(00:46):
we have returned we are here it is
Wednesday I think like
back to business back to the regular the
old school days yeah this is old school
this is so this is so April 2023 because

(01:08):
everybody episode 57 of pep talk live uh
I'm Casey with Cascadia dispatch joining
me in the
um NASA orange cocoon uh is uh touch the
urban prepper he is uh I believe uh
broadcasting from inside of a parking
cone yeah something like that it's a

(01:29):
it's a soundproof room that I uh yeah
it's actually better better Acoustics
than my home uh home studio space and
I'm on my phone and I have like my
telemarketer headset so I could uh yeah
the temp is broadcasting for inside his
Panic Room yes
what's going on so uh so welcome welcome

(01:50):
in everybody thanks for joining us I
think to start everything off high level
um for everyone who joined us on the
last episode uh it was it was a bit of
uh it was crazy
it was a scary episode it was a bit of a
turn and a different direction for us
um I sent up multiple times over the

(02:11):
last two weeks to see how it was going
on he I got nothing from him until the
email three hours ago hey do you want to
stream and I was like are you alive is
everyone okay so I feel like everyone
who's watching our hardcore hardcore
people who are here everybody's
listening on the podcast top how are you
how's the family uh do we still have the
crazy neighbor like yes what is the

(02:32):
current situation yeah uh well yeah
we're alive and well uh sorry for being
Mia that's it's been uh for those of you
that didn't tune in last week had a had
like a scary incident with uh uh crazy
neighbor that was uh wanted wanted uh

(02:54):
uh by the the police in any means
necessary it was a real scary time I had
to evacuate everyone from the home uh
and then we've been on high alert uh
since that time uh there's nothing on
that that level has happened since then
uh but we're still and my my family's
back at the house now but they're not
the kids are too scared to sleep in

(03:15):
their own bed so they're everyone's
sleeping in in our bed the the adult bed
and I'm on I'm over on guard Duty still
on on the bed closest to where the the
situation is that I have uh uh our
perimeter you know cameras in motion and
all these things it's we're still on
high alert on that end so but uh

(03:36):
everyone's sleeping sleeping at home
there's a couple different things been
going on with like uh
yeah court court orders and uh and
things like that and some uh some temper
uh temper temper tantrums with the with
this particular uh person that's going
through a kind of a mental uh crisis
right now and uh but yeah is it possible
that that person through the parking

(03:58):
cone that you are currently broadcasting
inside of yeah so yeah but I don't I
think that from what it sounds like they
got I guess when you threaten you know
uh police and uh women and children and
neighbor elderly neighbors I guess you
just assume that you the Court's not
going to contact you so and then when
they do contact them I guess you get
upset about that so so I think that's

(04:19):
what's happening I think they they had a
little temperature on the next phase of
things and uh but we actually had
nothing to do with that so it's yeah
it's been it's been definitely a wild
ride and we're trying to make the best
of it and we're trying to we're not we
don't want that to kind of ruin our our
day-to-day lives we had a really good
Memorial Day weekend and we just been on
high alert and uh security measures are

(04:40):
uh are are in effect right now uh I I
have my perimeter defense I have my if I
need to if I need to send the Drone out
with my uh uh drone link uh I have some
pre-programmed software with some
surveillance routes that's ready to go
too so if I need to but I haven't had to
use that one yet so I'm imagining a
couple of things yeah I have a magic

(05:01):
first off
everyone is I think relieved and
grateful that you always say that yeah
that the police are involved I think I
had I had a few people who I knew who
watched the stream who were texting me
like do we need attorneys do we need a
lot like what red flag laws like what do
we what what can we do to help yeah well

(05:23):
we we definitely don't want like this to
go at this person to go take it up at
the next Notch that's for sure uh but
yeah I mean I'm I'm sleeping in my soft
body armor and stuff that's like my
that's my pajamas now so uh so cozy yeah
but let's let's go for prepper that's uh

(05:44):
I think a All-American prepper always
rolls in body armor but I don't know
it's not normal for me but yeah uh yeah
it's uh yeah they're they're involved
and the courts are involved in
everything uh we're we're trying to
distance ourselves from it as much as we
can because we don't want to set off
anything and it's uh you're just trying

