(00:24):
Well, hey guys, good morning, like I said,
been a little behind here with catching up
with our new platform and some little technical
challenges that we've been having with switching to
the new service.
Been moving pretty smoothly, but again, there's always
little challenges when you switch services and things
like that.
So again, things will obviously get very good
(00:47):
and much better.
It's great to have you here.
And had to do a few recordings today
because some of the challenges we had, so
that's why it's been a little long.
We had the tech show today, we had
episode six, and we had episode seven, which
is what's right now.
So good morning, everyone.
This is John C.
Worley.
It's great to be with you.
If you are new to Inspirations for Your
(01:09):
Life, I want to take this opportunity to
welcome you to the show.
If this is your time that you're coming
back, well, welcome back.
If you're thirsty, feel free to go get
a beverage or a snack or something like
that or what have you and come on
back to the show.
After the show, don't forget to check out
BelieveMeAchieved.com for more of my amazing, of
(01:31):
course, inspiring creations.
Without any further ado, what do you say
we get this show kicked off?
Sounds good to me.
All right, everyone.
So I want to take this opportunity, everyone,
to basically let you know that Inspirations for
Your Life, this is basically season four.
(01:53):
And interesting thing about season four is that
we are in a pretty good show.
We are on episode number seven.
So the way this works, as you guys,
for those of you that are maybe new
or don't know the show, on Friday, we
have our day seven.
This is actually Friday's show.
So again, welcome everyone to the show.
(02:16):
Our granular topic is kindness and integrity last.
Welcome back to Inspirations for Your Life, the
podcast that helps you see the world through
a new lens.
I'm your host, John C.
Morley, a serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video
producer, coach, and much, much more.
(02:38):
I bring you thought-provoking ideas and stories
to help you live a more inspired, intentional,
and of course, fulfilling life.
Today or tonight, we're exploring a powerful truth,
which I think is a very important one.
And this has to do with something that
a lot of people don't recognize.
(02:58):
And that is the whole fact that it's
about kindness.
It's about integrity.
And I think that's something that's important.
And so maybe when you think about these
points and you think about what they mean,
hopefully they are going to resonate with you.
(03:19):
I mean, I'm hoping they will.
But then again, you know, sometimes, you know,
people do things just for the moment.
And those moments are sometimes confusing for people,
right?
I think the reason they're confusing is we
(03:41):
get into this, how can I say?
We get into this path and we don't
always know how to do it.
And so what I want to tell you
is that, you know, you can do this
(04:01):
stuff, but you just have to realize that
it comes down to you and who you
are.
And so sometimes somebody else might tell you
that you can't.
But really, guys, you can.
Your belief creates your reality.
(04:28):
And what we see around us is perceptions,
right?
In case you guys didn't know, it's perceptions.
And these perceptions are sometimes things that maybe
are about things that maybe you don't quite
(04:49):
understand, right?
Maybe.
But then again, you do something like, John,
I don't know why this is working that
way or why this is happening that way.
I think the biggest challenge for a lot
of people is that they have a perception
(05:09):
of what something should be, but then they
just don't follow through either because they're lazy
or because somebody close to them has said,
you know, you don't need to do that.
And I think those are problems for a
lot of people.
So you have to be your own.
(05:31):
You have to be your own person, right?
I think that's a big given.
And so what I want to say to
you guys is that kindness is remembered long
after words are forgotten.
People may forget exact advice you've given them,
but they rarely forget how you made them
(05:51):
feel.
That is the key, guys.
A small act of kindness, a smile, a
thoughtful gesture, or a word of maybe positive
encouragement can remain in someone's memory for years,
maybe forever.
When paired with integrity, your kindness carries even
more weight because people sense it's authentic.
(06:14):
It's not route.
It's not robotic.
It's not looking for something.
It's not performative.
So these are genuine moments that create connections
that last really a lifetime.
Number two, guys, integrity builds unshakable trust.
