(58:14):
So you got it done? I think I was just a little
hangry. Hey, give them time.
Nah, I get. I get like that too.
Hey, would you get that sandwich?
I'm looking over the steps. I would like to walk up to the
altar and just kind of inspect it.
I want to look around, see if I see any rooms, any writings,
anything like that. Yeah, yeah, you see that Elvin
(58:35):
writing? Well, good thing I speak Elvin.
So. Oh, you do?
No, I don't. I'm just going.
It was Goblin. I speak elvish.
I think this is Goblin. Yeah.
What's it say? No, no.
The spacing's wrong. Dialect's wrong.
(58:55):
Hold on, what's it say? It says he who shall stay here
knows death and magic. Right.
OK. Yeah, good job.
Because of thumbs up. Big I roll.
It's a 21 though. What a deception check?
(59:16):
Yep. Fails.
He doesn't believe you, no. Damn I.
Didn't even have to roll with advantage.
Wow, so I read the stone. Yeah, as you read the stone, you
can tell that this is ancient, like very, very old Alvin.
You can also give me a history check. 7.
(59:40):
I just want to point out, none of the people that are up there
are ELF, right? Yeah, and the only elf is down
downstairs eating a sandwich. The one person would get
advantage on this so you can kind of make make it out, but
you're not sure if it's correct, but you think it's pretty much
what needs to be said. And you read down below to
(01:00:02):
lovers go bound by love left their lives above.
It's a love letter. I think Kayla looks a little
more serious by that. All right then.
I gotta able to get mine back. Then you lost your partner in
the love dungeon Satellite and the love cave.
That's not better. You like write it down to save
(01:00:24):
for later. I'll pull up Parchman.
Scrub. Yeah, you do a scrub just in
case. Put it right in the ELF space.
Hey, read this. Oh you actually bring it to E
com? Absolutely.
OK. What's that?
Read please yeah you could make this with advantage if you like
E com there's a history check asyou read this let's.
Just take a look here. Doesn't want a sandwich.
(01:00:46):
Later. OK, OK, history.
Yeah. What's with me rolling the same
number 29? You read it about the same as
Riggs. Did you know that there's a word
that you have off here and there?
You think the you feel like maybe the last two phrases you
don't quite have right, and maybe they're some old elvish
(01:01:10):
that's dumping you. I start trying to read it, but
my sandwich kind of gets on the letter I.
Kind of wipe it off. And I can't read the word
anymore. Aw man, this one's a tough one.
Yeah, it looks like a couple of real grog guards wrote this.
One, yeah, lives above. I I think that's, yeah, I think
that's what that says. I hand the litter back.
(01:01:30):
All right, puts in this. Pouch on this front of the
inside tucks inside. Well, the only way to go is
down. Is look at the hole.
Sometimes you just got to go in the hole.
Sometimes. Sometimes the hole's stinky.
And you know what, It's a great idea that you guys go down
there. I can watch this with Shante.
We get look, I got this perfectly good log.
I got the sandwich. Smacks the sandwich out of your.
(01:01:51):
Hand. I put one arm over you count.
I'm like, if you want to stay here, I'll be fine with it.
It's not. It's just I started this meal,
you know? Chante comes next to you and
goes don't worry, I'll stay withyou.
Yeah, see, she'll stay with. You might not be as young as I
used to be, but I can figure just the same.
No, I'm done. I'm going back.
I'm going in. Get a wink at her like thanks.
(01:02:12):
Hey. She wings back.
I'm out, I'm first one. I'm running in the already I'm
in. First one in.
I left my sandwich. Yeah, you see the sandwich hang
in the air and then drop. I regret at the moment I passed
the the threshold. You went to The Cave.
No lights abound. Pressing forward, you see a lot
of like bits of sparkle and glints.
(01:02:34):
Some of you have dark vision, some of you maybe don't.
You light a torch. Yes, I light a torch.
Dark vision, baby. One torch would be good enough
for anybody that doesn't have dark vision.
As you light it and press forward the first thing you see
is a stone slab directly ahead. It looks very old but it also
looks like someone probably rigs.
(01:02:55):
You can tell someone used like mold earth or something to magic
this up from the ground and it is also written in elvish and
you just see turn back. Look, it says enter in goblin.
I shake my head. An ominous sign of warning.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I look at it up and down, see
that it's just like a stone, andcontinue down the path you.
(01:03:15):
Continue down the path and it begins to open up into a bigger
piece of cave and to your left you see another bigger slab.
I look at the slab. You see what looks like the word
olo run olo A0L 0RU N will consume everything.
You can make me a history check to see if you know what that
(01:03:38):
means. 15 You recognize that part of the word means like one,
like something is of one, or oneof something like that.
And you notice that olo looks similar to an elvish word that
means like darkness. And you kind of decipher that
this might mean like the dark one or one of bile.
(01:04:01):
One of bile. I share that information back
with the group. It's like, I think we're dealing
with something a little bit old,old school here, but if it's
anything like we just saw outside, it's probably like a
type of ooze, shadow ooze on ooze that is oozy.
Caleb, as you hear these words, they slowly fade out and fade
(01:04:22):
out. You're here.
You're here. Below, below.
Caleb need you in your head. Does he recognize the voice now?
Like is it like? Clicking Roll me AD 20.
I'm not going to tell you what type of check it is.
OK, yeah, I got 2. It's too echoey in here, I
think. Yeah, it's been echoey.
Maybe you're hearing things. He's.
(01:04:42):
Cleaning out his ear again. Well, I'm coming.
It does not sound like Andre, you know that much.
And Caleb give me a perception check as well. 12 As you see
Samson's body in the back behindsome ice rubble, it looks like
by this rocky Obsidian platform with a rune that is glowing
softly and another slab on the right.
(01:05:04):
The hatchet he's been holding his hand kind of falls to his
side. It's in his hand but just kind
of falls to his side. Oh no, little guy, he's going to
walk that way, Samsung told you.Your curiosity was going to get
you. But can I roll like perception
to see if there's anything off about it before I get too close?
With that 12, I mean, you noticethere's nothing else near his
(01:05:25):
body or nothing, all right? Looks like he hit himself and
you see him limp on the ground. He'll walk up, he's going to
kind of like try to move him a little bit, see if he's wig,
check to see if he's got a pulse.
Yeah, you pick him up and you put your fingers on his wrist.
Oh God damn, what? Why?
(01:05:48):
Am I good? Am I good?
Am I fine? Yeah, yeah, you're good AM.
I good. I'm alive.
I'm alive. Yeah, am I?
You're alive. No, I'm up.
I'm up. Here I hid behind the rubber
soil. You wouldn't be found.
Oh, that was close on my head. Is my legs still there?
Nope, it's gone. And just like your other buddy,
(01:06:09):
you see, but instead his knee down is gone and has been
patched up. Oh man, you stopped it.
Good to see you, Samson. Good to see you.
How do you think it's too late? He should get back down there
and you see him trying to get upand move and he falls you.
Can't. He's going to pick him back up
you. Can't.
You can't go. I have to.
I have to save him. He'll push him down to sit.
(01:06:31):
I'm going to go and I'll get them out.
Yeah, Samson's a little more emotional than the rest, and he
starts crying softly and just nods at you.
Where's your bird? He just shakes his head.
Friend. I'm sorry.
He just goes in and just hugs you for like a beat.
They'll. Fold him in there and pat him in
the back. He's crying and he pushes you
(01:06:51):
away. Please, you have to.
Only you could save on me. It's got to be you.
Who else but me? You're the strongest.
I didn't want you to go to beginwith.
We all have a Rhodes. This is mine.
Of course, of course with these your friends.
Yeah, these are them. Hey guys, this is Samson.
We'll meet in happier times, hopefully after this.
