Es la quinta entrega de la franquicia Mad Max de Miller y la primera que no se centra en el protagonista de la serie, Max Rockatansky, sino que actúa como una precuela de Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) y una historia de origen para el personaje de Fury Road, Furiosa. Plot: La historia del origen de la guerrera Furiosa antes de su encuentro y asociación con Mad Max.
