It's funny because I would always say last year, we didn't really have a winter.

So, yeah. So we nice and toasty at home.
Well, before we get started, I just want to say we've been telling y'all about
this secret that we have.

Listen, guys, you know, when you meet good people, you hold on to them. And that's just simple.
One of our childhood friends from high school, he has a radio station and he
has invited us to be a part of it.

So we are WTYJ and listen, let me pull it up because I do not want to say the wrong thing.
Please don't. I'm not trying to say the wrong thing. So listen,
it is called, well, his FM station is called, let me pull it up.

So I'm just trying to get back into doing some of my church activities that
I used to do prior to the pandemic. So I'm excited about that.

So let's talk about this Taraji P. Did you see The Color Purple?
Yes. And I don't know about y'all. Some people did not like it.
I loved it. And that's okay.

But I absolutely loved it. Because I love musicals.
It did. I saw it twice. I have seen it twice.
I've seen it twice, but I've seen it. But the sad thing is all the drama behind
the scene is overshadowing the darn movie.
And nobody knows if she's talking about this particular movie.

But Taraji came out and, you know, she came out and she was very heartfelt.
She came and listen, you guys let us know what you're thinking about what we're

Some people thought she was faking it. I don't think she was faking it.
I think the tears were real. I just think she was tired.
She's tired. They're not being paid the
as much as their counterparts and you

know that's something that we've had to deal with all
over the place and even though we know some people say what you say some people
say oh she's making millions and i i don't want to hear her complaining well
she's just got a job that's paying more than yours right right i think we've
all felt undervalued and underpaid on our jobs sometimes.

I can say as a therapist, shoot, I don't feel like I'm getting paid enough.
You could say what you do. You don't feel like you're getting paid enough and
that's okay. That's how I feel.
I know my value. I know my worth. And she's kind of saying the same thing,
but she's gotten to the point.
Did you hear her say a couple of times that she almost gave up because she felt
like she wasn't, she put in the hard work to study in the reader lines.

Probably. I, you know, know it takes a lot of time to act and it's not like
us we can just show up on their job they have to prepare you know for it is it just me?
Did you see in the movie, she made you feel that.
Some movies you go to and you're like, I ain't quite feel that.

But she made you feel like she was that person. When you're in a movie,
you're supposed to take me on an adventure.
Make me feel it. And she did. She embodied that role.
She was Shug Avery. She was definitely, and then as the original.
Yeah. And then she had to learn her lines, learn the song, sing the song. That's a lot.

I didn't know she could sing like that, but you read her book.
She does talk about, she used to sing back in the day. She has a really good
book that I've been reading too.
I think it's called Round the Way Girl or something like that.

I'm not mad at her for speaking up because somebody has to do it at some point

And because Monique is brash and, you know, people really she's not as likable as a Taraji.

and how she took this I felt like she took this opportunity to bash Oprah and
to get back at Oprah again which I can't we don't know if it was Oprah from

what Taraji saying is when she told Oprah and she let Oprah know what's going
on Oprah fixed the problem immediately.
But people are taking this opportunity to drag Cora Oprah. She probably said,
what the hell I got to do with it?
I'm a producer but I ain't bringing in the money. You got to ask Warner Brothers
or one of the other producers on there.
But they were there. The trailers were subpar. They didn't have any food.

They got rental cars. They had to drive themselves to work. You know.
I allegedly, listen, don't sue me. I'm I'm telling you what I think. Do I think it was Oprah?

not getting paid as much but is tyler perry and oprah winfrey's production company

She did all that huffing and puffing and that network was trash.
That network special was trash. You couldn't get past all the cussing.
It was just so much cussing, so much stuff. Like, yeah, she got a special.

But the one thing that I have learned, the older I got, is that people listen
to me if I come to them and I say, granted, everybody don't have to do this. But we know what it is.

When I come to you and I said, Red, Sherita, I got a problem. I just need some help.
Can you help me through this? Can you help me understand why this is the way it is?
Are you going to accept that versus me saying, girl, I need to talk to you because this ain't right.

You know, they say you get more of a honey than you do with straight.
Man, this is how you come about.
That's right. Right. And I hate that it, you know, it's real.
Monique experienced it. Should we have listened?

that to see that a person is really hurt. Right.
But Diana Taraji said it.
You know, then we got old girl getting off the airplane, like you said.
Vivacle thoughts. Yeah, it's like, yeah, I support the sister,
but I ain't have that problem.
You ain't know Taraji, but we didn't ask you that.