(06:05):
to yeah overall just trying to distance
ourselves and I've been and I apologize
for being M.I.A it's just been a little
crazy and then also my my father-in-law
has been going through some health
things uh which my wife has been real
busy with and that's that's also going
on at the same time so you know we're
glad that you're we're glad that you're
okay yeah we're we're more than anything
we're just glad you're okay like we'll

(06:28):
get in touch and all that sort of stuff
and I need to call the Preppers to a
Preppers I mean if we need to 24 hour
surveillance and I need to do some
shifts okay Casey over I'm imagining in
your house it's like the bed looks
something like in Willy Wonka in the
Chocolate Factory like the original
where all the grandparents are all in
the one

(06:49):
it's like not my the bed that I'm in
it's just me I'm because I'm on duty but
uh uh uh and I'm like not not in a
normal pajama or something like uh ready
to rock type stuff on my the my wife and
the kids are all you know Willy Wonka
style like Grandpa Joe I imagine that
they're like Willy Wonka style in the

(07:10):
bedroom that you could turn the house
into the Home Alone
um there's some aspects to that yeah
with paint cans and all of the the
elements and all that sort of stuff and
then you have like something like it was
like batteries not included did you ever
watch that movie I've heard of it robots
Okay Little Robot aliens and they came

(07:31):
down to earth or whatever
um and they would like fly and I just
imagine your drone is like sitting there
ready to just fly out the bedroom window
like Tinkerbell or something
is ready to go so it's uh the batteries
are charged it's it's ready to rock if I
need to have a perimeter it's kind of
like testing out some of the like the
prepping gear in a way so in one way as
a prepper it's kind of I don't know if

(07:52):
it's fun but it's kind of fun to test
out your gear uh and to again and so
it's not just your gear but it's testing
out your like kind of protocols and
stuff because uh and I think a lot of
Preppers do that for like earthquakes or
just about General evacuation but this
is more of like a you know Home Defense
type thing and uh uh yeah so uh I don't
know if I made a video on that as far as
like all the exterior doors we have uh

(08:15):
I have pepper spray like located in all
of them for quick access uh there are
some home alone type uh you know if
someone were to able to get through some
of the other perimeter defenses that uh
it's to help alert and I'm definitely
not sleeping well but yeah Michael
Jordan cut out on a train yeah that's I
I was like my son loves that movie he's

(08:36):
always been inspired with it so
um yeah well and
it's not everything that was going on I
figured we just make the topic like ways
to keep your your family safe at home
and everything like that it just tips
and tricks and stuff
um we've had uh when we were talking
last week or two weeks ago yeah I we had

(08:58):
had two families that we know have had
incidents of crime
um and so we were dealing with that and
I thought that that was going to be the
headline yeah little did I know Mr one
million followers was gonna come on in
here and be like we're under siege and
and the police are here and all that
sort of stuff just just take the sales

(09:19):
out yeah I figure you've probably got
some really great ideas I'll pepper in a
couple of them here uh but I figured it
would be a good time to just kind of
remember some of those things that you
can do at home that just kind of keep
the family safe that you may not think
about or yeah I I don't know if any have
any tips Beyond like what's already been

(09:40):
covered I mean I think again like the
eating having your EDC on you at all
it's not your EDC unless it's on you at
all times I was uh I was real proud of
my son for having his version of his EDC
ready to go because he he used it like
during an evacuation situation and I
thought that was I was real proud of him
for doing that uh so
again like I we've had to kind of

(10:02):
reevaluate like our some of our cameras
our locations for those like the the
alerts for those having not have false
Triggers on on some certain things uh
my for example my wife is we're doing
also doing our home gardening and stuff
and so she's entered our cameras in the
pepper plant s well she's she's really

(10:22):
upset because she didn't get the same
Peppers but she only got the Carolina
Reapers which was the hottest one but uh
but she also has these Mason bees and
her Mason B operation is expanding uh
exponentially it's because these uh and
so like the Mason beasts keep triggering
certain cameras and it's so then on high
alert and then it's oh it's just a Mason
beat that's it so we're having a uh

(10:45):
evaluate some of those things and I
think like you know in summary yeah uh
it's good to test out your gear and your
your systems that you have and your
protocols and whether it be an
earthquake or a fire or uh you know uh
an intruder type thing it's it's been
we're kind of working out some of the
Kinks and some of the vulnerabilities

