Vår protagonist behöver ta sig från Mayfair till Glendale innan morgondagens middagstid. Märkligt nog verkar lokalbefolkningen motsträviga till att guida honom genom skogen Potowisset. De försäkrar honom däremot om att det är lätt att hitta vägen och efter lite övertalning beslutar han att genomföra strapatsen själv. Efter att ha stannat upp för en lättare lunch, lägger han sig till rätta under ett träd och fast besluten att endast sluta ögonen ett kort tag, vaknar han flera timmar senare till en påbörjad skymning och mörka moln som sluter sig över himlen.
