I still was had difficulty with men, still notconnecting with men. And then at 41, I was
like, I still believe in get 41. I'm still bingingand purging and I was like, okay, you need
to get a handle on this or you're gonna die.

(00:29):
Because he said to me, how old were you whenthis was happening? And I said, I was 12 when
it ended. And he said, who do you know that's12 years old? And I thought of my niece. And
he said, do you think she thinks like an adult?Do you think she reasons like an adult? She's
a little girl. You were a little girl.

(00:53):
You know Pig Pen from Snoopy? You know Pig Pen,he's got the dirt swirling around him all the
time. That's what my dark cloud was. It literallywas there all the time. I would go to bed,
it was there. I would wake up, it was there.And it was just this overwhelming shame all
the time. So when I was in situations whereI was in a room and I was, you know, the life

of the party, having fun, all the things, thecloud wasn't there. It was there, but it wasn't
there. When I was alone with my own thoughts,that's when the cloud would really be looming.