(11:06):
there but I don't know if I have any
tips beyond that other than uh yeah
always being ready because you never
know once once one shtf it happens like
what a nshdf doesn't doesn't necessarily
mean it's the end of the world or world
war three it could just mean
the bad guy's trying to break again or
something like that so it's gonna be
your neighbors nuts yeah yeah

(11:28):
so
you were I
you made a video on the on the pepper
spray I don't know if now I'm forgetting
so
um so either either you made a video or
my I I have a couple of uh defenses
um specialist friends uh who uh have

(11:50):
offered to come in and do like
interviews and stuff uh at some point so
I may bring I may bring them in either
onto the Cascadia dispatch
um we have to be a little careful about
how we word some things
um just because but uh but they were
talking about the pepper gel and the
pepper spray yeah um what they say about

(12:12):
it everywhere so yeah so we've got I've
got it at every exit or entrance to the
house I've got it in both of the like
our bedside tables I've got one in the
kitchen uh in a cabinet
um I've got
um they're in the cars in the front
seats
um and then also in the in the back

(12:32):
because we have and SUVs so if the hatch
is open and someone were to kind of be
lurking around you wouldn't maybe have
time to get to the front seat so yeah
one the back and one in the front
um I've got it in all of the bags that
we usually carry with us so it's in my
laptop bag it said my wife's purse it's
in

(12:52):
um you know it's in the kind of I have a
couple of smaller bags that are a little
more casual that I'll take out so yeah
like I have it on my bags like like the
same like ready to go type thing I keep
finding that it keeps like activated
like it turns the knob turns on it right
so right now it's ready to go I don't
know if you can see the hole but that's
that's a kind of a problem because I

(13:13):
don't want to accidentally blast myself
is that the yeah because I've got
um there was a gel saber makes a gel
yeah that's what we use it's called like
it's their tactical one yeah I think
it's the same gel but what I like about
it is it comes with a little holster
canister little nylon out that it goes

(13:34):
in that protects you so you don't
accidentally hit the trigger oh okay and
so um and it doesn't actually like you
have to like oh it's not hard but you
just have to open the little flap and
then you can push the button okay that
helps out yeah I keep finding that mine
are always like in the ready to go
position and I didn't I didn't put it
there and I'm always where oh man

(13:55):
someday that's gonna actually I'm gonna
that's gonna go off that's gonna go off
um we did buy I don't know if you've
bought the saber uh the practice ones
the it's like filled with kind of like a
water solution basically uh oh yeah so
we've done some of the practice drills
with uh the kids and stuff because they
if they ever needed to I don't want them

(14:16):
using the real I because I've done it
many times because I uh you know for
video purposes also with a gas mask I'll
spray myself with it and see see what
happens but the kids haven't done it so
they uh we we purchased uh some of the
uh they're the blue ones so they're not
red they're blue and it's like a water
slope so you can actually see oh okay
what is this actually like to spray and

(14:37):
what's what's the distance and
everything so I think that's probably
pretty pretty good to do so okay I did
not know that those existed I would be
finding those and getting them because
yeah I haven't really played around with
it a whole lot just because I didn't
want to use it and hurt anyone uh but if
there's a practice one that would be 100
um so yeah so the so that I think the

(14:58):
pepper spray has been a big one
um I think the uh the security system
yeah
um I've I've gone big into uh I talk a
lot about the gray band versus the
Yellow Jacket mentality yeah
um
a brilliant analogy thank you thank you
thank you it's really good yeah if we

(15:21):
ever have a gray yellow jacket that
would be a whole different thing
um but the idea of just making our house
look unattractive to a criminal person
compared to so the other houses in our
neighborhood and I feel bad about that
but you know we're basically it's kind
of like how fast you need to be to
outrun a bear just faster than the last

(15:43):
person in the line or whatever
um so we have
um all of our our exterior lights now
are on uh timers and sensors
um we have the cameras up all over the
the exterior of the house uh we have the
sticker signs in our front window and
back windows that show that it's video

(16:04):
cameras that it's security permit from
the the city
um that all that stuff is there
um so just trying to make it if
somebody's walking by and looking for
something quick that our house does not
look like it would be worth the trouble
that maybe somebody else's house on the
Block might some some deterrence then
yeah exactly yeah we're looking at

