É administradora da Rádio Sol Mansi e é a criadora da cooperativa de mulheres "Bontche", que confeciona acessórios e vestuário. Ivone Gomes é uma referência do empreendedorismo na Guiné-Bissau, e é também uma mulher com deficiência. A história começa numa injeção mal dada quando tinha 4 anos, e até hoje vê as dificuldades vividas: "As minhas amigas com deficiência têm de pedir esmola. As famílias não aceitam estas crianças porque as vêem como inúteis", conta. Uma conversa sobre discriminação, mas também sobre o privilégio de ter estudado, sobre a ligação à costura e sobre construir uma empresa de sucesso.
