Our episode begins with a character we haven't seen for a long time looking out from the bridge of their powerful cruiser as our 'heroes' blind jump into the Drift. This risky maneuver not only puts them at risk, but also the Second Chance itself. Whenever you enter the Drift, you feel like you are being squished and pulled apart at the same time, and then there are the waking dreams... During our time in the Drift, Nikora and Petra get to enjoy some of the Forge's finest spacefaring cuisine, courtesy of Vita-Pro "It's All You Need." When they finally drop out of the Drift, the Second Chance ends up in front of the first astronomical feature of the series, and it is hostile and completely devoid of life. Our episode comes to a close with a shocking cliffhanger that may completely change the social dynamic aboard the Second Chance.
