To end the war between the light and dark fae, Una agrees to a political arrangement with the king of the dark fae Goll. Their relationship doesn't start out as a happy one, as they overcome the hatred between their two peoples. Goll comes to the conclusion, rather quickly, that Una might be exactly the person he needs to save his people. There's an ancient prophecy about a dark lady, and with her new black wings, Una fits that image.