We'll share a drink and he'll pick him up and he'll walk him
(01:07:15):
back over somewhere, like maybe he can give him a stick or
something. You can walk him all the way
out, yeah. They'll walk them all the way
out there and stick them up there on the side and to Yeah.
So Shante, keep an eye on it forme please.
Oh yes, of course. Turn around and head back down.
As Samson's let outside, the three of you look around a
little more and you see that there is a stone platform with a
(01:07:40):
focused prismatic like crystal in the center.
And you also see at the northernend of the room where it's a
dead end, this platform floatingin an abyssal space.
You just see darkness down below, no lights.
And you see this crystalline almost ice barrier around all of
(01:08:00):
this that seems to have been blown away from the South to the
north to most of the rubble is just gathered in the northern
side of the room past the platform.
There's also a slab next to it if you'd like to read that.
You come, we'll go over there. Take a look at that.
Another pretty simple one. It just says he who breaks the
(01:08:21):
seal has forsaken us all. Gay not telling the guys about
that one. Let's just act like that didn't
happen. It says everything's puppies and
rainbows. Briggs, you don't believe that I
for one second. I I second that.
That is definitely what it says.As I pass Riggs, I'm like, it's
really bad as a whisper to him as I.
(01:08:43):
Go to the. Group.
Yeah, well, I mean, it can't be that bad.
Oh, I told you guys it's fine. I have like this dumb puckered
monkey face. Like look at how bad.
I believe none of you. We all know Riggs doesn't even
know how to read. I hate him, I hate him.
I hate him. I like everybody, but I hate
him. God I love Alec for this
(01:09:03):
character so much. As much as I'd love to go down
there and so lead the team to victory, if, say, we needed a
hero to go hang out with Samson to make sure he's OK, I'd be
more than happy to do that. No, you're coming.
You're definitely coming. Are you sure?
Big smile. I got 5 gold if you push him.
He thinks about that for a second.
(01:09:24):
He does K. It's just.
Man, you know, I thought I was done dealing with all these dark
things. Caitlin, I'll give you a hand.
I take Ecom's arm off and I handit.
How dare you? First, it's a cat hand, OK.
Second, I need that back. Meow no.
Time to joke. Samson would say there's always
(01:09:44):
time for a joke. All right, how do we get down
there? I look down the hole.
Caleb, you know that with a mix of tools and magic, with a rogue
and a druid, they were probably able to focus some sort of
ritual through that prismatic gem that probably blast all of
that ice wall into oblivion and dust.
Kind of leans back, looks sad, does this.
(01:10:06):
Yeah, they blew it up you. Definitely don't know the inner
workings of the magic, but you definitely know they blew it up.
I know them. They see something shiny and
they're like, oh, and then they blow it up.
Luckily I wasn't here because usually.
I'm game blown up too. Only we had someone that did
rituals that could maybe help uswith this situation.
Yes, rituals. I look at my I stroke my face
(01:10:28):
with my cat paw. I also stroke Ecom's face with
my foot with. Your foot.
Yeah. And you see this platform with a
dimly glowing rune. My guess is we step on it and we
go down. Yeah, scratching his chin with
Zach. We're all going together.
(01:10:50):
You're not getting out of this cave without us.
OK. We, I think, all three-step onto
it. Yeah, sorry.
It looks like you can take a hit.
Debatable. I'm very pretty.
As it goes and you see that it illuminates below you, brighter
now blows the rune and you startgoing down pretty slowly.
(01:11:11):
Everybody make me a perception check as you're going down this
tunnel 3. 12/10. It's an 11 for Kalid, 12 for
Riggs. What did I have to Ross say?
Perception failed already. 12. Everybody passive a basil, so
you're going to make this Dexterity saving throw with
disadvantage. Everybody make me a Dexterity
(01:11:32):
saving throw. Rigs, you look to the left.
Ecom You look up Halo to the right as you see all these
tendrils slowly come out of the wall, and then they all latch
out at you. Non natural 20.
Whoa, 15. Luck Point Dirty 20.
You can only use luck points before you know the answer, but
(01:11:53):
I'm a kind DM so I'll let you use it.
Just did that to roll Lawyer 20 for a second scare a bit.
Appropriate. Twenty 223rd 20.
All right, Dan, you get your jabs in now.
You get your jabs in now. Basil, what was your second
role? Oh, I had to do them with
disadvantage of course of. Course.
(01:12:15):
Yeah, it was a 15. Pass.
Y'all pass. So you're going to take half of
this. Let's go Y'all take half of 15
points of necrotic damage. Ow, I'm going to use my hoodozi
dodge and when I take damage I can use a reaction to reduce the
damage by one. D 6 + 3.
Nice. Nice 7 yes, no damage question
(01:12:38):
for Tony. Yo, what is Riggs wearing?
He has like your standard leather studded leather armor
and he has like a really like big scarf on his feet, a bear
and his hands. A bear because he uses his feet,
his hands because he's a monkey.Interesting he used to be a
human. He used to be a human.
Yeah, good to know. Good to know.
Are these like claw attacks or are these like?
(01:13:00):
It's like Allowie. Pretty much actually just dark
and you can barely see them as it does block out a lot of the
light from above and from your torch.
Everybody make me attack rolls. As you're going down, you start
to feel the platform speed up. Attack rolls OK.
As you're fending these off. I got an 11. 19.
(01:13:20):
Let's see, we're gonna go. With that one.
Caleb Bull is trying off his back and use that to start
swinging. In your old damage or just
attacks? All your damage, yeah, all your
damage except for rigs because you missed let's.
See rigs? You almost hit me.
Lookout, I got a 5. Yeah, almost.
Oh, that was really close. Oh shit, I missed. 12 damage.
(01:13:42):
Caleb, where'd you get with yourdamage?
That is. More than enough. 10 right now.
Yeah, as this platform begins tospeed up, we're going to do this
one more time as we go down and you see that the swarm begins to
get bigger as they're attacking you.
But you with your tackles fend off 4 points of damage except
for rigs, you are going to take that four points of the chronic
damage. I'm really determined to do a no
(01:14:03):
hit run, so I'm going to use my another Hidozi dodge.
Nice to try to mitigate it. Done.
Done. Yeah, one D 6 + 3.
That's already there. Yeah.
Automatic dodge. This begins to speed up even
faster. You feel that the stability is
getting worse and worse. And you see that the darkness is
(01:14:25):
getting darker and darker as allof these tendrils surround even
farther. Everybody make me enough more
attack rolls. 17. 17. Woo, also 1713.
Net 20. Yeah, everybody hits.
And 10 again. And do the crit damage.
As well. Six points.
Four points. You're you're automatically
(01:14:46):
negating all this damage. How this works is the amount of
damage you do is negating the incoming damage.
OK Khalid 14 -, 10 you're takingfour points of necrotic damage.
ECOM 0 Riggs, you were taking 10.
Basil, you were taking 8. How do I get out of this without
taking damage? Like.
Really. And has the human shield?
(01:15:11):
No, please. Has way too concerned with his
own tendrils to worry about anybody elses.
Man, I don't have anything. OK, You're just taking the 10 or
doing your last dozy dodge? Or do you only have two dozy
dodges? I've I have a third, yeah, I'll
use my third one, but they won't.
There's five points of damage. Yeah, so you'd only take five
points in a chronic damage? No, man.
(01:15:31):
Perfect. No.
Hit run. Yeah, reset, reset.
We got to start from the old. We got to start all right.
Let's come safe. Let's come safe.
Come out, come out. As this zooms to the bottom, all
of a sudden this platform slams into the ground.
Everybody make me AI guess it's your choice.
An athletics check or an acrobatics check as this slams
(01:15:53):
into the ground. Oh I'm so glad I finally get
advantage with my cat hands. I got a not one.
Yeah, you just go prone. Ow.
