Bio:

Dr Barbara Yawn Dr Barbara Yawn (MD MSc FAAFP) is Professor of Family and Community Health at the University of Minnesota, having retired as Director of Research at the Olmsted Medical Center and as Chief Science Officer of the COPD Foundation, USA. She is the Editor-in-Chief and Founding Editor of Respiratory Medicine Case Report Journal. Dr Yawn began her career in rural family medicine, moving on to found a research programme at the Olmsted Medical Center. She has served on numerous US national guideline panels. She has published over 400 peer-reviewed articles, several books and book chapters and is a frequent speaker at respiratory conferences in the US and internationally.
