Cyn Huang is socialist activist from the United States who visited Australia in September for the #Ecosocialism2025 conference.
Huang joins the Green Left Show to discuss the process of building the socialist movement in the USA, the relationship between the Democratic Socialists of America and the US Democratic Party, and the links between the DSA and figures like Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Huang is based in Berkeley, California and has served as the Co-Chair of the Young Democratic Socialists of America and Head Steward in United Autoworkers Local 2865. They are a member of Bread and Roses, a Marxist democratic socialist tendency in DSA, with members in various labour unions and campuses across the country and 3 city councillors.