(06:36):
Trust is one of life's most valuable yet
fragile commodities.
Integrity ensures that people can rely on you
and that your word has weight and that
your actions match your promises.
If they don't, you're going to damage your
(06:56):
reputation.
I'm just going to tell you that right
up front.
Maybe you're trying to go for the get
-go, but maybe then again, you can't.
So you want to always live with integrity.
I think that's a very, I mean, that's
very, I think it's a very, very important
thing is that you live, you know, you
live with integrity and by living with integrity,
(07:16):
that's a real important point.
So while shortcuts or dishonesty may offer a
temporary advantage, or maybe you think it does,
only consistent integrity fosters trust that withstands time,
conflict, and change.
(07:37):
So kindness multiplies beyond you.
And when you act with kindness, okay, the
effects rarely stop at the original.
And I mean the original recipient.
So one kind act can spark a chain
(07:59):
reaction as, I don't know, the person who
experiences it, passes it on to others.
There's sometimes a day and they call it
a random acts of kindness day or world
kindness day.
And that's a day when you try to
do good things for people in the hopes
that they're going to want to pass them
on.
Not because they have to, but because they
(08:21):
should feel like doing it.
All right.
That's important.
Combined with integrity, this effect grows exponentially.
When people sense that you're full of sincerity,
your kindness spreads in ways that ripple far
(08:41):
beyond your immediate awareness.
And I think that's important for everyone to
understand.
Number four, guys, integrity means doing right when
no one is watching.
Now it's easy to do things right when
people are watching because people are watching you.
But do you act in the same manner,
with the same integrity, with the same character,
(09:03):
the same trust, when people are not watching
you?
Character is tested in the unseen moments of
our lives.
Integrity isn't about showing off morality.
It's about choosing the right path, even when
nobody notices it.
So these unseen choices shape your reputation and
(09:27):
your self-respect, forming a foundation that lasts
for decades.
Living with integrity allows you to navigate life
with peace of mind and quiet confidence.
Number five, guys, kindness breaks down the walls
and really installs very long, very steady, powerful,
(09:54):
and endearing bridges.
That's the great thing about it.
Conflict, division, and misunderstandings are common in life.
Yet kindness has, well, it has the power.
To often soften our hearts and open doors
(10:15):
that might have otherwise remained closed.
When coupled with integrity, kindness isn't manipulative.
It's genuine, and it encourages collaboration, understanding, and
(10:39):
empathy, even in challenging situations.
So integrity turns small actions into lifelong impact.
Small choices matter, especially when they are consistent.
Number six, and backed by principles, being punctual,
(11:04):
keeping promises, and owning mistakes may seem minor
to some, but over time, these actions, they
build.
They build.
And when I say they build, that's pretty
(11:27):
impressive.
They build credibility and respect.
And respect.
Integrity transforms these small acts into a legacy
that ensures beyond fleeting successes.
(11:51):
Number seven, guys, kindness fuels resilience.
It's like a superpower.
Life will challenge us day in and day
out, but kindness, both received and given, can
strengthen our capacity to endure.
See, when you exude kindness, it's like throwing
(12:16):
a boomerang.
It comes back to you.
If you don't show kindness, that comes back
to you too.
But I'd much rather receive kindness coming back
to me.
Genuine kindness encourages perseverance and fosters emotional support.
(12:39):
When combined with integrity, kindness becomes a reliable
anchor, helping both the giver and the receiver
navigate life's storms.
And I think that's a powerful thing that
a lot of people miss.
They don't realize that the reason we fall
into storms isn't because somebody is, I'm going
(13:01):
to say, better or worse than you.
They fall into these storms because they learn
a lesson.
And these lessons have the potential to teach
us things.
And if we skip the lessons, then we're
going to be really sorry.
Number eight, guys, integrity earns respect always without
(13:26):
demanding it.
That's important.
Respect built on authority, money, or titles is
extremely fragile.
Integrity commands respect naturally because people recognize consistency
and authenticity.
