Morley, serial entrepreneur, yes, I am, and also
an engineer, marketing specialist, video producer, podcast host,

(02:34):
podcast coach, graduate student, and of course, a
passionate lifelong learner.
You know, guys, true leadership is ignited by
purpose.
I don't know if you know that.
It's ignited by purpose and passion, shaping not
just our journey, but the lives we influence
daily.
In this episode, I'm going to help you

(02:56):
explore how vision, authenticity, and decisive action transform
teamwork, fueling of achievement and lasting change.
It's not about accolades.
It's about leading with heart and believing impact
begins within.
Let's uncover the secret to motivating others and
elevating every team.

(03:18):
You can, of course, connect with me after
the show, guys, at BelieveMeAchieve.com.
That's where you can get my short-form
content, my long-form content, my reels, replays
of this show, replays of other shows, so
that you can get some great podcast wisdom,
leadership success, hear my inspirational stories, and much
more.
So let's get in our first point, all

(03:38):
right?
Purpose sparks real leadership.
True leadership starts with a clear purpose.
It's more than management.
It's the spark that launches every idea and
guides every step you take.
When your team understand why you do what

(04:02):
you do, every challenge becomes meaningful.
And your drive inspires those around you.
I think that's important to realize.
Number two, guys, passion.
Passion, passion, passion.
Passion is contagious.
Let it flow and show.

(04:23):
Passion lights up any group.
When leaders are energetic and enthusiastic, teams naturally
feel invigorated inside out.
Facing obstacles becomes exciting and giving up becomes,
well, unthinkable.
When everyone feels your spirited commitment to success,

(04:45):
they're going to want to just push even
more forward.
Number three, guys, inspire by living your mission
by being you.
Living your mission makes values tangible.
When you walk your talk, people notice and
they gravitate to your integrity.
Being the example each day motivates others to

(05:07):
embrace their possibilities and join you on a
journey worth taking.
Number four, lead with meaning, not just the
goals.
Meaning infuses every goal with a sense of

(05:28):
purpose.
People are energized when outcomes matter, not just
the numbers.
Uncover why objectives are important to you and
share that with your team members, making every
task part of something much bigger.

(05:49):
Number five, guys, vision, vision, vision, vision.
Vision brings people together.
A shared vision binds teams.
Painting a vivid picture of the future draws
out unity and shared commitment.

(06:10):
Even among diverse perspectives, whether tackling a huge
project or pursuing a new direction, vision is
the glue that keeps everyone moving forward together.
Number six, guys, number six is one of
my very, very big favorites, and it's one

(06:32):
that a lot of people miss.
And what is number six?
Number six is authenticity.
Yes, authenticity.
I don't know if you know this, guys,
but authenticity actually unlocks true motivation.
Authenticity unlocks true motivation.

(06:56):
People are inspired by leaders who are genuine.
Admitting your struggles, showing your true self, and
welcoming honest conversations builds lasting motivation.
Authenticity creates a sense of trust, opening the
way for fresh ideas and meaningful progress.

(07:19):
Number seven, guys, energy fuels high-performing teams.
Dynamic energy isn't just about the enthusiasm you
put out.
It's about more.

(07:40):
It's about cultivating an environment where everyone around
feels supported and, of course, very invigorated.
Your mood and your drive set the tone,
helping teams stay focused and able to reach
their true potential, even when things get, well,

(08:02):
a little bit frantic.
Number eight, guys, share your why every day.
Repeatedly sharing your core value and motivation keeps
people engaged.
When the team understands why their work matters,

(08:23):
each person stays invested and chooses to push
themselves further than they thought or dreamed was
possible.
I think that's a whole thing.
What's possible, guys, is nothing more than a
perception.
Yeah, a perception.

(08:44):
A perception, a perception.
Number nine, guys, uplift others with your excitement.
Your excitement is the pulse of your team.
Celebrate achievements and create an atmosphere of genuine
joy in every endeavor.

(09:07):
Daily enthusiasm can make even tedious work seem
fulfilling and worth celebrating.
So it's important that you celebrate the small
wins, the big wins, and you encourage your
team to do the same thing.
When it's somebody's birthday, celebrate their birthday.

(09:28):
Celebrate things that matter not just to you
but to everyone on the team.
And soon you'll find that the team will
celebrate the things you want to celebrate.
Number 10, guys, bold dreams attract bold followers.

(09:52):
Ambitious visions inspire teams to aim higher.
Big goals encourage big thinking, drawing, creative, confident
people who are ready to help make the
impossible possible.
I like to say you take the M
out of possible and make everything possible.

(10:13):
Number 11, guys, driven leaders build strong communities.
Great leaders focus on building connection.
And more than one connection but actually multiple
connections.
Thus mentoring, networking, and encouraging open, kind relationships.

(10:37):
A strong team isn't just a workplace.
It's a vibrant community that supports every member's
growth and resilience in a way that doesn't
discriminate for race, religion, sexual orientation, creed, color,
political party.
That's really important, guys.
Number 12, encourage growth by showing you care.

