(00:02):
Hey everybody, it's Graham and it's Friday, which means today
we get to bring you another trending clip this week, Clayton
Kershaw. The clip you're about to hear is
trending on our Instagram right now.
Hope you enjoy faith. You know, you never seem like
we're fully interested in faith when you were younger and that

(00:27):
started to change is you got older.
Yeah. Well, you know, I think, you
know, I think for me, you know, you grew up in Dallas and we
grew up in Highland Park, this awesome community.
And, you know, I think you call it, everybody kind of calls
themselves a Christian around here.
And so I I started doing the same thing.
I was like, Oh yeah, I'm a Christian.
And, you know, I went to church on Sundays and kind of did all
the things. But, you know, I don't think it

(00:49):
was until probably like junior, senior, sophomore, maybe
sophomore year, sophomore, junior year that I was really
like, well, what is this? You know, what is Jesus?
What does this really mean to me?
You know, what is this Jesus guyall about?
And, you know, I didn't want to just keep calling myself that
without having some type of knowledge.
So I wouldn't until I started asking myself those questions
that, you know, I really startedto make, you know, my faith, my
own. And, you know, really kind of

(01:10):
gave kind of gave control over to him.
And that was that was a big stepfor me for sure.
You know, I all all the things that I do, all this baseball
stuff, you know, everything in Africa, all the charities is all
that stuff is all great. But the ultimate glory is not
for us. You know, we're not here to try
and try and gain accolades for ourselves and gain fame and all

(01:31):
this stuff. I think, you know, the reason
that we play baseball and I get to do interviews like this is to
understand that, you know, God gave us all these opportunities
to glorify him. And I think that's that's,
that's kind of what it's all about.
You have a favorite Bible passage.
Yeah, it's, I say it's Colossians 323.

(01:54):
Whatever you do, work at it withall your heart is if you're
working for the Lord, not for men.
And you know, I'm not a, I'm nota Bible scholar or anything like
that. I do, you know, I do, I can't
quote as many verses as I shouldbe able to, but that's one for
me that really hits home because, you know, it shows that
God's going to give you the tools and he's going to give you

(02:15):
the abilities. But it's up to you to work at
it. And it's up to you to cultivate
that and glorify him through what you do.
And that is, you know, so ultimately all that work you put
in for baseball, all that work you put in for Kershaw's
challenge, you know, you do it because you want to, but
ultimately you do it for him. Before you leave, here's a quick
shameless plug. Please follow us at Graham
