The Restrainer is the Holy Spirit. His New Covenant ministry (as the "Comforter" who indwells believers, initiating each one into the Body of Christ, the Church) will be suspended for the duration of the Day of the Lord. The promises given to "Overcomers" in the seven churches of Revelation chapters 2 & 3 prove that the Indwelt Church must be removed to fulfill those Promises. II Thessalonians 2:7b
