From Hell Book Review

Alex is changing up the format again. Keeping it fresh even, maybe. This month he picked a book that is completely different from what we have been reading. Instead of describing imagery of words on page, Alex is having us describe pictures on paper. That's right. We are discussing a graphic novel. Not just any graphic novel, either, but one of the greatest ever written by one of the greatest authors of that medium.

 

This month we read From Hell by Alan Moore. we analyze one of the most famous works from one of the most famous authors of the graphic novel world, breaking down our thoughts on where it goes so superbly well, and where things fall a bit flat. Joe also re-watched the movie of the same name and briefly touches on why Moore hated that so much and if Moore was justified.

 

Next month Joe has picked another memoir. A truly hilarious book by a woman that became famous from her blogging about her wacky life. We will be reading Let's Pretend This Never Happened (A Mostly True Memoir) by Jenny Lawson. (A little bit of a spoiler, if you are reading along with us on this, we recommend avoiding the audio book...)