So if you, it was like it was no empathy for her, like no kind of understanding
because I don't have them type problems.

I ain't making that. I feel like if, like, for instance, if you are at this

level, and I've always been at this level, I don't know what to expect.
I don't know if I'm not making enough money or not.
It's only when I sit down and have a conversation with you that I learn, you're making what?
But if I know I'm not making those kinds of movies, I'm not going to expect that kind of money.

So yeah she's still in love with 50 Cent so what do you expect,

Vivica I'm telling you she just on her upcoming unsung she still talking about
how she was still in love with 50 Cent or he was in love with her life like

so what do you expect you can't get over this sometimes you can't let go of
that love in your life that one who rocked your world stop playing I mean you know.

to work to get to that point i think what took Baby Girl
shoot Baby Boy Baby Boy but that was her breakout where Baby Boy was more for
us what really got her out there was that Benjamin Button that she played with

Brad Pitt but she was like she only got $150,000 for that and he got like absolutely crazy,
but yeah war winning movie she in playing this character,
Yeah. Vivica was definitely wrong.
You know, you hit me. Felicia, I'm having a hard time finding a man.

But, you know, that's kind of like what she said. I don't have them type problems, right?
No empathy or anything for her. but you know the problem with us and i'm gonna
say with us not all of us because some of us can show empathy even though we're

It's not a lot of us there. So, you know, we all fighting.
They are, they are fighting for some of the same roles.
And the other thing is she said she had to find her whole team.
Like I was going to say, who's advocating because 50, 50 said was saying that

he advocated for Mary J to give her what she wanted for power.
So Mary J is getting paid good money. He got stars to pay her good money,
but she had to find her whole team
so you're not pushing you're not getting any more roles i
think she said the cooking lions was the last role
she had and and that's the last thing that you want to get is like typecast

in a role like that very very true i'm sorry guys my life cut off for some reason
go ahead that's the last thing that you want to do is like get typecast and
be in this type of role. But she said the roles weren't coming.
You know, she's an A-list celebrity, but the roles weren't coming in.
She's like, mm-mm, let me fire my whole team and you know, start over, start fresh.

And then she started getting a little bit more roles.
I don't know what just happened to my life.
It's hard to be in the dark for me. But let's hopefully we'll get to see Taraji
on one of these power shows.
I hope so because she deserves it. She absolutely deserves it.

like Kevin Hart got about 10 jobs.
Steve Harvey got about 10 jobs. And the cannon had about 10 jobs.
Like it's, it's easier for the men, the African-American men to get jobs and roles, but I should win.

But Steve Harvey got like and I'm making this up. Steve Harvey got like seven shows at one time.
I mean, give somebody else. Be a judge. Be a judge. Radio shows.
Radio shows. Yeah. They like who they like. I guess they like who they like, though.

Give somebody a hell of an agent that's out there advocating for him to get him these roles.
I'm sorry, guys. I was moving around. But for some reason, I think my light
overheated and it went out.
But yeah, listen, I am happy for any of our men or women that are doing what they need to do,

I'm happy for all of them. But sometimes I don't understand.
And Steve Harvey's just not that funny to me.
So how is he chosen for all of these roles?
Does he have to be funny or does he have to be likable? Because you can be likable and not be funny.

If you're a comedian, you should be funny. But he ain't been on stage recently.
He's not. He hasn't done it.

And so she denied it. Her sister denied it. They all over denying it.
Mind you, this is the same young lady that is the Little Mermaid and in Disney
and all this kind of stuff. So she is unmarried, but, you know,
this whole pregnancy allegation.

But come to find out, they just announced that she, in fact, did have a baby with her.
Boyfriend, DDG. I think he's some big internet sensation or a big internet influencer or something.
So why do you think, why do you guys think that she chose to keep her pregnancy a secret?