(11:02):
Care is the foundation.
It's the soil in which growth thrives.
Personal investment in your team's well-being breeds
loyalty and sparks innovation.
It's building a culture.
It's not just setting a standard.
The important thing you have to realize is

(11:23):
that this doesn't happen overnight.
But you have to start from the very
beginning because people are creatures of habit.
Choose to listen, mentor, and offer feedback every
chance you get.
Not just any feedback, consistent, constructive feedback.
That's feedback that people can actually use to

(11:45):
make changes to improve their lives.
Not feedback that you're ranting or raving that
you hate what they're doing or complaining.
That's not what we want.
Number 13, guys.
Lift spirits with unwavering belief.
Believing in others unlocks hidden potential.

(12:07):
What's my slogan?
BelieveMeAchieve.com.
It's no accident.
When challenges mount, express your confidence in the
team's abilities honestly and often.
Your belief will carry them through the difficulties

(12:27):
and inspire them to reach new levels.
Ones that they didn't think were even possible.
All because of your belief in them.
Why not give it a try?
I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised on
the outcomes you will see and receive.

(12:48):
Number 14, guys.
Number 14 is this.
Living your values inspires loyalty.
Consistency in values shows people you can be
counted upon.
Not just when things are good.

(13:09):
Uphold integrity in every decision that's made.
Respect diverse opinions and honor promises.
Loyalty will follow naturally, I promise you.
But if you're doing it to get the
result immediately, people are going to see that
you're being superficial and they're not going to

(13:29):
follow you.
I think that's a very, very important thing.
Very, very important thing.
Number 15, guys.
Number 15 is this.
Positivity powers peak performance.
Optimism is an optional for success, that is.

(13:54):
It powers it.
Face difficulties with positivity.
Showing your team that even setbacks are opportunities
for growth and creativity.
Number 16.
Leadership is action.

(14:14):
Not just words coming out of your mouth.
Lead with clear, consistent actions.
Each step you take affirms your message and
motivates others to want to follow you.
Demonstrated commitment inspires others much more effectively than

(14:36):
speeches or any memos you could ever give.
Number 17, guys.
Empower others and give them your trust.
Create space for growth by entrusting your team
with responsibility.
Encourage smart risks and support their decisions, fostering

(15:00):
independence and confidence that truly can fuel teams'
performance.
And that's something you have to be vested
in from the start.
Not just something you decide to do half
-winged.
Number 18, guys.
Challenge others to find their passion.

(15:24):
Help team members discover what excites them most.
Celebrate experimentation and curiosity, encouraging everyone to reach
for new dreams and possibilities.
Number 19, guys.
Number 19 is all about this.

(15:47):
Celebrate wins.
That's the big ones and, of course, the
small ones.
Never, never, never let achievement go unnoticed.
A simple celebration, even for small victories, recharges
morale and cultivates a positive culture of ongoing

(16:08):
success.
Why not celebrate your group's birthdays?
Everyone that has a birthday in this month,
celebrate it together.
Number 20, guys.
Consistency earns respect.
Being predictable in values and decisions gives your
team peace of mind.
When they know what to expect from you,

(16:31):
confidence just grows and respect deepens even more.
21, be the inspiration you seek.
Set the tone for your team with your
attitude and actions.
If you want inspiring workplace, start by embodying
that energy every day and start with yourself.

(16:55):
Number 22, guys.
Turn those setbacks into lessons for your team,
not just yourself.
Share your mistakes openly.
Help your team see that setbacks are simply
stepping stones toward bigger accomplishments.

(17:20):
Number 23, choose to listen deeply, lead bravely,
and make sure every member feels heard.
Combine deep listening with courageous decision-making, earning
loyalty, and thus driving results in your team.

(17:45):
Number 24, guys.
I can't stress this enough, but it's something
everybody needs to do.
A lot of people don't want to do
it because of that big EGO many people
have.
And that is stay humble.
Stay hungry.
Always look for the next opportunity to learn.
Don't let success breed complacency.

(18:08):
Level up your knowledge, drive, and authenticity daily.
Number 25, your fire lights others' paths.
Stay true to your purpose and share your
energy freely.
Teams thrive under leaders whose enthusiasm helps guide

(18:30):
them through uncertainty.
I'm going to say this, and I've said
this many times before.
Good leaders solve problems and challenges.
Those are good leaders.
Great leaders ensure that those problems or challenges
never happen.
How do they do that?
Well, a good leader, obviously, when there's a

(18:53):
problem, they take responsibility and accountability, and they
resolve it.
A great leader has their finger on the
pulse.
They know what everybody's feeling.
They know the team morale.
They know if something's starting to become an
issue, and they nip it in the bud
before it ever gets any steam.

