Louis Francis Cristillo, better known as Lou Costello, was an American comedian, actor, and producer.
He was best known for his double act with Bud Abbott and their routine "Who's on First?"
In 1943, while rehearsing at their NBC studio, Costello received word that his infant son Lou Jr. had accidentally drowned in the family pool. Later, during his career in 1945,. due to the strained relationship that they both shared,
Lou Costello announced that he would no longer work with Bud Abbott.
