End-of-year reflection is everywhere right now — and honestly, a lot of people are tired of digging. Tired of processing, reframing, and trying to extract one more lesson from a year that already asked a lot. Between the Winter Solstice, the New Moon in Sagittarius, and the Human Design Sun in Gate 10, this episode offers a different instruction altogether: tend to what’s living.

We talk about why the longest night was never meant ...

Let’s be honest: the holidays can bring out the best in people… and the most unhealed version of everyone at the table. You walk in as the adult you’ve worked hard to become and walk out wondering why you just played therapist, peacemaker, or designated scapegoat. In this episode, we get brutally honest about the Drama Triangle — the Victim, Rescuer, and Persecutor roles — and why even the most self-aware adult can get sucked into ...

December brings a powerful shift in orientation — the kind that doesn’t announce itself loudly but quietly reveals what the entire year has been shaping in you. The month opens with a clarifying Gemini Full Moon, a Mars–Saturn reality check, and Neptune lifting out of retrograde, clearing just enough of the fog for insight to land. Mercury’s opposition to Uranus delivers breakthrough understanding, and the final sweep of the Water ...

If you’ve been feeling the pressure of the season — the noise, the urgency, the “shoulds,” the endless decisions — this episode will land right where you are. We’re talking about something most people never consider during the holidays: how Black Friday quietly hijacks your energy and pulls you out of your own inner authority.

In this conversation, we explore why high-pressure sales cycles activate the Not-Self, why even the most g...

If you’ve been feeling ungrounded, disconnected, or like you’re carrying everything on your own, this episode will meet you where you are. We’re talking about the kind of spiritual support most people don’t even realize they need: a team of guides who help you feel steadier, clearer, and more anchored as you move through everyday life.

In this conversation, we explore why guidance has always been part of human experience, why so ma...

In this episode, I’m joined by fellow Celtic shamanic practitioner and intuitive healer Dani Smith for a grounded conversation about what it actually means to build a spiritual support team & how to practice safely in a world full of overwhelm and mixed messages.

Dani shares her path into Celtic practice, and how that shift helped her reconnect to her body, her inner seasons, and her own self-trust. She breaks down her “sacred ...

This episode continues our listener-favorite series on moving from doubt into intuitive clarity—but this time, we’re going deeper. We’re exploring the archetype of the North Star: the part of you that remembers who you’re here to become long before you feel ready to embody it.

We’ll look at the North Node through both astrology and Human Design—the signs, houses, gates, and lines that shape your soul’s direction—and how this energy...

In this conversation with my Celtic Shamanic practitioner peer Judy Crooknorth, we get real about what it takes to hold sacred space—without making clients carry our unfinished stories. Judy is a trained therapist and intuitive healer, and together we unpack the gritty middle ground where nervous-system repair meets soul work: how to tell when a pattern is emotional vs. spiritual, why discernment matters more than “quick fixes,” an...

November hums with electricity meeting water, emotion meeting revelation. Uranus dominates the sky, opposing Mars, Mercury, and Venus, shaking loose what’s become rigid while the Grand Water Trine softens what resists. It’s not chaos — it’s movement. Energy wants to flow again. Mercury’s retrograde from Sagittarius back into Scorpio turns the mind inward, and Saturn’s station direct in Pisces at month’s end grounds what’s been shif...

Everyone’s talking about “finding your voice,” but most people are forcing it. In Human Design, the Throat Center isn’t just about communication — it’s the bridge between energy and manifestation, where truth becomes sound and sound becomes creation.

In this episode, we explore how your voice moves through timing, not pressure — and how your Mercury placement reveals the unique way your truth wants to be expressed. You’ll learn why...

This episode takes an honest look at the myth of willpower — how we’ve been conditioned to measure our worth through effort — and what it really means to work with your energy instead of against it.

Through the lens of the Will Center — the heart of commitment, promises, and worth — we’ll explore how both defined and undefined Wills experience motivation, procrastination, and integrity differently. I share how the Will’s tribal cir...

This episode takes an honest look at doubt—how it disguises itself as logic, caution, or control—and what it takes to move beyond it into true intuitive clarity.

With the Sun moving through Gate 57 — Unease, Intuition, Clarity — we’ll explore how this frequency heightens instinct and tests self-trust. I share why this gate is deeply personal for me as someone who carries both Gate 57 and the 57-10 Channel of Perfected Form, and how...

October carries the energy of regeneration — less about spectacle, more about integration. Mercury’s move into Scorpio sharpens conversations to the bone while the Aries Full Moon lights a fire of bold clarity. Venus and Jupiter open a pocket of sweetness, then Venus shifts into Libra as Pluto turns direct, recalibrating relationships and surfacing transformation. The Sun’s tension with Jupiter reminds us that growth isn’t always a...

This episode takes an honest look at people-pleasing through the lens of Human Design. Where do we bend, over-correct, or shrink ourselves just to keep others comfortable — and what does it cost us?

With the Sun moving through Gate 18 — Judgment, Integrity, Perfection — we’ll explore how this energy reveals the fracture of pleasing others and the gift of standing whole. I share why this gate is personal for me and how your design a...

This episode dives into the September 21st Solar Eclipse in Virgo. With the Sun and Moon meeting in Gate 46 — the Gate of the Determination of the Self — this eclipse pulls us out of the mind and back into the body. It asks us to stop treating life like a burden to carry and start experiencing it as something alive in every step.

We’re standing at a culmination point, with the South Node close by, showing us the old Virgo habits th...

I’ve been wanting to weave more shamanic insight into the podcast, and this episode is the first step. In a polarized, chaotic world where real spiritual support often feels thin, tending your inner life matters more than ever. When you show up from a more healed place, everyone benefits.

This episode dives into the September 7th Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. With the Moon in Doubt opposite the Sun in Confusion, this eclipse isn’t here to hand us neat answers. It’s asking us to live inside the question — to notice where we grasp for certainty and instead lean into what we can feel, sense, and trust in our body.

We’re standing at a threshold moment where old cycles are dissolving and something new is quietly pressing thro...

September 2025 is a threshold month, defined by a Pisces Lunar Eclipse (Sept 7), a Virgo Solar Eclipse at 29° (Sept 21), Saturn retrograding back into Pisces, Mercury’s shift from Virgo into Libra, and the rumble of Uranus retrograde in Gemini shaking what we thought was stable. This isn’t about control — it’s about surrender, reorientation, and emergence.

Through the Human Design lens, we move from Gate 40’s resolve into Gate 64’s...

This episode dives into the August 23rd New Moon in Virgo — a Black Moon at zero degrees that marks a threshold reset.

With the Moon in Gate 59, the Gate of Intimacy, we’re moving through the Gene Key spectrum of Dishonesty → Intimacy → Transparency. Virgo’s call for refinement collides with a square to Uranus in Gemini, shaking up neat plans and breaking down the walls we’ve built around closeness.

We’ll explore what this lunation...

This episode cuts through the mystique around the Human Design Incarnation Cross — the life theme you’ve been living all along, whether you’ve named it or not.

With roots in your conscious and unconscious Sun/Earth gates, the Cross isn’t a cosmic job title or a prescriptive “purpose.” It’s the background frequency of your design — and the way it expresses depends on your Type, Profile, and the Quarter you’re in.

We’ll break down wh...

    The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
