your strength is not in your hair.
We're gonna talk about Samson,
this is grace.
Great.
Imagine this scene for just a moment.
Samson and Delilah are on a date,

(00:21):
candles are burning,
Barry white is on the radio and romance is in the air.
But tonight instead of getting some kisses,
Sampson will get a haircut.
Delilah slides over and begins to whisper,
tell me where your strength comes from.

(00:41):
Samson says something so profound.
A razor has never come upon my head.
For I have been a Nazaret from my birth when I read that recently,
the spirit brought this question to my thinking terry,
do you hear the religious pride?
I I am a nasa right to God from my birth.

(01:03):
If I am shaved,
I shall become weak question.
Who told him that?
Who told him that?
No 1?
The Lord did not tell him that the angel of the Lord,
He didn't say that to his parents.
Sampson said it and Sampson was wrong.

(01:25):
There is not one place in scripture that says his strength came from his hair.
Please get this truth.
It wasn't the haircut.
It was when Sampson put faith in his hair to produce God's power.
That's when power left him.

(01:45):
Mm hmm.
Here is an empowerment truth.
We never,
ever need to forget the moment you put trust in your flesh to produce God's power in your life is the moment God's power becomes inactive in your life.
God cannot flow his power to us or through us.

(02:08):
If we are depending on works of the flesh.
You want to know where Simpson's strength came from every time Sampson did something awesome.
It was because of one reason the spirit of the Lord came upon him.
That's it.
Period No more.
No less.
And you know what produced that.

(02:29):
It's found in Judges 13 24 it says.
And the child grew and the Lord blessed him.
The blessing of the Lord did this grace grace on steroids.
If there was ever a man in the old testament who walked in the Grace of God.
It was Samson.

(02:50):
This cat slept with nearly everything under the sun.
God still used him.
But the moment Sampson declared,
it's my hair.
Oh yes,
I I am a Nazaret.
I am a baptist.
I am a methodist.
I am Pentecostal spirit field.
I've never allowed a razor to touch my head.

(03:11):
Blessed God never smoked a cigarette,
never tasted beer.
I show up for church every time the doors are open boom,
trusting in his flesh is when God's power became inactive.
I believe when Samson was in prison working as a slave,

(03:31):
after the Philistines had plucked out his eyes.
He began to remember those glory days and it hit him.
It hit him every time I did something great.
It was when the Spirit of the Lord came upon me.
It was because of God's grace.

(03:53):
And yes,
it does say that his hair began to grow back.
But it doesn't say that's when his strength came back,
as I've heard it preached for many years.
and as I had thought,
that's what it said,
that is not what it says.
His supernatural strength didn't come back to him until he prayed his last prayer standing between the two pillars of the temple.

(04:14):
More than 3000 people were gathered there and he said,
Lord,
I pray you strengthen me one more time,
let your spirit come upon me one more time.
And did you know this kind of teaching it infuriates the religious crowd.
You know why?
Because it strips them of the reward of boasting in their flesh.

(04:37):
But I think I'm gonna join the apostle paul and say I only boast of one thing that is jesus christ and him crucified.
He is my strength,
he is my hope.
