(00:00):
What's going on, Temecula? Danny Molina here with the Point
Blank Truth podcast. It's really been quite some
time, and I want to start out bytalking to all of my supporters
and all my followers, and I wantto just tell you guys what's
been going on. I've been quiet, I've been Mia.
(00:20):
It's no secret. I'm really disappointed with our
school board and I had to take some time.
I have 4 kids and a wife and a family.
Summer hit us really hard and I actually feel really guilty
'cause there's a few people thatI let down and I kind of want to
(00:41):
extend my sincerest apologies. First and foremost, as you guys
know, Derek has stepped away. You know, he's trying to get his
life together and focus on boxing and we really do wish him
the best over here. And then Cole, every man stepped
up to be the Co host and we recorded 2 episodes.
(01:03):
I only put one out, but we recorded 2 and man, I sat on
that one for quite some time. We recorded it like early April
and it was about the March boardmeeting.
I know Cole was really disappointed.
Cole ended up stepping away as well.
And I think it had a lot more todo with me and me not putting
(01:24):
out our our podcast. And I got to tell you guys, man,
I've just been really down and depressed about everything
that's been going on with the school board.
And I made the decision without consulting Cole or anything of
just like, you know what? I think I'm just going to step
away, focus on my family, focus on me, focus on, you know,
(01:45):
enjoying the summer. I've taken some time.
I thought about everything and Ithink I owe the community of
Temecula a deep, deep apology. I think I have an obligation on
this platform where I talk aboutstanding on truth and being
honest. And while I try to do that, I am
(02:08):
human and I do make mistakes. And you know, I just have to
say, I think that I messed up byallowing Emil Barham to use my
platform in the way that he did.I'm not someone that thinks he's
not a conservative. I think e-mail is a
conservative. I think while I don't agree with
(02:33):
a lot of his decisions, his tactics, his conduct, I do have
to take ownership in the disappointment that I feel and I
know other people feel, because I think I allowed him to use me
and my platform to paint himselfin a way where he would get
votes from conservatives. And then when he got the seat,
(02:56):
he started acting and conductinghimself a little bit
differently. You know, him.
And I fell off. I think I got too personal with
him right and I think that I wanted to believe everything
that he claimed to stand for andeverything that he said and I
(03:17):
have to take some responsibilityfor that.
I do feel stupid. I do feel made a fool of.
I think it was him on on social media, he said that my platform
is a dying platform and rightfully so.
I feel responsible in a way for misleading the community a
little bit with my content abouthim and supporting him.
(03:38):
And you know, unfortunately you live and you learn.
And I just want to apologize to my followers.
If you listen to my podcast and you, you believed everything we
had to say about e-mail and supporting him and all that, and
then you were disappointed when you saw him up there.
You know, I have to take some ownership in that end and I
(04:00):
would like to apologize. I think that, you know, the
platform's fairly new. I'm new to politics.
I'm really loyal to people to a fault.
And, you know, I think I have tomake sure that my platform isn't
being used to push certain candidates anymore.
(04:20):
I think I'm going to be not as involved in anybody's campaign
anymore. I just, I can't let people use
my platform to sell themselves because what I've learned is
things are different once they get the seat.
So it's been difficult for me over the past couple months like
(04:41):
having to contend with that. And you know, I put a hold on
the podcast even though I've been sitting on an episode.
I have AI, have AI have one episode with Cole that I split
into two. So that's gonna be two episodes.
And then I have two more episodes also with David Sola
that I'm going to be dropping after that.
But I want to apologize to my listeners if you feel like you
(05:05):
were misled about e-mail. I do feel some responsibility in
that regard. And we will do better from this
platform. We will try to move more
carefully, be more cautious, be more selective.
And also, I don't think it's a good idea for me to publicly
support anybody from this platform.
I think we should just do the interviews, let them say what
they want and move forward. You know, there was a the things
(05:28):
that that have happened where I got really close to certain
people and then they don't like the stuff I'm posting on social
media and they're asking me to remove it and take it down
because it's going to benefit them.
And that's just not something that I do or would be willing to
ever do because that's not how this works.
This platform is supposed to stand for truth, the point blank
(05:51):
truth. And not everybody is going to
like me or my content. Not everybody's supposed to like
me or my content. But I do feel an obligation to
the community to be honest and transparent.