(13:47):
Living with integrity ensures that your influence isn't
temporary, but it's enduring.
It's built on actions and values rather than,
well, position.
(14:07):
Number nine, kindness.
Kindness is a real powerful, super universal language.
No matter what culture we're in, the religion
or the region of the world or the
language we speak, kindness is understood by everyone.
(14:30):
A helping hand, a compassionate gesture, or a
simple smile transcends barriers.
Integrity reinforces this, ensuring that your kindness is
(14:50):
genuine.
When we try to take a shortcut for
kindness, it always backfires.
Which makes it even more impactful across communities.
So we want to do it from our
heart and make pure connections.
We never want to use kindness to manipulate
other people.
Because what happens then is those people will
(15:12):
then be like, I don't trust you.
I don't want to be around you.
Number 10, integrity makes leadership.
Real, true leadership is influenced through action and
(15:33):
example, not authority.
Leaders with integrity inspire loyalty, trust, and cooperation.
When coupled with kindness, leadership becomes a transformative,
but not just directive, way that shapes our
(15:53):
lives and organizes us in profound ways.
Number 11, guys, kindness.
Kindness heals wounds.
Money can't.
Emotional pain, loss, and grief cannot be fixed
(16:14):
with wealth or power.
Kindness, however, has the capacity to soothe and
heal.
Very important.
Integrity ensures that this kindness is honest and
lasting, rather than a fleeting gesture, offering genuine
(16:35):
emotional support when it matters most is key,
folks.
Number 12, integrity always builds consistency.
And consistency builds legacy.
A single act of honesty is good.
But integrity, ah, amazing.
(17:00):
Integrity practiced consistently creates a lasting legacy.
It's the repeated principled decisions day after day,
year after year, that define how people remember
(17:20):
you.
Legacy isn't built in a moment.
It's built in integrity.
And it's sustained over time.
Again, it's not manipulative.
It's not pressuring.
And I think those are important.
Nothing changes everything.
(17:41):
You don't need wealth to be kind.
Wealth is great for a lot of things,
but wealth doesn't teach us to be kind.
Or fame.
These are great things to have, but you
still need to have kindness.
You can have these things and not have
kindness.
If you have kindness and you have a
(18:02):
lot of money, well, you can share that
money.
You can help those that are less fortunate.
Yet even small gestures can profoundly impact others.
When those gestures are rooted in integrity, their
(18:23):
effects, well, they deepen.
Genuine kindness transforms all relationships, personal and business.
It helps us build trust and often leaves
a far greater impression than material gifts ever
(18:43):
could.
Number 14, guys, integrity.
Integrity keeps you grounded in the storms that
we pass in life.
But it's these storms that help us learn
so we don't pass through that way again.
When challenges arise, integrity acts as a compass.
(19:08):
It helps you stay centered, make principled decisions,
and maintain your moral bearings, even when pressure
seems to, well, build up.
Others may falter or compromise, but your integrity,
folks, anchors you, allowing you to navigate crises
(19:31):
with clarity and confidence.
Number 15, guys, kindness inspires others to rise
higher than they already are.
You can fly much higher than you probably
even knew you could.
Witnessing authentic kindness can motivate people to improve
(19:55):
themselves and want to lift up others.
One compassionate act can ignite, well, a ripple
effect of generosity and positive action, which is
what happens on Random Acts of Kindness or
National Kindness Day.
When kindness is paired with integrity, I'm going
(20:15):
to say this again, it sets a standard
of behavior that inspires lasting change.
Number 16, guys, integrity prevents regret.
Regret often comes from shortcuts, dishonesty, or selfish
choices.
(20:36):
Living with integrity reduces the likelihood of regret
because you can look back on your life
knowing your actions aligned with your values.
It brings inner peace, even when the outcomes
are, well, far from perfect.
(20:58):
Number 17, kindness bridges differences.
In a world full of divisions, kindness can
create connection where disagreement or conflict exists.
