How We Seeez It! Episode 279 Monty Python and the Holy Grail
“Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.” Dennis. This month’s anniversary episode is possibly one of the greatest sketch comedy movies of all time. While also so quotable, most people know at least a few even if they have never seen the movie. So, at 50 years old did the Holy Grail hold-up? Did the low-budget story of King Arthur and his knights still keep us entertained? We cover our thoughts on it and there is so much to talk about in this one, so join us for the discussion and don’t forget about our cocktails for this episode. Should be some good ones.
As always, mix a drink, have a listen, and let us know what you think. Or if there is something you watched that we might enjoy or a can’t miss series. Also please rate and review show on all your favorite podcast apps.
Drinks for the Episode
"The Green Anointing of Ye Shaky Cup" as read by Brother Maynard's brother from the Book of Libations 3 parts gin — For the juniper doth lead the way, and lo, it hath a kick most righteous. 3-quarters part lemon juice — Squeezed by the hands of the meek, who were told it was a rite of passage, but were in fact just interns. 3-eighths part honey syrup — The golden nectar of the bees, who were not consulted but are buzzing with pride regardless. 3-twelfths part Green Chartreuse — And they were stumped, for they knew not why it was not simply called a quarter, but the number three was sacred, and so it remained. 3 ice cubes — No more, no less. For five is right out, and two shall not chill the spirit sufficiently. One sprig of thyme — Plucked from the Holy Garden for garnish and for confusing the uninitiated.