So as you hit the ground, no more tendrils around you.
Mr. DMI can glide? Can I?
Can I? Can I glide?
(01:16:14):
You would have had a. Yeah, I would have to know.
You're really. Brown I want to make it work,
but I don't think so. You said acrobatics or?
Or athletics. 3020. Nice.
Got a 1910? Yeah, Basil and Caleb are going
to go prone. Oh man.
And. I'm going to put some fight
(01:16:35):
music on real quick. Why would we need fight music?
It's not over, ha ha ha, ha. While we're doing that, never
mind. Would you say we have a minute
of downtime? No, you have no downtime.
I'm just getting myself ready with some.
Epic. I know, I know.
I just want to use it to change my appearance to look like Tony.
(01:16:55):
This is all I want. You know what free action you
could have done that as you werefalling.
No, it's cool. I'm using Malleable Visage and I
can use one minute of time if I only change my appearance and
I'm just changing it to look exactly like Riggs.
You all fall down and you see one rig's standing up tall and
one rig's prone on the ground and Caleb.
(01:17:16):
As you get knocked prone on the ground, head ringing, eyes
shaking, you recognize someone in the distance, Sarah Gash, a
paladin that you know fighting against something grotesque.
You see this giant bile bear dripping with black tar, smells
disgusting, leaving what looks like almost acidic drops with
(01:17:39):
every step pounding on the ground shaking the Tavern.
When you look around you see statues all around this place of
a God you don't recognize. You see a frozen waterfall and
it's flowing into what was a pond that is now frozen over.
Everything around the edges are frozen solid and you're going to
roll me initiative as you just try to figure out what's going
(01:18:01):
on. Basil got a nine. 20 I got a Nat
20 Nat 20. 15. The pile bearer did really well,
but it does not beat an at 20 Caleb as you get up off the
ground using half of your movement because what else you
going to do? You get around the room and you
(01:18:21):
see Saru, a fighter. You know Saru Gash Paladin, but
you don't see your loved 1. You do see this giant bear
creeping around. He's going to call out to both
Sargosh and Saru, but it's. Good to see you, Sorry it's in
this situation. As he's getting up to run over
there to give them a hand, is there anything messing with?
(01:18:43):
SARU. You look over at SARU as you're
running and you see it. SARU is frozen solid.
He'll kind of like, wince at that and grit his teeth and turn
to the bear. Yeah, butt on the ground, hand
up like it was blocking something.
He's he's going to take 20 to move up to Sargosh.
Caitlin, it's good to see you. We need to do something quick.
(01:19:05):
I've been fighting, I've been trying.
She's in there. In the bear.
And that's all you get as you need to make your your action.
What are you doing? He is going to swing with those
two hatchets again. Yeah, swing away, roll the head.
All right. First one we got a 17, second
110. Did you rage before you did
(01:19:27):
this? I did not.
I don't know if you wanted to, I'm just asking.
Yeah, yeah, he's gonna rage. You got a lot of rages left.
Or you can use your bonus actionto attack that third time as
well. So you can pick either one,
yeah. It's your choice.
I think he will uses bonus action to give that third attack
and swing that axe again. Cool.
Do those two attacks first, thenA-17 and A10.
The 10 is going to miss. And you, with a focused rage,
(01:19:50):
not quite fully raging yet, run forward with all your force.
And you slash with all your might, and you peel through one
of its thighs and off to the other side with so much force.
But as you cut through with butter, you see all the tendrils
form back in on itself and you feel like nothing happened.
You look down at your axes and there's not even bile on the
(01:20:10):
axis and your axes. Feel cold to the touch and you
hear in your head, Caleb, believe, call for me, Caleb,
please. And this, now this voice, You
feel like it's coming from the statue to the north, and the
South ringing out echoes all around you.
You're not sure what is happening, but you know that it
(01:20:33):
must be this God speaking to you.
Could I roll? To like, get an idea whether I
should trust his voice in my head or not.
A. 100% yeah, give me a bonus act in religious, check
religions with advantage now that you made it down here.
Not my strong suit, but thank you for the advantage.
Definitely going to need it. That's a 2.
Let's try that again. That's funny.
(01:20:54):
The guy who hits things shouldn't be doing religion
checks but but it works a littlebit 14. 14 So with a 14, you
realize that nothing happened with your axes.
And you look around and you see all these wells with what looks
like logs and rooms on the top of these wells like they're fire
pits, but they're not a blaze. And you look over to the
(01:21:16):
waterfall and you feel the waterfall calling to you.
Think about that. We'll get that on your next
turn. We move to the Bio Bears turn.
Everything I tried, nothing. Bang.
It's hit all the way to the sideinto one of these wells down.
You see, Saragash goes down. He calls out.
No response, the bear used its turn to attack once and that is
(01:21:39):
going to use another attack on you that is a nine to miss with
a natural one because it had to turn around and it did have
enough tendrils still reforming that it goes off balance before
trying to hit you as it stares with these glowing red eyes at
you. You see on Sarah Gash's turn
he's trying to breathe and get himself together as I'm going to
be rolling his death saves on the side.
(01:22:00):
ECOM, what are you doing? Ecom has an idea he's going to
go to SAR gash. If I use a key point, then does
that take my? Yeah, key point will be a bonus
action depending on what you do.Yes.
So I'm going to use a key point.I'm going to use Step of the
Wind, which allows me to do a dash action.
On my turn, I'm going to run over to SAR Gash and I'm going
(01:22:22):
to give him my Potions of Supreme Healing.
You can give me supreme healing.I mean, yeah, I mean, this is
his buddy. I I've got it.
Yes, sure, DM the player. I might suggest to just which we
call it stabilize them and save that maybe for one of you.
(01:22:45):
Can we? Player to player advice.
Yeah, you can, player to player.Jared literally do something
else. Don't.
Here's something else. In your turn, stabilize them.
No, no, no, don't even, don't even go over there.
It's fine. No, you can go.
Over there he needs to be stabilized.
No, I'm doing that for sure. Fine, I'll just give him I have
a greater potion of greater healing that I'll use.
(01:23:07):
Perfect. Fine.
Feed him a health potion to try to get him back up and talking.
What did you say? What did you say?
And that's going to be the mention.
Our friend is in there. Is that all I get or can I keep
going with them? That's definitely, yeah, because
we're in. That's what I thought, yeah.
So that's your action, your bonus action, and your action to
(01:23:29):
give them that. Riggs, what are you doing as you
see ECOM? I see that it's about to go
down, So what I'm going to do isI'm going to sheath my sword
real quick and thrust my hand into the air and I'm going to
cast a spell confusion on the biobear.
It's going to make a deep Wisdomsaving throw with DC-14.
You do that, and as this comes down on the bear, you feel like
(01:23:50):
it just hit a brick wall and bounced away, ricocheted.
OK. And.
Give me a perception check if you like. 11. 11's good enough.
You know Caleb should have torn through the bear, but it
immediately pulled tendrils backand it didn't seem to be
effective in any way. You did this huge spell down on
the bear and nothing happened. You feel like that looking
(01:24:12):
around the the room, this holy place is struggling and maybe
there might be some connection to this bear in the room as to
why nothing is affecting it right now.
Well, biscuits and I look at thebear and be like Basil, stay
here distracted and I run off. I'm going to move.
Wait, what? When you say that, you turn
around and see yourself. I'm all about monkey business
(01:24:35):
right now. We need to get this.
We need to get this. We got to get this.
We got to get this now. OK.
I'm going to start making my waytowards one of the wells where
these like rooms are and I'm going to move 30 feet.
Basil, what are you doing? You notice all this as well.
You see that none of these attacks seem to be doing
anything right now. How far did we take this
(01:24:57):
platform down? Very, very, very far.
Hundreds of feet. Like ballpark?