And we will move in a way from now on to make sure we are not
(06:11):
putting ourselves in a position where I'm going to feel like
this again. I also want to apologize to Cole
because she was all about doing the episodes and she came
prepared. She had notes.
I, I, I actually editing our, our episode that we did, you
(06:34):
know, I re listened to it the other day to make sure it was
good. God, it was such a good episode.
The other thing that I'm that's bothering me is like how much
did not putting that out maybe, you know, impact how things have
been done on the board as well, 'cause we talk about things that
are just different now on the board and I'll talk about in the
(06:54):
intro of that episode when it comes.
But yeah, guys, we're going to move a little differently.
We're going to have different segments on this podcast.
I enjoy doing this. I enjoy talking to you guys.
I know a lot of you enjoy listening.
I know that I have haters who listen as well and obviously if
(07:15):
they didn't enjoy it, they wouldn't listen either.
So I enjoy podcasting. I like talking to the community.
This isn't about clout and fame. It's more about just being
truthful and and providing a perspective to the community
that isn't on the mainstream narrative, especially out here
in California. And I want to stay local to the
(07:36):
community. I want to talk to Temecula about
Temecula and I want to have people from Temecula on the
platform to have discussions. You know, I want to talk about
silly things. I want to talk about real
things. I want to talk about
controversial things. You know, I have a couple
different ideas that we're goingto start doing from the
(07:58):
platform, but I've been distant.I stepped away.
I was really, I'm really disappointed with the board and
their conduct. And then recently it just seems
like all the crazies are showingup to the board meeting again.
You know, I haven't even been attending board meetings, so I
needed to take some time to analyze what happened and, and
(08:18):
really get a grasp of how I feltabout it all and how I was going
to address the community 'cause I think that's the most
important thing. You know, I started this
platform to try to be honest andtransparent and I think maybe I
do have some responsibility for certain community members having
(08:43):
an expectation of certain board members and them maybe not
meeting that expectation. And I'm human guys.
I'm sorry about that. All I can do is own it and move
forward from here. And that's really, that's really
all I'm looking to do. You know, I became really close
to e-mail. We became really good friends.
(09:05):
There's other external things that kind of led me to step away
from him and and distance myselffrom him.
I wish him the best. There's no bad blood at all.
I want to be neutral with elected officials.
I I don't want to be their friends and be their buddy buddy
(09:25):
and I don't want them to think that I'm their social media
bulldog that's going to come in and defend them or put content
out that supports them. I think that that would make me
a biased person and I've been pretty neutral with everybody.
e-mail with somebody that I got close to, I was really involved
in his campaign and I just have to move careful from now on.
(09:48):
Again, it's not personal or anything.
I think e-mail did a great job. I mean, he did what politicians
do, right? They campaign, they say they're
going to do something and then when they get in the seat, you
know, they focus on their actualagenda that they had the whole
time. And yeah, I just, I do feel like
there is some responsibility on my end.
(10:11):
And I'm disappointed with the board.
I'm disappointed with myself. I think I'm more upset with
myself. But that's why I had to step
away. Guys, like I said, we're going
to keep moving forward. I'm going to do better.
And I hope you guys can stick with me through the process and
the growth, and I hope we can continue to have some good times
(10:33):
on this platform, have some interesting conversations, have
some valuable conversations. And yeah, that's what we're
going to keep doing and pushing for.
You know, one thing that I did want to talk to you guys about
is I don't want it to be all doom and gloom, all poor me, you
know, 'cause that's not what it is.
Look, guys, if you're disappointed with the board,
(10:53):
hey, all we can do is move forward and hold them
accountable, OK? I think it is ridiculous to
waste time to talk about this person needs to resign or that,
but we need to recall this person that is so stupid.
These people were elected. And you know what?
My youngest kid is 2. I have like 9 more people that
(11:16):
are going to be sitting in thoseschool board seats that we will
talk about and contend with. So I'm sure e-mail is not going
to be the first person that thisplatform will have on and then
we'll be disappointments on the board.
Again, I just think it's about moving more carefully and making
(11:37):
sure that we are not endorsing anybody specifically.
I don't think that's fair to thecommunity and I think that
that's not what this platform isdesigned to do.