And did she have to do that?
Keep her pregnancy a secret? We don't have the same opportunities as other people.
We've seen others get pregnant, have drug issues they still get movies they
still they still you know unless they just,

lose it all the way and just you know can't function they still are able to work in Hollywood,
sometimes I think we got to walk the straight and narrow we can't make any mistakes
and I think she probably thought that and if those who have young daughters like Like,
if you found out that the little mermaid was pregnant,

you know, and your daughter say that and knowing that she's not married,
is that something that, you know, how would you guys feel?
But your daughter is not trying to be like her.
They want the little mermaid. And, you know, little kids, they don't know to
take the character, the person out of character, you know, but you should.

I don't know that I would have had a problem. No, do I want someone to be married
before they have their child? Absolutely.
But I can't say anything against her because I wasn't married before I had my child.
And a lot of us were not. It could have been her PR.

was scared and didn't know how to react at first yes all

and that's exactly what she said she did not want to be being stressed out and
what people going to think, what people going to say and that kind of stuff.
And when you're like a certain frame, you can hide that baby bump for a minute.

They're going to call you. They're going to put you in that position with who
they think you are. And you may not even be that person.

but based on the character you play.

That seemed to be the thing get a whole bunch of controversy going on and you
know and then hey a new show or hey I'm on tour there or a big interview coming out,

but all of this stuff came out in the same time frame. Bam, bam, bam, bam.
It's all about us. Yeah. We're trying to turn around and it's something else.

So that's what's really going on behind the scenes when he got his beard,

to be on a movie with a cruddy person man or woman nowadays and they may expect
you to do something a little extra I'm saying,

I know everybody loves money, but don't sell yourself short for that money.
Because in the end, you're going to have to sit back and think about what you did. Absolutely.

on to talk about, and I don't mind saying it. I'm 51 years old now.
I'm going through some stuff nobody told me about.
So I want to bring on, if anybody knows anybody that's willing to come on,
I want to bring on a female doctor.

are between the ages of 35 and 55
that's what our numbers say and our
35 year olds need to know what to expect because one
day you're gonna get hit and you're gonna be like oh my god am i dying what
is going on oh jesus somebody help me that's how i was i'm like oh my god i

went to the doctor the doctor said felicia you are experiencing a hot flash,
i said what is that what this feels like it felt like heat was coming from my
soul and just taking over my body i mean i was sweating like i was in 103 degree

weather out out here in Savannah in August.
Yeah. My mom may tell me about this.
Yeah, I get them a few times a day, too. And my mom didn't go through it because
she had the brain surgery.
So she didn't, her mind, her brain didn't go through the menopause.
But Lord, she... Don't think somebody would turn my brain off.

I don't get them as much. Well, I still get the little hot flashes,
but I went through night sweats. I don't get that.
Oh, my God, ladies. Have you experienced a night sweat?
My husband, he claimed you stay sick because I got the fan on all night.
(53:56):
I have to have the fan on. And then, oh my God, when I kick that foot out,
when I take that foot out from covers, oh boy, my dog will wake up.
Hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, up at three o'clock in the morning, look crazy.
Girl, I don't even need an alarm though. My body just automatically waking.

I'm like, listen, so we're going to find somebody that can come on and tell
us about that. And listen, you know, if you're not experiencing it, God bless you.
But we want to talk about this thing because we don't talk about it. We don't talk about it.
Our generation is talking about it.
But we ain't talking about it until it hit us.

We don't know. I didn't know. That type of the brown real you said that.
I'm like, yes, yes, yes. Yes, and include the brain fog, the memory,
the joint pain, all that stuff.
When I went through the brain, this is why, guys, let me show you something. Yeah.

This is why I have to have this. See this? It's called a planner.
And I have to write. I remember quite a bit, but I have to write everything down.
Because if I got too many things going on, I will forget, especially when my
daughter was here and I had her calendar and my calendar and inspire her calendar

and Winston Financial calendar,
my church calendar and my fund calendar.
People would say, oh, I had my Jack and Jill calendar, my Delta calendar.
I'm like, I can't remember all this stuff.
Yes, I can't. And the brain fog hit and that is real brain fog is real stuff

that you could run off like what is this who is that person.
What's the name of that book i can't remember nothing yeah that brain fog is
real we need to because this it it is medicine out there i choose not to take
it i'm doing mine the natural way and And it is helping me.