How many hundreds of feet? 1000 just like 1000.
Just asking for specifics. No reason at all What you?
Trying to run away. No, dude, maybe.
(01:25:18):
Anyways, be like, guys, don't worry, I'll take care of the
other one. And can I go over to, is it Saru
that's over in the corner covered in ice?
You can. And then can I take out my
daggers and just start trying tocarve the person out of ice?
Give me either a medicine check or just a sleight of hand check.
(01:25:43):
I'll do sleight of hand for sure.
That's a dirty 20. Nice.
You're actually doing this really well.
And you get one of his legs, like the ice cut off and you see
that? You see this pale frozen leg.
You feel like if you did this several more times, you get him
out. Nice.
OK. And then as you turn around like
success, you see the platform leaving up into the hole.
(01:26:06):
No, that's why you said, say, here I was.
So I was so confused. Is I'm really glad you kept the
platform down. Look, I I must have been
unconscious when you guys talkedabout what this did.
(01:26:30):
Yeah, that's going to be my turn, Caleb.
I want to give Caleb a bardic inspiration.
His bonus action. Hell yeah.
Good call. Be like you can do this.
Hang in there. As we cycle through around
Caleb, you hear that voice again.
My child. Child, help, please.
We need you more than ever. And you feel like you see a
(01:26:51):
glitter, you see a glint of something by the waterfall.
He like talked to himself or in his head like right, what do you
need me to do to? Me child.
He's gonna go ahead and go into a rage and he's gonna go with
the Eagles rage and he's gonna use that to go ahead and
disengage. Yeah.
(01:27:11):
So so you can get away from thisand head towards the water sick.
That's so cool. Yeah.
So you disengage with that rage.Kind of use the bonus action
still to do the dash as well. I can do both if I use the bonus
action. How much is your speed?
40. 40 So you can want to yeah, you can make it pretty much
right. I'll say you get on like, I'm
not going to be a nitpicky about5 feet, you know?
(01:27:33):
All right, yeah, you can make itto the platform there.
And you feel a God calling to you and you feel like you might
need to spend some time here connecting with the God to get
some of the magic back into thisplace.
Like there hasn't been someone here to connect with them in a
long time. That has tried and goes in front
of them and he sticks it right down in front and he's using
that rage to like focus in and say all right, do.
(01:27:55):
What I need do what I need? And you are going to start doing
that throughout your terms. You get to do 1 now.
Make me. You're going to make me a
religion check. Do that first.
Fail. You fail immediately.
But continue trying to connect as you feel the voice starting
to come closer. What else is going to work is
the DC is going to stay the same.
If any of you decide to shout out to DJ Khaled to Khalid.
(01:28:20):
If you decide to shout out to Khalid as a bonus action, that
will give him another +2 on his check.
Could I use that bardic to jump this up?
I would suggest the next time OKDM the player but you definitely
can't do that. Yeah, you can use a bardic as it
goes to the bears turn. The bear seems really really
(01:28:41):
upset by this and is going to use a dash action to go over to
Caleb as it skips its turn and goes to econ all.
Right, I'm talking to Sargash. What do I need to know?
The thing, the bile, the shit ittook her.
Our. Friend, it's it's in the bear.
(01:29:03):
I don't know what it's doing to her.
Speaking of which, maybe start doing some stuff.
Why are you rolling dice at a time like this?
Just. Tell me what's wrong with the
bear. Don't worry about it.
Every time the bear takes its turn, Caleb, you flinch and you
feel like what your friend is taking damage like a host to a
parasite. He's.
(01:29:24):
Speaking to that whatever God that is, like whatever it takes
to get her out alive. I'm in ECOM.
What are you doing with your turn with that information?
The thing that's next to me, do I notice anything?
The little fire pit, frozen firepit thing.
I notice anything with it. You notice that there's wood in
there, like it could be lit withthese blue rooms around the
(01:29:46):
edges, glowing dimly. You don't think you could do
anything with it right now the way it is?
So Stargash is good. You just told me that she's in
in bear. I'm gonna go deal with the bear.
All right? You good?
Yeah, yeah. Thumbs up.
Thumbs up. OK, bye.
I fucking. I run towards the bear and I'm
just going to try to hit it to get its.
(01:30:08):
And you see Sargash gets up breeze heavily and joins you in
that attempt. Just roll me your attack rolls
and that'll determine how well this distracts the bear server.
Gash is already helping a lot. 14 to hit. 15 to hit.
Yeah, the two of you together get a good average and you
immediately get the bears attention as it's really pissed
(01:30:28):
is going to turn around to you too.
ECOM do you want to use your bonus action?
Can I hit it You're. Hitting it, it's not doing
anything. I am hitting it.
OK, I'm going to hold you to that.
I'm going to then use a chi point, a key point, and I'm
going to use dramatic effects, stunning strike.
Sure. Why?
Why do you say like that? Do it hit rolling?
(01:30:50):
Good. When you hit with the melee
attack, you can use one key point and make the target
stunned until the end of the turn if it fails.
A Constitution saving throw of ADC 14.
So you roll. You roll to see.
Doesn't have to roll. You do that and your fist sinks
into this abyssal thing and you pull it out.
(01:31:12):
Riggs, you see econ struggling. What are you doing?
1st, I'm going to use my action to throw my dagger using True
Strike. That's the third team I'm going
to, luckily. You don't need to do a hit.
Oh OK I dope. That's going to be 9 points of
(01:31:36):
radiant damage as I throw a dagger.
It shines with brilliant radiance.
It does slightly something. It's not doing a lot, but it
seems to be the only thing that's done anything right now
to this bear. I use my bonus action to yell
out to Caitlin, be the light in the darkness, and then I'll use
my movement to run over to one of these wells.
(01:31:57):
Investigate like this well with the rune inside of it.
But I told you to stay on the platform.
Well, it's gone now. You go over to this well, and as
you look in, you almost feel like you're starting to hear
voices as we go to Basil. What are you doing?
I look back so the platform is completely gone.
Yeah, it's gone by now. Damn, regs doesn't listen.
(01:32:21):
What I would like to do is I am going to cast a third level aid.
Nice, so I can choose up to three characters within range,
each targets HP or hit point maximum and current hit points
increase by 10. So I'm going to choose Caleb,
(01:32:44):
Eckholm and Sarah gosh. And then I am also going to
bonus action to Caleb and be like be the light in the
darkness, like I said that first.
And then I think that's going tobe my.
(01:33:05):
Run away. No, no.
I wish I I, I had so much more stuff I could cast to just take
care of myself. I'm not going to.
Yeah, that's going to be my turn.
Khaled at the top of this round you feel that voice calling out
to you again. You can take your action to
focus on that voice, meditate, pray.
It's going to do that. You have a + 6 he's.
(01:33:27):
Focusing in an art on that. 112 not going to do it.
You're struggling, but you feel the voice getting higher and
higher. Khaled, I would like to lend you
my power. Please use my power pile.
Bear is mad as it goes to hit ecom once for the 17 for 17
(01:33:48):
points of akrotic slashing damage.
It hits Sabergash down again. Wait, what do you what do you
hit him for? Enough silvery doesn't have a
high maximum so oh that yeah, you guys are giving like this
small boy a bunch of stuff he not going to never.
Mind, sorry and. On his turn, he makes a death
(01:34:13):
saving throw. Oh, that was not a good face.
I saw that. I should not have made a face.
No poker as it moves to Ecom's turn.
OK, so I can't hit it. But right now you're doing a
good. Right now it's eyes are on you.
I'm. Going to try something.
It may not work, but hitting it's not going to do anything
better anyways. As an action, it's called Hour
of the Reaping. As an action, each creature in
(01:34:34):
30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw of ADC 14 or
be frightened until the end of the turn.
So I'm going to do that. Give me a roll.