Approaching others with compassion allows understanding, fosters dialogue,
(21:23):
and builds bridges.
Integrity ensures this kindness is genuine.
Strengthening relationships built upon true trust and respect,
not manipulation, not power.
(21:46):
Number 18, integrity is the anchor in all
the storms that we pass through.
Life is unpredictable.
Integrity keeps you steady when uncertainty is around.
Betrayal, adversity happens to strike.
(22:08):
It ensures that you navigate challenges with ethical
clarity, maintaining, of course, a moral compass that
others can rely on and admire, right?
Number 19, kindness costs little but gives much.
(22:30):
Acts of kindness require minimal effort or expense,
but often yield the greatest returns in human
connection, influence, and of course, gratitude.
We can never forget gratitude.
We always want to be grateful for the
kindness we have or the kindness that people
share us.
And guess what?
(22:51):
There'll be more kindness and gratitude that'll come
back to us.
With integrity, these acts, guys, carry depth, meaning,
and true authenticity, amplifying their impact far beyond
the moment.
Number 20, kindness and integrity outlive us.
(23:15):
At the end of our lives, people won't
remember possessions, titles, or wealth that we have
had.
They'll only remember how we treated them and
made them feel, whether we were honest with
them and if we live with compassion.
These qualities are enduring.
They leave footprints that last for longer than
(23:37):
generations and fame and success or material wealth
or gain.
I'm not saying to not have these.
I'm just saying that before you can get
these, you need to live with kindness and
gratitude.
Kindness and integrity truly last forever, guys.
(24:01):
I know when you have the choice of
being kind, is it opening a door for
someone?
Is it, we used to say putting a
quarter in the meter.
Now you don't do that anymore.
Now you'd have to put your credit card
in.
Is it that?
Is it maybe helping somebody with their groceries
(24:23):
to the car?
Is it putting a smile on your face
so a stranger's day could be brightened up,
right?
Is kindness maybe making a homemade car and
giving it to someone in your family?
Is kindness spending time with the sick?
(24:45):
Is kindness just showing other people that you
care and not just care about the situation.
You want to care about them and the
way you care about them is by being
genuine, is by showing genuine interest, which is
what Dale Carnegie taught us a long time
(25:07):
ago.
Kindness and integrity are not optional, folks.
These are traits that we need to learn
and develop in our lives to be successful.
They are essential pillars for a meaningful life.
They will always inspire us.
They will heal and leave a lasting legacy
that transcends time, status, and circumstance.
(25:33):
Everything else fades, okay?
But the impact, ladies and gentlemen, of living
with kindness and integrity is eternal.
I know you're probably saying to me, John,
I'm tired of being kind or I'm too
young to be kind or I'm too old
to be kind.
You could always give yourself excuses to why
(25:55):
you don't want to be kind.
I think the real message is you're afraid
of being kind.
Maybe you think that being kind is being
soft.
You can still be kind and still be,
you know, in charge.
(26:18):
But kindness doesn't say you'll be a leader
that rules with a big stick.
Kindness says that you will lead people and
they will want to follow.
You won't manipulate them.
I think that's a hard thing for a
lot of people to grasp.
When you talk to them about kindness, and
(26:41):
I know I'm probably going to get a
dozen people responding back and say, Oh, John,
I love this show that you had about
kindness.
And it really resonated with me and blah,
blah, blah.
And this person, and I know she'd be
a great person because she wrote this book.
And although I'd love to hear from you,
I want to make sure that not just
you, but your guest is watching these shows,
(27:06):
at least one or two.
So if you tell me you've watched it
and they haven't watched it, don't reach out
to me yet because one of our requirements
is that you actually do watch the show.
All right, guys, I hope you have a
fantastic evening.
And I think next week will be better
with us getting on track with things.
(27:27):
So I thank you so much.
I hope you have a great rest of
your night or your morning.
And I'm going to catch you guys real
soon.
All right.
Be well, everyone.
