امیرمحمد گمینی، دکترای تاریخ و فلسفهٔ علم دارد و عضو هیئت علمی پژوهشکدۀ تاریخ علم دانشگاه تهران است. کتاب «ما چگونه ما نشدیم» را با موضوع بررسی فرضیهٔ افول علم در ایران نوشته و کتاب «مواجه با داروین» را ترجمه و گردآوری کرده که نشان میدهد اولین برخوردهای شرق مسیحی و اسلامی با نظریهٔ تکامل به چه شکل بوده.
با امیرمحمد از تاریخ و فلسفهٔ علم حرف زدیم و همینطور کلیشهای که درمورد تقابل علم و دین وجود دارد و کمی هم در مورد علاقهاش به ادبیات عرب.