It blinks at you. That's.
What? I thought I'm like.
I just shrugged my shoulders as I sit there waiting for the next
(01:34:56):
attack. As you call out to Kaylin again.
Kaylin, you got this. I mean, I believe in you.
You're doing well. Riggs, you feel, you see, like
the platform glowing around Caleb.
Like it like he's almost figuredthis out.
And nothing in the world. Not yet.
OK, I'm going to go ahead and use the DAS action to get to
(01:35:18):
Saragusch Sagusch and I'm going to any bonus action.
Call out to your boy. Yeah, I'm going to be like, hey,
your boy, your boy. Sarah Gush.
She's not feeling too hot. You might want to pick up the
pace. Yeah.
You feel the heartbeats of all your friends around you, Caleb
as Basil takes his turn. Basil would like to use an
(01:35:42):
action. I'm going to yell out to Sarah,
gush. I'm going to say, hey, you
please stop getting hit by the bear, and I'm going to cast
Healing Word to bring them up. Nice.
OK, he's up. He's 11 HP Nice.
(01:36:05):
This is a first level Healing Word.
And then that was a bonus action.
And I'd like to take an action to continue to try to dig this
other person out. Yeah, give me that check again.
Oof. I'm trying to think if I can do
anything about this. I don't think I can.
It's not. It's not great, but you've
probably gotten up to his waist now.
Yeah. And he, like, is like jiggle.
(01:36:27):
And then he kind of slumps over because his legs are now not.
Yeah. Please, please stand still.
These are very sharp cards, or Imean daggers.
I don't know what I'm using right now.
It's fine. As he kind of shifts to the
side. Flailing.
Yeah, that's going to be my turn.
Kaylin all. Right know what to do.
You have a + 12. He's digging in is.
(01:36:49):
That a zero? That's rough.
This sucks. Ecom is going to run over there
and be like get out of the way. It was just dial up in the way I
couldn't get, I got, I got static.
I'll let you use your full your bonus action as well to do the
check one more time. OK, let's let's do this.
(01:37:11):
Come on, give me something nice.OK.
That's 7 plus. Plus 14 now.
Yeah, 21 ECOM Basil rigs. You see this glowing of the
platform and a shine of light bursts into the room as all of
the ice shatters and the waterfall begins flowing once
(01:37:34):
more into this bright pool of magical liquid.
Khalid, when the light goes away, you hear one more time.
Thank you for believing in L death.
And when you all look back at Khalid, he is a giant spectrum
bear the same size as the bio bear.
Right. How that's gonna work is we're
(01:37:55):
not gonna roll bear stuff. We're just gonna say you're all
of your damage, roll the damage dice twice.
Got it. As this happens, the bio bear
freaks out, loses half of its half of its health and begins to
panic and freak out. And as it's doing that you see
all the tendrils peeling apart and for a second you see Andrew
(01:38:16):
start screaming as she pops out and then gets engulfed again.
Caleb. And as that happens, you notice
that she's been taking damage between rounds, takes more
damage, and you feel like if youwanted to, you could use your
bonus actions on your turn on your next turn to pull that
damage to you and let it seep your health out instead.
(01:38:36):
OK, think about it. Oh, yeah, this bear roars.
And it does lose its action because of what you did.
And you see all the blue flames in all these welds?
We're like pedestals below Basil.
You look to your right. You're like, oh, it feels warm.
It feels good. That's some good, good magic
(01:38:58):
that maybe you could cover your weapon with.
You don't have to. But as this glowing light enters
the room, you come. What are you doing to this bile
bear? Utterly destroying it and I feel
like, or at least attempting it's going to get some spear
attacks a dirty 20. It goes through, but you don't
feel like it's doing anything still as you see Basil eyeing
(01:39:20):
the flames. Yeah, use the flames, huh?
Well I'm gonna hit it again because I already started and I
get 2 it. Doesn't listen.
What's with this guy? So it's gonna be 14 and 14
attacks and then he's going to then if you.
Wanted to you could use a key point to disengage, roll over to
(01:39:42):
the fire and use your movement to put it in.
All you guys got to do is use your movement.
Stop doing GET there. I'm using the key point to use a
disengage. Wow, great idea, Jared.
And then as I disengage, I'm going to run over to the fire
and yeah, there we go to that. And as you put your spear into
(01:40:04):
the fire, it covers a spear and then your arms and then your
full body. And you feel energized as you
look at rigs like, let's get this rigs, what are you doing?
Sargas looks at you, by the way,and goes, I need to break.
And he starts crawling away. I'm going to throw a dagger at
the biobear with two strike. That's a 25.
(01:40:27):
So good. That is 14 points of radiant
damage. The bear is really starting to
look messed up now. And then I sidestep flip to the
left. As a UCA econ getting the good
good fire, you see Kayla down toSpectrum Bear for me.
See rigs raining down Holy energy.
What are you going to do to add to this fight?
(01:40:47):
I will cartwheel over to the Fountain of Magic and dip my
deck of cards in there and throwone at the bear.
I throw the cars. Yeah, exactly.
That's going to be 24 to head. Yeah.
(01:41:08):
That's nice. Max damage, That's six points
of. It shrieks and takes double of
that damage. Nice.
Very nice. You're dual Wheeling daggers.
You can use a bonus action if you want to throw another one.
Okay, cool, let's do that cards, but yeah cards 22 to hit.
Yep. Okay, so it would be double, so
(01:41:29):
6 points of damage gun. You see this bile creature split
apart, It is no longer a bear form, as a radiant damage has
destroyed any of that semblance. And you see that it splits apart
into two bile creatures, amorphous tendrils lashing out.
Not any true form anymore. Are we able to see which one
that Andrew goes into? Which is going to say, give me a
(01:41:51):
perception check, Caleb. Yeah.
You notice that as a creature split apart, so you see her hand
going into the one at the northern end of this cavern and
then get sucked back in. You 3 take care of creature A,
I'll handle creature B. And it does go to your turn,
(01:42:14):
Caleb. Is it feasible for Caleb to go
into a rage again because he would have fallen out of it
because he didn't attack I'm. Going to say you stayed in your
rage with this feat. I mean, I can't swap my my wild
rage to a bear or this is going to stay the eagle.
Oh yeah, you can override it with bear, but you won't be able
to attack with your off hand all.
Right. He's going to rage in and he's
going to run up to that thing. You know he's going to do this.
(01:42:35):
He's going to do some work on it.
It's can. I'm going to use the Bartek to
make that already hit. I only rolled 10.
That's a 17. Hits.
And then we're going to go aheadand swing on it.
That'd be thirteen. And he's like pulling your head
and try to RIP it apart. He's roaring at it, but it's
also like overlapped with the bear sound.
And he's going to go ahead and do it again.
Hit him again. Nah, that's only a nine.
(01:42:57):
Miss This one misses as the tendrils see the next one coming
in go out of the way. You see that this one is
immediately going to make 2 attacks at you.
The first one is a nine to miss, second one's a 22 as you take 23
points of bludging damage. Half silvery barbs.
Silvery barbs. Tell the audience what that
does. Yeah, so pretty much silvery
(01:43:18):
barbs was more for the second part.
So Silvery Barbs, the person that I pick has to reroll and
then they have to take the lowerof the two rolls and then I get
to choose a different creature that I can see within range of
myself and it gives them advantage on their next attack
rules or ability check saving throws within the next minute.
(01:43:40):
So Yep. So yeah, they have to reroll
that attack. That is going to be a 24.
They still take the lower one, yeah.
But yeah, it doesn't matter. Yeah.
That was what then? So 23 have, that's 11 points of
bludgeoning damage because you're raging and necrotic
damage. That's 18 necrotic damage.
(01:44:01):
I think the bear still haves that.
So I think yeah. So it's 9.