So I just want to apologize to you guys for doing that.
I know I keep saying it, but it does weigh heavy on me and I do
hold myself accountable in that regard.
(11:57):
And it is what it is. We got to move forward.
We got to hold them accountable. We got to show up.
We got to give public comment, but we got to also be respectful
to in a, in a certain sense, right?
Like we shouldn't be going afterfamily members and things like
that. We shouldn't be trying to
completely cancel people like Danny Gonzalez, what the recall
(12:19):
effort did to him and how they went after his job and how he
he, he basically had to leave California.
I think that conduct is disgusting and I don't care if
it's if I like or don't like theperson it's happening to, if I
agree or don't agree with the person it's happening to, I
don't I don't agree with that type of conduct.
So again, I wish Emil the best. He got elected, he got the seat.
(12:43):
He's doing what he feels like isbest.
And regardless of how I feel like about it, it is what it is
and we will move forward from here.
You know, my daughter's now in high school and we handed off
the Watchdog program to a very capable dad at TMS.
If you have any kids going to TMS, if you're going into 6th
(13:06):
grade, join the Watchdog program.
It is an incredible program. When I first started it, I think
it was very questionable how it was going to be received and
what that was going to look like.
And when I did my last Watchdog day this last school year, it
was just incredible the feedbackthat I get from the teachers.
(13:26):
I'm able to see what the staff actually goes through and what
they have to deal with. And it gives it gives better
optics to parents who want to beinvolved, gives us an
opportunity to step up and be part of the school day.
So definitely take advantage of that.
Guys, if you're going to TMS, ifyou're at another school,
elementary school or middle school and you're interested in
(13:47):
launching your own watchdog program, please reach out to me.
I can help guide you in that way.
I'm, I was in a meeting with thedistrict a couple months ago to
talk about how we can bring watchdogs to the whole district.
So that is something that I am passionate about and I am
looking forward to. But you know, I have kids in
elementary school and now I havea daughter in high school.
(14:10):
And I just want to talk about myexperience with the high school
so far. First of all, as soon as summer
started, right away she had flagfootball tryouts and she made
the team. And we had a parent parent
coaches meeting. And the coaches were like, look,
we're here to win. You know, this is where we're
(14:32):
trying to win. We're trying to make some noise.
We want your daughters to excel. We want your daughters to get
scholarships. And I was just blown away 'cause
when I was in high school, that wasn't really the focus,
especially as a freshman. So I'm really excited to get the
high school experience in Temecula.
You know, when I first got the TMS, there was a lot of stuff.
(14:54):
I heard about bullying. I heard things about Principal
more in about how you know he's OK, but you know, people had
complained. Some people said he was alright.
Let me tell you something, Principle Morton was freaking
awesome. Principle Morton to me
exemplified what leadership as an administrator supposed to
(15:17):
look like. I think he wanted to empower
parents and he looked to empowerparents.
Anytime I had an issue, I was able to speak with him about it
and we were able to come up witha plan on how to address it, how
to deal with it. From what I heard to what I
experienced was day and night and I would like to encourage
(15:38):
all of you to make sure that we're involved in our kids
schools. Listen, we can't just be the dad
that's going to the school boardscreaming and yelling because we
don't want biological boys and girls spaces.
We have to show up and we have to provide our services and
volunteer and see how we can interject ourselves as parents
(16:01):
and the people who are the custodians and primary
caretakers for the children in the public school system.
Because after all, that's what the public school system is for.
It's for our kids and they are our kids.
Even though we relinquish them to the public school, that
doesn't mean that we can't be involved.
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't be in the know, and
(16:22):
that doesn't mean that we shouldbe uninformed.
So I just want to speak on that. When I got the TMSI, heard some
bad things, and then when I stepped up and told Principal
Mort and I wanted to watchdog, my experience was completely
different from what I heard. So I think it's important guys,
for us to be involved. And I'm really excited to see
(16:43):
what the high school's like, howI can be of service, how I can
help, and what experience my kidwill have at Temecula Valley
High School. Yeah, guys, I hope you're having
a great summer. I, I have, like I said, I have a
podcast that we're going to put out tomorrow.
I, I mean, it's ready to go. So I just wanted to reach out.