(19:16):
That takes dedication.
That means you have to love your team.
I didn't say this was going to be
an easy thing, guys, but I said that
if you did the right work, that your
team would not only survive, but it would
thrive.
I can't tell you how many teams I've
been on, and they have this ego agenda.

(19:42):
An agenda that means that they basically are
better than you or I.
That's no way to be when you're on
a team, maybe even on a sports team.
I remember in grammar school, because starting out,
athletics was something I was still developing.

(20:05):
I remember that I would not get picked
often, first, until the very end.
I remember this great gym teacher, coach, that
taught me in grammar school with another lady.

(20:26):
He was very cognizant of what these other
kids were doing.
He basically told them, you keep doing this,
and it's going to affect your grade.
Because he wanted the students to know that
winning isn't just about having the top athletes

(20:48):
on your team, but building a team of
high morale.
That was an interesting thing for me.
From then on, I got picked early, because
everybody wanted to have a better grade.
Who got to become team captains?
Usually the athletes.
Then something changed after that class.

(21:09):
People that were not normally team captains became
team captains.
Then the ball was in our court.
Who did we want to pick?
Did we want to pick the big athletes?
Did we just want to pick other people
on the team?
It was interesting how that card play changed

(21:31):
the whole dynamic of how badly they wanted
to be on our team, and how it
felt to maybe wait until the last moment
to be picked.
Number 26, passion plus purpose creates unstoppable drive.
P plus D equals unstoppable drive.

(21:59):
Passion plus purpose, P plus P, equals unstoppable
drive.
Combining clear goals with excitement makes teams unstoppable.
Moving faster and striving higher with each success.

(22:21):
I think any team can be successful if
you embrace the dynamics of the team.
If you embrace the dynamics of the team.
That's important, guys.
That's really, really important.

(22:42):
Number 27, lead with heart and watch others
soar.
Empathy and kindness prompt others to exceed their
own expectations.
A heart-driven team will always reach new
heights.
I think that sense of purpose, that newness

(23:05):
of the team, helps in the beginning.
You've got to remember the dynamic doesn't just
end there, guys.
It has to keep continuing on and on
and on.
If it doesn't, the team dies.
28, change the world.
And you can start by believing in them.
But before you can believe in them, you

(23:26):
first got to believe in you.
This is why my slogan is BelieveMeAchieve.com.
Believe in me, and then you will achieve.
Trust and belief in each other's members' potential
sparks greatness.

(23:47):
A leader's unblinded faith for what they see
can be the beginning of massive change.
Now, I said unblinded faith because even though

(24:08):
they don't see it, they see it in
their mind.
It might be blind to everyone else, but
it's unblind to them because they see the
victory.
They see it in their mind.
The difference between successful people and non-successful
people is the successful people have already played
that run in their mind several times.
And they know how it's going to be

(24:29):
orchestrated in real life.
They've gone over it.
They've played it.
We talked about the basketball players, right, the
three sets of basketball players.
The one set that after school practiced every
day in the gym.
The other set that did nothing.
And the third set that practiced in study
hall in their minds, who had improvement.

(24:53):
The people that practiced every day and the
people that practiced in their mind were just
as good, if not better, than the ones
that practiced physically every day.
Because the same neurons and dendrites fired in
their bodies.
And the ones that did nothing, well, they

(25:13):
got nothing.
And that's pretty powerful when we can think
exercise and we can think activities.
And the muscles and the dendrites and the
tendons, they all fire in our bodies, even
if we're not physically doing any exercise.

(25:35):
That blew me away, guys.
It blew me away because that explains one
thing.
And that is that our thoughts create reality.
Our thoughts create reality.
And when I say our thoughts create reality,

(25:57):
I mean that what we think and believe
will be our reality.
That's a very, very important thing, guys.

(26:19):
Why is it so important?
Because it's our belief that makes something so.
You know, guys, letting go is not weakness.
It's wisdom.
I've been saying this all week, but I'm
hoping it'll sink in.
Letting go is not weakness.
It's wisdom.
It's choosing how to get the right help.

(26:41):
It's choosing how to surrender.
And surrendering has a beautiful way of surprising
us to finding those subtleties, to letting us
see those possibilities that we didn't even think
were possible.
That's powerful, guys.

(27:01):
I invite you to tune in every single
day to watch me either live or to
watch the replays at BelieveMeAchieve.com.
And allow me, John C.
Morley, to help you build an inspiring leadership
journey.
Again, visit BelieveMeAchieve.com.
Follow me on all social media.

(27:22):
And remember, guys, the choice to grow and
to elevate your life and to get knowledge
from this podcast and to have leadership success
and to have your own inspirational story is
not up to me.
It's up to you.
I can lead you to the water, but
you need to make the choice to actually

(27:43):
drink it.
I hope you have a great rest of
your day or a great rest of your
evening.
And remember, guys, moving others is key for
the success of your life.
And moving others by leading with purpose and
passion will definitely create an incredible success reality.
Have a good one, everyone, and be well.