So 2020 damage total. Not too bad.
OK, not too bad. And you get advantage.
Next either attack save a thrower check that you want to
use. As this creature goes up to
basil. Oh no, the split creature.
It was a joke. Make me a This is poetic as you
(01:44:26):
look at the frozen person next to you.
Make me a Dexterity, a a Constitution, rather saving.
Throw. I really should have saved that
silver of arms. Fuck.
As you say, 43 points of coal damage. 43.
Yeah. I'm fucking dead.
(01:44:54):
Are you dead? No, I'm dead, dude.
You're. Not dead.
Yeah cuz what is it? Wait, how do you how do you auto
diet? What's your Max?
41 double your. Oh, double.
Yeah, you're not OK. You're not double.
It's double. Yeah, you're just out cold.
You're as cold as the guy who's frozen next to you.
Yeah. Yeah, seriously.
You see Basil get basil get frozen.
(01:45:17):
Make me another constitution. No, your constitution say failed
because all says paralysis paralysizing breath.
So on your first failure failurethe target is incapacitated.
So you're like the thawed need to get thought out version, not
full icicle yet. But I'm next to that fire,
right? Yeah.
We'll see how that goes. Econ what are you doing as you
(01:45:37):
see this cold breath just fly out.
Yeah, I think I'm just going to go up to the closest one, start
hitting it with everything I gotnow that I got the special flame
going spear tech. Oh, before you do that, someone
is taking 4 points of damage. Don't worry about it.
So we have a. 16 and an 11. Both it.
(01:45:59):
Oh no, 11 misses, sorry. 14 points of damage and then I'm
gonna use my key point, the lastone and do Fury of Load.
Blows. It's 21 and 24.
Yeah, both hit. 8. Points of damage and 11 points
(01:46:19):
of damage. You see that this thing is
dwindling and getting smaller and smaller, and you can almost
see the form of your friend Halen Riggs.
What are you doing? I'm.
Going to run up, I want to attack him.
Bow creature B with true strike again.
Yep, with the radiant damage with my short sword.
Nice. It's 24 to hit, and that's going
(01:46:40):
to be 7 points of radiant damage.
It's now taking it in full. He is now vexed.
I'm going to be like, you see that big, oh, he's dead and I'm
going to end my turn, Basil. And that's how it's done A.
Death saving throw, please. The 12.
All right, that's success. Kayla the bear.
(01:47:01):
He's attacking, he's going to do2 more attacks.
These It's the unarmed strikes he's doing on this thing miss
with. The 12, these ones are more
shifty. There we go about an 18 and then
he's going to, you know, bonus action to pull that any damage
that happens to her. OK, roll your damage first.
(01:47:21):
OK, that right there is going tobe 6.
Wait, no, actually I forgot. I actually had to roll the D 8.
So that's actually well, it's only going to be 5.
Unfortunately, I lost one on that one and then that's going
to be. Broke. 8.
As your spectral claws, these holy claws tear through this bio
like creature, you see your friend drop to the ground and
(01:47:44):
almost in slow MO you see that You see all this akrotic tendril
stuff hits the floor, bubbles and then covers her again and
shifts her over into the next one.
Combining I've. Seen this before?
Making it a tiny bit bigger. Do I have any movement or is
that done? You move.
He's a run, right? He's running right up to it.
(01:48:06):
Did have to roll for that. It did not get that for free.
Basil, you reach up towards. Calendar.
I love you, please you can take your next attack if you like.
He will. He took 2, already did the bonus
actors and they just moved. Yeah.
All right, end of your turn. What?
Damage am I taking? Yep.
(01:48:28):
You're going to take on its turn2 points of damage as its host.
As you see the tendrils begin tosome fall off and start to seep
up into your body, 'cause you'relike floating within the
spectral bear form. You know what I mean?
You're not. You didn't become the spectral
bear. You are floating within it,
controlling it, and you take 2 points in a crack damage, but
then it's going to attack you. It's going to recharge.
(01:48:49):
Its breath recharges it, but first it's just going to attack
with a nine to miss, all right, And then that one to miss.
Yeah. Noise.
Econ You see this thing floundering, scared for the
first time you see emotions in this thing just.
Bare palm this, chin up to go avoid it.
On its last leg. Move it in.
(01:49:10):
Guess what man? With my spear.
Are you now? And I got a net one I'm not
hitting with my. Arm falls off you.
You can't hit again, your arm fell off it.
Had happened once. You have to use your bonus
action to pick it up. Damn.
You keep it together, ecom. I try to shake my fist but it's
the arm that fell off. It's on the ground.
(01:49:31):
Yeah, lose your elbow. I run up comically, go to do the
most powerful swing ever, pull my arm out of its socket
literally as it falls to the ground, flopping around, and I
use my bonus action to awkwardlypick it up as I stare at the big
tentacle monster. Riggs, what do you do is you see
ECOM floundering it again. Riggs please, I'm going to run
(01:49:55):
up and attack it with my short sword.
Two strike for, 24 points of damage for. 24 and a hit.
Yeah, my bad. That's going to be 15 points of
radiant damage. Very nice, very nice.
And then? I'm going to use my bonus action
and give Khalid. Khalid.
(01:50:15):
Bartik Inspiration. Nice.
Khalid, Khalid, Khalid. Basil roll that death saving
through. My friends, please I'm right
here. You have combat inspiration by
the nice. It's a 7 fail cuz please he's
fine. Kayla, what are you doing on
(01:50:36):
your turn? Swinging on big ugly.
Oh yeah, please do. Swing on this guy again.
Oof, it's only a 10 you. Want to do reckless?
I think I will. I'll find any better but it's a
13. Someone doesn't work.
Get to reckless the next one. Yep.
I do. So let's go ahead.
Let's see what happens. That's better.
That's a lot better. That's 22.
(01:50:58):
See if you create No I don't so nice if you 20. 18 that's 22.
Let's see I get the hit that hasa four.
You said, what's your diet? Give me. 2D eights.
You're just doubling all your damage dice, So 2D eights plus
four, yeah. This spectral bears glorious.
All right, so that was so that's7312.
(01:51:18):
Okay. Yep. 12 total damage and you can
use your bonus action because you already used it to start
taking in this he's going to chronic energy.
All right. Wait, is it just keeps going or
do I get? You can hit again with a bonus
action. OK.
I'm still going to pull in the chronic entry.
Still you're. Continually doing it now that
you used your bonus action. All right then, yeah.
Bonus action, just swing on it again.
(01:51:40):
There we go, there we. Go love it.
There you go. Nice. 2D8.
Now we're going to hit that DAG again, so that is going to be
three more I think. I'm going to Add all those rages
on top of that because we haven't been adding those rages.
2 plus 2488 more damage as this thing is dwindling yet again,
looking left and right, looking for a way out.
(01:52:01):
You see all of the ice in the cavern slowly starting to melt
away and it is going to use a last ditch effort and it's going
to shoot it's cold breath at youguys because we got really,
really lucky and got it back. Everybody please make me a
Constitution saving throw. Guys, look out.
I want to use one. Boy, is 16 enough?
(01:52:22):
Oh my. Goodness 23 I'm.
Gonna use a lot of .16. Fail. 23 ecom.
Oh. Here we go, 17.
Fail. Oh, biscuits.
Welcome to the club, Caleb. Yes, you.
(01:52:46):
Take half of 20 and half of thatis 10.
You only take 10 damage. Yep.
Nice as you watch E com and rigsgo down no.
Wait, I thought you said 20 damage.
Taking 40 points of damage because you 2 failed.
No, my no hit run, I'm down. You see E com and rigs go down.
Well then. But this?
Thing just means sargosh. It's like a messed up E com
(01:53:07):
death saving throw. Could David call out Sargosh,
tell them they have healing? Potions.