I no longer have night sweats.
So I want to get a doctor on and I want to get a nutritionist.
Actually, we're going to have a nutritionist on.
On the 26th, I believe she signed up. We're going to have a nutritionist on.
She's going to tell us about the benefits of juicing and all the different vegetables
that we need for brain function, for muscles, for weight loss,

for bodily functions, all kinds of things.
And that might help us come off of some of this medicine for blood pressure.
Because, you know, the God-given medicine is vegetables and fruits. You know that, right?
Herbs and sea moss. Sea moss. Even though people don't like it. People don't like it.

Sea moss. Sea moss is a huge benefit, but you got to know how to accept it.
It doesn't taste all that great.
I have a nutritionist who made mine kind of taste like applesauce a little bit.
But we're gonna try to we're gonna try to bring some benefit to you all's life

dealing with some you know and bring in some things that we're dealing with
red and i are not afraid to tell y'all what we're going through we just done
told y'all our whole story we're dealing with it we are dealing with it so we're
gonna be real with you guys.
And we're going to just talk about some real stuff and deal with it as it comes.

what I want to have. Like, for instance, I changed my mind and marked,

for us to kind of like what are we gonna do and you

good it tastes great the way i'm telling you the way she juicing it

i could just drink it right on that you know what when i i
was feeling a little off i think my arm was low i got me
a little shot of beet juice my husband gave me a shot of beet juice
and i just started perking i'm like okay it's disgusting

mine is sweet it tastes like kind of it's not
bitter like cranberry juice but it's that sweet side of
cranberry juice mix it with something and it is so good it's good I can just

With the Dallas Cowboys. They broke my heart this week.
So I think they kind of had me a little off. It ain't going nowhere.

Did you hear her say a couple of times that she almost gave up because she felt
like she wasn't, she put in the hard work to study in the reader lines.

I was leaving a specific place and there were two men.

to be on a movie with a cruddy person man or woman nowadays and they may expect
you to do something a little extra I'm saying,

I know everybody loves money, but don't sell yourself short for that money.
Because in the end, you're going to have to sit back and think about what you did. Absolutely.

on to talk about, and I don't mind saying it. I'm 51 years old now.
I'm going through some stuff nobody told me about.
So I want to bring on, if anybody knows anybody that's willing to come on,
I want to bring on a female doctor.

are between the ages of 35 and 55
that's what our numbers say and our
35 year olds need to know what to expect because one
day you're gonna get hit and you're gonna be like oh my god am i dying what
is going on oh jesus somebody help me that's how i was i'm like oh my god i

went to the doctor the doctor said felicia you are experiencing a hot flash,
i said what is that what this feels like it felt like heat was coming from my
soul and just taking over my body i mean i was sweating like i was in 103 degree

weather out out here in Savannah in August.
Yeah. My mom may tell me about this.
Yeah, I get them a few times a day, too. And my mom didn't go through it because
she had the brain surgery.
So she didn't, her mind, her brain didn't go through the menopause.
But Lord, she... Don't think somebody would turn my brain off.
(53:33):
I don't get them as much. Well, I still get the little hot flashes,
but I went through night sweats. I don't get that.
Oh, my God, ladies. Have you experienced a night sweat?
My husband, he claimed you stay sick because I got the fan on all night.
(53:56):
I have to have the fan on. And then, oh my God, when I kick that foot out,
when I take that foot out from covers, oh boy, my dog will wake up.
Hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold, up at three o'clock in the morning, look crazy.
Girl, I don't even need an alarm though. My body just automatically waking.
(54:20):
I'm like, listen, so we're going to find somebody that can come on and tell
us about that. And listen, you know, if you're not experiencing it, God bless you.
But we want to talk about this thing because we don't talk about it. We don't talk about it.
Our generation is talking about it.
But we ain't talking about it until it hit us.
(54:43):
We don't know. I didn't know. That type of the brown real you said that.
I'm like, yes, yes, yes. Yes, and include the brain fog, the memory,
the joint pain, all that stuff.
When I went through the brain, this is why, guys, let me show you something. Yeah.

