We all want to climb the mountain but what happens when you get there and realize all the things you thought you would find at the top are missing ? Brandon Lilly is a world champion powerlifter and accomplished traditional bow hunter who can answer this question. At one point Brandon could bench press over 800 lbs and squat over 1,000 lbs. Those are insane amounts of weight and Brandon was one of the best. However, he found that his pursuit of these records left him self-focused and feeling empty and alone. It wasn't until Brandon faced a career-ending injury that he found healing in the outdoors as well as having the right group of people around him. The real joy is the journey and surrounding yourself with the kind of people who will take "the 3 am phone call" ..... and there aren't many of them. We also discuss why Brandon was drawn to traditional bowhunting and the role that plays in his life now.