Yeah, you can absolutely do thaton your turn, but for now, econ,
what are you doing? Nothing.
Yeah. Saving.
Sorry. I rolled just AD 20 right?
For me, D20. Flat D20.
And nine fail. Riggs D20 pass pass 11 basil.
(01:53:34):
If I rolled in that one right here, I'm dead.
Yeah, imagine the first character bringing into this.
It's 4. It's a fail.
That's two fails. Oh God.
Khaled, you yell that out and hewill definitely go do that.
All right? But first, it's your turn.
I'm going to keep. Going with those attacks, boom.
Like Reckless would be pretty great here.
(01:53:55):
Well. That's 18 right there.
Hopefully you get a crit and finish it right now.
He's going to reckless. So that's 18 right there.
He just rolled. We're looking for a crit.
No, that's going to be that one.OK, going to hit on the first
one though. All that damage, it's the big
round. So that's eight, right?
There I go. I do it twice, right?
+2 is 10, he said. It's twice.
Add another D8. Another eight.
(01:54:16):
I'm gonna swing again. That's a 19.
Maybe crit. Maybe crit?
Let's see, let's see 9 still thesame.
Good enough? I would do that again cuz two
attack, that's a nine and then we'll do it one more time,
that's another eight. Kaylin, how do you finish this
bio creature? He's.
Still there, swinging on this thing over and over again, not
(01:54:37):
getting lower and lower and lower.
It's roaring at him. He's roaring back at it and he's
reaching up and he's he's come standing up, chest out, big old
bear on the back, two legs, 2 arms come down and he's roars.
Get off her. As he breathes, swings his arms
down and rips it down the middle, flickling in both halves
(01:54:58):
to the side. And you see it all splatter to
the side and you see slowly. Look like a Roche painting.
This ice and snow against the melt away as I change my music
back to medieval lofi. Sour Gash comes over and pours A
(01:55:19):
potion into Brig's mouth. Technically he's covered in ice,
so. True, but the potion's magical
don't work. Ox it off.
The bonus action into you and anaction to ECOM.
Basil, you are gonna have to make me one more death saving
throw unless Khaled wants to go over before Haley and his
(01:55:41):
girlfriend. I think Caleb, well, he's big
enough to pick her up and run over there to him, right?
Yep. But he'll scoop her up, run over
there and give him assistance. Wow, everyone I care about is
up. That's great.
Basil, you're up. You would have died, yeah.
Yeah, you would have. Nobody dies today.
(01:56:02):
You're my best friend. Am I still radiant right now or
did that disappear? You went back into normal form
but you are glowing but as you hold Andre and Basil.
Hey, what's up? What's your name?
What happened? Kaylin, are we OK?
(01:56:23):
We are are. We going to be fine.
You are good. Everything's fine.
She puts her hand up on your cheek and as she does that she
sees that some of the Socratic energy is seeping away from her
but into your cheek. As you are still taking on the
Socratic energy from the room rigs Basil Econ, you see that
splatter on the walls, slowly seeping off the walls and back
(01:56:46):
towards I. Think he already had an idea of
what was going on since he didn't have to do anything else
to keep it going. It just kept happening.
He probably had to say somethingalong the lines of just like.
Hour comes with a price A. Price.
No, this isn't a price. This isn't.
This isn't right. No, this can't be right.
Don't put her down gently and they'll start like taking off
(01:57:07):
those hand bands he's got on. And you feel that call again
towards the pond with the waterfall flowing into it.
He'll look over to it, look backat her.
He'll put the ribbons in her hand and tell her to just give
them to the boy. No.
Don't go into the light. Don't do it.
And he'll walk over to the pond. No, don't.
No. That's the opposite of what I
said. As this water's raining down and
(01:57:30):
the glow, you see the branches, the necrotic branches above
create a hole up into, you know, the above.
As light begins to flow down andfill the cavern, it sparkles off
of the walls, the ice and basil skin, and you see that the
necrotic energy is flowed into the pond and into your body
(01:57:51):
until it's creeping up into yourneck.
Everybody, as you're looking upon Caleb, please give me a
religion check. Except for me or including me.
Including you. I got a 5.
I'm using my last block point. It was worse.
I got a 12. 16. 28. The average is above a 10 for
everybody. So Khaled, for the first time
(01:58:11):
you will be the first junior reformer to roll this roll
normally not with disadvantage. Please make me a constitution
saving throw as as the chronic energy seeps up in tune, but I
did. It first.
I did it first. Wow, almost got to pass you,
(01:58:34):
huh? Yeah, you get a Bardic
Inspiration I'd use on this roll, all right.
From no. From basil, From brick.
All right. Basil, do you want to be evens
or odds? I want to be evens. 22 plus the
bardic, Yeah. How was it?
What's your bardic D8? D8, it's AD eight.
Yeah, yeah, I said it first. That's two.
That's a. So what's that come out to be?
(01:58:56):
24, yeah. It's 24.
I'll say you can reroll the bardic because you got 2, but
you can't combine them all. Right, 1D8 here we go.
But I will let you reroll the bardic because they gave you 2.
All right, I can't do anything else.
Say you live, damn it. 5. Kayla, do you feel that call
into the river? And you slam your fist down as
(01:59:19):
to maintain and lock away the Socratic energy once more that
used to be locked away. And as you pound down into the
ice in the water, that splash sends you into another realm
that you see L death almost likea water nymph looking at you.
You're in this land of water. Hey Lid a champion.
Thank you. Your parents, they always
(01:59:42):
believed in me and they always gave you such bravery to push
on. I wish they were here with us
today. You'd say anything to her?
Probably kind of like looks off, thinks about it, thinks about
the people he managed to get outof there knowing that his
friends will be fine. Think I'm proud of myself.
I find something I think can make up for all that rage.
(02:00:04):
Well, rage well spent the one outside.
She loves you dearly. And I her.
She hugs you and you feel this warmth.
Not many believe in me anymore, so please let me bear this
whoosh. And you are the first ever hold
back humanitarian to survive. As you are flashed out and
(02:00:26):
throwing up bile into the water, you see it freezes back over
into this black ice that you arenow standing on and you're
coughing and coughing but you'reOK and Andrew runs over and she
lays a huge wet one on you. I did it.
I kept him alive. I think between all of that and
(02:00:47):
his breathing, trying to catch his breath, he's like.
All right, let's not do that again.
OK. Yeah, and let's get, let's get.
Saru and get out of here. OK?
And you see Saru gas. Pass.
Him over his shoulder like ice form slowly thawing out and we
will end this episode knowing that I rolled an even and it was
(02:01:11):
Basil's bardic die that saved him of.
Course it always says the best part.
Wow, thank you so much. Bullshit.
I'm Djorn, Christian Djorn in the discord.
But Christian to us today. Thank you for joining us.
That was a blast. Yeah, thanks for playing, man.
Oh, this is freaking amazing. Great.
(02:01:32):
Time. Great time.
It was a good time. I loved everything.
It was awesome. That was great.
That was great. The bears theme and everything,
which is awesome. Just because back story.
That's awesome, love. Everything of this bears.
Had to, had to, you know, Oh yeah, I was going to do a
different kind of thing we'll talk about in the after show.
I was going to do something different.
But you gave me all this back story stuff and it just gave me
this idea and I was like, I loveit.
(02:01:53):
I changed it yesterday and I was.
Like I'm I'm big on the back story stuff.
I'm I'll deep dive pages right if I have to.
When? You give me enough, I know what
to do, but we need to say goodbye.
We'll see you guys in the after show, of course, in video form,
which will be nice. But before we go, Christian, you
have 30 seconds on the clock. Either shout yourself out,
(02:02:14):
someone else out, whatever you want to talk about. 30 seconds
is yours all. Right.
