احمد بنیهاشمی در دانشگاه حقوق خواند و بعد از چند سال کار کردن دراین حوزه، حدود سی سال پیش همراه همسرش از تهران به روستای لنگا، نزدیک شهر عباسآبادِ مازندران مهاجرت کرد. به خاطر علاقهاش به حقوق کودک و آموزش، مطالعاتش را در این حوزهها عمیقتر کرد و با کمک همسرش در روستا مدرسهای را راه انداختند که علوم پایه و مهارتهای زندگی را به بچهها یاد بدهند. مدرسهای که در آن نمره مهم نباشد و بچهها خوشحال باشند و از یادگیریِ آزاد لذت ببرند. اسمش را گذاشتند مکتبخانهٔ دکتر مُصاحب.
