Before her chancellorship, she held key leadership positions within the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS), including Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Services. Her extensive background also includes roles as Provost of Delgado Community College City Park Campus, Dean of Workforce Development and Education, Assistant to college Presidents, and adjunct faculty member.
In the aftermath of Katrina, Dr. Montgomery-Richard's expertise became instrumental in guiding organizations through rebuilding efforts. She adeptly assesses organizational, cultural, management, and leadership challenges, developing strategic solutions to address core business and workforce needs.
Dr. Montgomery-Richard earned her B.A. in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Public Administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of New Orleans.
