Vrijwilligers Anne Zweers en Berna Deinum begeleiden vanuit hun werk- en levenservaring de 'gespreksgroep voor nabestaanden' van mensen die overleden zijn na kanker. Hier zijn mensen welkom die iemand verloren hebben aan kanker, dat kan een partner zijn, een kind of een ouder. Anne en Berna vertellen hoe zij dit doen en wat het men hén doet. In de groepsbijeenkomsten, zes keer per halfjaar, ontmoeten mensen van alle leeftijden en in verschillende fasen van rouw, elkaar. Aan de hand van thema's en metaforen in woord en beeld, zorgen Anne en Berna voor een sfeer van herkenning en erkenning, respect en vertrouwen, gelardeerd met humor. Er wordt geluisterd en gepraat, er vloeit een traan en er klinkt een lach. Deelnemers voelen zich door de gesprekken vaak gesterkt in hun 'rouw-dragen'.