This is why I have to have this. See this? It's called a planner.
And I have to write. I remember quite a bit, but I have to write everything down.
Because if I got too many things going on, I will forget, especially when my
daughter was here and I had her calendar and my calendar and inspire her calendar

and Winston Financial calendar,
my church calendar and my fund calendar.
People would say, oh, I had my Jack and Jill calendar, my Delta calendar.
I'm like, I can't remember all this stuff.
Yes, I can't. And the brain fog hit and that is real brain fog is real stuff

that you could run off like what is this who is that person.
What's the name of that book i can't remember nothing yeah that brain fog is
real we need to because this it it is medicine out there i choose not to take
it i'm doing mine the natural way and And it is helping me.
(56:12):
I no longer have night sweats.
So I want to get a doctor on and I want to get a nutritionist.
Actually, we're going to have a nutritionist on.
On the 26th, I believe she signed up. We're going to have a nutritionist on.
She's going to tell us about the benefits of juicing and all the different vegetables
that we need for brain function, for muscles, for weight loss,

for bodily functions, all kinds of things.
And that might help us come off of some of this medicine for blood pressure.
Because, you know, the God-given medicine is vegetables and fruits. You know that, right?
Herbs and sea moss. Sea moss. Even though people don't like it. People don't like it.

Sea moss. Sea moss is a huge benefit, but you got to know how to accept it.
It doesn't taste all that great.
I have a nutritionist who made mine kind of taste like applesauce a little bit.
But we're gonna try to we're gonna try to bring some benefit to you all's life

dealing with some you know and bring in some things that we're dealing with
red and i are not afraid to tell y'all what we're going through we just done
told y'all our whole story we're dealing with it we are dealing with it so we're
gonna be real with you guys.
And we're going to just talk about some real stuff and deal with it as it comes.

because my church that I went to before I left is having its 25th anniversary.

And then I said, but it's going to take eight hours for me to get there and
come back. And that's just too much.
I'm going to stop doing that. I'm just going to go because they're experiencing
what I want to have. Like, for instance, I changed my mind and marked,
I'm going to come to Richmond twice.
One for your event and one my last.

More completing projects. More completing projects.
Then I start and that's making excuses. That's a good deal, Rachel.

So i think um it's important
for us to kind of like what are we gonna do and you
know it's different than making resolutions and stuff so and it's not as concrete
we get into okay we're gonna do this so you good i'm back i'm not gonna talk

I'm not talking about that no more guys the bike done gone out the internet yeah,
every time last time my internet went out this time my light went off this time
my computer just went off for no reason at all alright.
Well one thing that I am going to do is eat less and just Just enjoy life more. I like that.

I want to work a little less. I want to work less.
And I can't say travel more because we travel all the time. But,

I want to spend more time with my family and do some things with my family a little bit more.
That's important. That's very, very, very important.
Because you look back and you got
the money and you've been working and you got

you don't miss all your child's childhood exactly i'm not doing that exactly
not doing that so rachel did you read what she had completed more projects and
less making excuses it's easy to make excuses i know i haven't been making excuses

But I think it's been kind of just like a little blah this week because of the
weather and just I just, anybody else been feeling like a little blah this week?
You know, you know what? I was doing that too, but then I chose to,
you know, people say it, but it's real. Think happy thoughts.

Think happy thoughts. Like I was looking at stuff on TV that was children getting
kidnapped Naps and all this going on.
And I'm like, I need to stop looking at this stuff. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

But all last week, I was up at 7 o'clock and I was down there.
If I don't get it done in the morning, then I just won't do it.
So tomorrow morning, my goal is to get down there at 7 o'clock in the morning, exercise.
I ain't been doing nothing. i have been
drinking my beet juice and trying to get myself it's
good it tastes great the way i'm telling you the way she juicing it

it tastes great she mixed it with other stuff and
i could just drink it right on that you know what when i i
was feeling a little off i think my arm was low i got me
a little shot of beet juice my husband gave me a shot of beet juice
and i just started perking i'm like okay it's disgusting
but you know it's water when she
comes on she gonna have have to tell you what to mix it with because

mine is sweet it tastes like kind of it's not
bitter like cranberry juice but it's that sweet side of
cranberry juice mix it with something and it is so good it's good I can just
drink it like I'm drinking apple juice or something it's good doesn't take me
at all I guess the other thing is I had to really contemplate ending a relationship

relationship this week.
With the Dallas Cowboys. They broke my heart this week.
So I think they kind of had me a little off. It ain't going nowhere.
I broke my heart. If I haven't left my team yet, it ain't no reason.

I don't know. But what do we preach? We need to get out of emotional,
abusive relationships.
