I was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease in 1993 at the age of 19. Just a few short months later, I was diagnosed with Graves’ Eye Disease. Symptoms started for me around age 12, and nobody knew what was going on. This is my story and my life Living with Graves’.
I invited my mother, Kae, who also was diagnosed with Grave's Disease as a teenager, to join me and tell her story of signs, symptoms and being diagnosed.
Episode 1 is an introduction on how long I lived with this disease before anyone, including doctors, believed me. Having a resting heart rate of 130bpm, my hair falling out, sweating, and feeling like I'm on speed, was not a fun way to go through high school as a teenager.