(17:06):
I wanted to put this short podcast out and talk to you guys
and, and let you know what's been going on and where I'm at
with everything. And, and just say we're going to
be back. We're going to move differently.
We're going to do things slightly differently on the
platform and that's OK. But I'm still going to be
involved. I'm still going to show up and
(17:26):
try to represent what I think isbest for my children and try to
represent the community as best I can.
So I hope you guys are willing to join me in this journey and I
hope we can have a productive and positive experience together
through the Point Blank Truth platform and through all of my
(17:48):
involvement throughout all of Temecula.
So thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate your support
as always. And again, I'm sorry that I've
been gone. Sorry I've been MIAI felt like I
had to kind of get my mental health straight and figure out
where I stand on everything and yeah, and just take
responsibility for how everything's been playing out.
(18:11):
I'm I've been embarrassed by it.That's I mean, I don't know how
else to put it. That's really what it is.
And I know I let some listeners down.
People are reaching out to me. Dude, when's the next podcast?
When's, you know, people are reaching out to me?
I know I let Cole down because she was really motivated to do
our episodes together. And I, I just, I owe it to you
(18:33):
guys, the listeners, the people who've been following and the
people who've been hitting me upon social media.
I owe it to you guys to take some accountability, take some
self responsibility, own up to it and move forward.
So that's what we're going to do.
I appreciate you for tuning in. I hope you're looking forward to
the next content. The podcast that we're going to
(18:55):
put out next, it'll come out tomorrow.
So whenever I put this out, I'm going to put the next one out
right away. It's about the March board
meeting and it's Cole and I, andI had to split it up into two
episodes. And then we're going to go ahead
and we're going to put out the next day, the first episode with
Cole, and then the next day, thesecond-half of that episode.
(19:17):
And then I'll probably give it aday or two.
And then I will be dropping a split episode that I recorded
with Mr. David Sola that I thought was valuable.
And then we're going to be back on a weekly basis just talking
about content. And yeah, I hope you guys enjoy.
I hope you keep following and I hope you guys are enjoying your
summer. I love you guys.
(19:39):
Temecula, this is a great place. My daughter's playing flag
football. If you guys don't know, flag
football is new in the high schools.
And I'd like to give a big shoutout to JP Santone.
You know, he started a girls flag football team last season
(20:00):
for pylon to pylon and he had mydaughter playing on it and.
JP Santone and Sean Sherwood, they were the coaches and I
think they did a great job. You know, they made my daughter
fall in love with football and they made her a quarterback.
And I mean she loves to compete. She's an athlete and we we went
(20:23):
right into T VHS and we went to the tryouts and as a freshman
now my daughter's the JV quarterback for the team.
So I'm so grateful for men like that who step up to be a
positive influence for my kids. And I think that says a lot
about our community, you know, and also to all the watchdog
(20:44):
dads who were with me at TMS, man, you know, I love seeing the
involvement. I am so proud to be from this
town and this city. Regardless of what goes on and
things that I don't like, there are a lot more things that go on
that I do like and I do appreciate and I do value.
(21:05):
And I find myself living in a city where I look around and
there's a lot of strong dads whoare involved with their children
and who care about the family dynamic and who step up to
coach, who step up to teach, whostep up to be mentors, who step
up to be a positive influence. And this is the exact type of
environment that we should continue to establish and grow.
(21:30):
And I just want to give all of my followers and listeners and
everybody who's been a part of my kids journey, all the
teachers we've had, I haven't had a single issue with a
teacher. Not not a major issue.
You know, anytime there was an issue, we were able to sort it
out, talk it out. So with all the chaos and all
the nonsense and all the discussion about issues, look,
(21:53):
my experience has been somethingcompletely opposite of that.
And I think it's important I andI feel like I have an obligation
to point that out. At the end of the day, the board
can be all messed up, as messed up as they want.
But our city is really a representation of us as parents
(22:13):
and our children and our community.
And even though you could be unhappy with the board, happy
with the board, that's just the small fraction of what our
community actually is and what our community represents.
And yeah, I'm happy to be here. I love this city, and I'm
grateful for all of the listeners and all the people who
(22:34):
support me and all the people who have been there to help
mentor my kids as well. Thank you guys.
I love you. We'll keep going.
We'll keep pushing forward on where do we go?
Till next time, we'll see you tomorrow.
