مینا عزیزی پژوهشگر اجتماعی است، در دانشگاه تهران جامعه‌شناسی خوانده و سال ۱۳۹۲ برای ادامهٔ تحصیل به امریکا مهاجرت کرد. بعد از حدود یک سال ونیم برای چک کردن یک مسئلهٔ پزشکی همراه همسرش به ایران آمد. دکترها تشخیص دادند تا درمان کامل بیماری باید تحت نظر باشد. به همین‌خاطر تصمیم گرفتند در ایران بمانند و دیگر به امریکا برنگشتند. بعد از پنج سال که بیماری درمان شد وارد دوره دکتری دانشگاه علامه‌طباطبایی شد. از این دانشگاه دکتری جامعه‌شناسی‌‌اش را گرفت و موضوع مهاجرت را به عنوان تزش انتخاب کرد؛ «رفتن، ماندن، بازگشتن: روایت‌پژوهی تصمیم‌های مهاجرتی ایرانیان تحصیل‌کرده در دهه ۱۳۹۰ تا ۱۴۰۰»
با مینا از تجربه‌هایش در مهاجرت حرف زدیم و همین‌طور تحقیقی که با این موضوع انجام داده .