Well, Christian Bjorn on the Discord on the, you know, D&D
404, I just wanted to shout out to my girlfriend who's also on
there underneath the name Wolfies.
Hi and say thank you to my family and my friends who have
kind of encouraged me to do thisand get on my comfort zone and
(02:02:35):
really open for anything. Nice.
I love that. It's awesome.
Yo, that's awesome. It's a hard thing to do.
Yeah. You know.
Yeah. And Alex, since you're finally
joining us on the whole Beck Humanitarians, what's your
suggestion for the week? Besides.
Dutch Dutch crunch. You know what?
No. I'm gonna let Christian do it.
I don't want to. I want to take his wreck.
I'm gonna let him do it. Man, that's that's a tough one.
(02:02:59):
Now I'm on the spot and I've drawn a full on blank I had
clocked. I know, I know what you should
suggest. You should suggest Renaissance
fairs. Oh God, yes, yeah.
Do with them even if you're not like totally interested in them.
You think of oh, it's kind of like Larping, right?
No, it's a lot of fun. You got all kinds of people
coming there and it's really nice, even if they're drunk as
(02:03:19):
all get out. Everyone's just a jolly, having
a good time, which goes fire dancing, the whole 9.
It's just a fun experience. Dress up.
It gets it gets you more into it.
This is our first ever activity,I think pitched.
Right. Absolutely.
Yeah, that's. Cool.
Yeah, I think it is too. And the meat's great.
Everybody, thank you for joiningus.
(02:03:41):
For a wonderful Holbeck humanitarians, we will reveal
the mechanic that he finally surpassed in the After Show.
And everybody, please, please give your best your most
wholehearted bardic. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
Goodbye. Rick sucks.
(02:04:06):
All right, everybody, welcome back to Drell's first annual
Bodacious Boditorium bodybuilding contest.
Try to say that five times fast, and I will be going over the
contestants. First, we have the bloodshot
Bandits. The Dread.
You've officially become a silent icon in the posing
(02:04:28):
practice room. That mere routine you did
yesterday. Powerful, elegant, and
terrifying. A couple new members actually
left the gym because they thought you were a rape that had
materialized. Can't wait to see what you bring
to the stage. Might not speak, but your flexes
are loud. Brandy Woodburner.
(02:04:50):
While everyone else is trying toget their micros right, you
rolled in and asked if we wantedred, white or sparkling Brandy.
You're not competing, but you'remaking sure the post competition
celebrations are legendary and your deadlift and dry rose
tasting last night is already sold out.
(02:05:13):
And the bench press brew you dropped off?
Surprisingly drinkable after a set of curls.
Bless you and your blessed barrels.
Craig Dawnbringer. There was a rumor going around
that you weren't entering the competition, but I've noticed a
sudden increase in protein shakes, mirror glances, and
subtle lunges during conversation.
(02:05:35):
Don't worry, I get it. I mean, I totally do the same
thing. You're going for the surprise
reveal strategy? Bold move.
Just know I'm on to you. Julius Kendrick.
Still technically on probation, but somehow I found your name on
the men's most theatrical entrance sign up sheet.
What do you know? Fine, you know what you're in.
(02:05:58):
If you want to descend from the ceiling on a roast room, just
test it this time. Julius, we're still recovering
from the fog machine incident. Knock Mock Your Cooking has
fueled half the competitors in this gym and possibly made the
other half weep tears of flavorful induced joy.
That new high protein spice Stewyou've been testing is either
(02:06:20):
game changer or a mild hallucinogen.
I'm not really sure yet. Regardless, you've earned the
title Master of the meal prep inmuscle growth.
Just maybe tone down the heat next batch.
We lost 3 lifters to spice induced vision loss yesterday.
Morgan Oldfield, while you haven't signed up, I've seen you
(02:06:43):
and your fox familiar running synchronized hill sprints behind
the gym. Either you're preparing for the
comp or for some sort of woodland ambush scenario.
Either way, I respect the hustleand so does your fox, who for
the record is now also maybe hasbetter absent half the gym.
(02:07:06):
I'm just saying Artemis, you're not competing, but you've taken
upon yourself to be the officialintimidation coach for the
competitors. Whispering, he skips leg day.
The people mid set for psychological warfare.
Frankly, it's genius. Just don't say it to me ever
(02:07:28):
again. And I mean ever.
Gloric night breaker. I saw you working on your posing
transitions in the cardio room, shirtless, covered in glitter,
and doing your finger guns between each flex.
Is it regulation? Absolutely not.
Is it unforgettable? Also yes.
(02:07:50):
Keep it mildly illegal and you've got a real shot.
Next up is Sly. Everyone's counting reps and
you're counting exit routes. You train like you're pulling
off a heist, not a workout, and somehow it's working.
Your flex routines look like a distraction tactic, and
honestly, it's kind of genius. Just don't swap the winner's
(02:08:13):
medal for decoy again, OK? We're still looking for the real
1 Sidgic College alumni David Lachance.
I've noticed you just standing off stage during everyone's
posing practice, sipping smoothies and whispering
critiques like some kind of shredded theater director.
(02:08:33):
Either compete or stop making people question their life
choices. Mid flex, preferably both.
Punk. Your guitar bass worms are
great, but the gym floor is not your stage.
That said, your lat spread powerchords have a certain magic and
if you bring that same energy tothe posing room you might just
(02:08:55):
create a new category. Most melodic muscle?
Mongo the Yeti giant, you've begun circulating Flyers titled
Carbs are Lies, Shred the bread. While your anti gluten crusade
is noted, we do need to remind you that carbs are kind of
(02:09:15):
important for you. You know, lifting heavy things
and all. At least let the other
competitors eat their bagels in peace.
Saying chaos. The mysterious new supplement
powder you've been handing out backstage has been described as
tasting like moonlight in danger.
If that's legal, I don't even care.
(02:09:36):
Just save me a scoop. Also, your private posing room
with fog lasers and ambient chatting.
Very own brand chartreuse Vex Shade.
The smallest gnome in the gym with the biggest magical flair
that will caught you using sorcery to amplify your lifts.
Sometimes with unexpected side effects like turning kettle
(02:09:58):
bells into glowing frogs mid set, your arcana enhanced
workouts, or definitely turning heads.
Just try to keep the fireballs away from the treadmills yet.
Andreas Heroes Mister Man with glass, charcoal darts and D&D
Virgin your team routine rehearsals for the competition
(02:10:20):
has turned into an elaborate stage play.
The fake swords, synchronized flexing and the villain
monologue. I don't know how this will score
with the judges, but I already sold tickets.
Bjorn any master of weapons, Toby Large and John Carroll.
(02:10:42):
You're still a sneaky mirror. Nor into the gym as you're team
nutritionist. You think I can't tell?
That's him under the sunglasses, the fake bicep suit and if I see
him backstage coaching again, we're going to be bumped that
band of one year. Also, that's a nice fake
mustache. Did he steal that from Menace,
(02:11:03):
Johnny Tarr, Avanox, Cypress, Daywind and Nico?
Team Pickleball has entered the group posing category under the
title Flex and Paddle. Use a pickleball paddles as
props. Weirdly elegant.
Just remember, if you drop 1 during your routine, it's an
automatic point deduction unlessyou can play it off with a
(02:11:27):
powerful pose. Drown TNU 2 point O and Tim AKA
Heart U3 are still in training mode and it shows.
I've seen the sweat, the grunting and the chalk clouds
and three man mirror prep talks.Just remember, this is a gym.
(02:11:48):
Don't go too hard or I'll have to enter the comp last minute.
Just to remind people who built this temple of glory.
Well, that's it folks. That's your contestants.
Thanks again to everybody here in the auditorium.
Family keep lifting, flexing andoccasionally glowing unnatural
(02:12:10):
energy. The competition is coming.
Stace wool drill out.