(16:27):
possibly upgrading our camera system I
don't know if people in the comments
have recommendations on it because uh
like my brother has a new newer camera
system that is able to detect whether
it's a human or a bug or a cat or
whatever and like right now that what uh
we're getting false alarms on Mason bee
so I need to I need to get some AI or I
need to get some chat GPT

(16:49):
camera alerts that a little a little
smarter than yeah
um we have a friend that they were
mentioning the other night that their
cameras could like detect animals and
things I know yeah I thought our cameras
were good we don't get
um we don't get a lot of animal false
alarms
um but we'll get depending on like
Street traffic a car yeah we'll get cars

(17:11):
and stuff
um but the the animal thing especially
if it's right by like a beehive or
something every once in a while I'll get
on at night if it's in night vision mode
or whatever and there's like a bug that
goes through and it's getting the
reflection of the light then we'll we'll
get that yeah we've been getting those
and right now I I sleep in with with the
alarms they're audible alarms so if the

(17:31):
camera goes off I'm waking up then
because I think so and then oh it's a
spider or it's a Mesa bee or whatever it
is so I'm thinking about I think it's
time to upgrade uh what wait we have the
Arlo twos and I think those are actually
getting uh end of life within our Arlo
because they want to make more money or
something so
yeah yeah go ahead I was gonna say the

(17:53):
lighting you know the home lighting is a
nice deterrent too because uh
they're like bad guys are like
cockroaches where they don't like like
big bright lights shined on them so yeah
yeah hey um pink flight yes I put lots
of signs out that say go next door or
maybe not next
down the block whatever yeah
um you know it's kind of funny I was

(18:14):
it's the like things that I saw on 2020
and 60 minutes when I was like in my
teens when it was like Dateline and
whatever yeah are the things that I'm
now like applying of like okay make your
house look unattractive you know but you
know comparatively um the um but yeah we
have the ring cameras uh yeah and we got

(18:36):
my brother has those ones and he's
pretty happy with those uh they're
they're great um we get little the
little false alarms every once in a
while but not big yeah but I like it
because we also have the ring security
system now and that worked really really
well
um and the cameras then tie into the
security system and so you can actually

(18:56):
tie motion from the cameras into actions
from the security system
um you can uh like the panels
um Are Wireless so we can we don't have
to put them our old security system you
had to like put it on a wall and
hardwire the the power into it uh these

(19:17):
they just recharge with like a USB and
so we can basically put them anywhere in
the house so we can have full arm disarm
Panic buttons all the police whatever in
multiple rooms of our house if we wanted
to
um and the hardware is not as uh super
expensive to add on to so
um really like that

(19:39):
um the the other thing that I the
Dateline thing was
um
getting the your um garage door openers
out of your car uh yeah yes yeah we we
had so we haven't had garage door
openers in our car for a few years we
have a uh app controller we have a
keypad on our garage if we ever need it

(20:01):
we also don't usually go in our garage
we usually go through the front door
um but we had uh friends somebody broke
into their car took their uh garage door
opener out open their garage door and
then
um the door between the garage and the
inside of their house
um they didn't lock that

(20:21):
um and so the guy the husband happened
to be awake and thought it was a
neighbor opening the door and if he
opened the door to the laundry room to
go check the garage the bad guy was
opening the door into the house and they
met in the laundry room
um so a hundred percent make sure that
if you have a
um a remote control garage door opener

(20:43):
um that you get that out of your car or
you lock it in a glove compartment or
something if you're not there
and make sure to lock the door into your
house from your garage if you have a a
full garage yeah we my MMOs have the
same problem where they they had their
uh their garage door openers in the car

(21:04):
they they and what they did is they they
took the garage door opener and then
they waited in a couple days and then
they opened it later to steal stuff and
they stole a bunch of stuff out of the
garage for that so yeah we've never kept
ours in in the in the cars like on the
visor because just because of that yeah
and I know there's differences between
like

(21:24):
uh if if your car is a detached sorry if
your garage is detached versus whether
it has access to the home there's
different like like the law is a little
different uh I'm not a legal expert or
anything so don't give if you're
watching but I thought it was like
something like uh whether it's a
burglary or uh uh there's different
classifications depending on whether the

(21:46):
there's access to the house uh from the
garage or not so interesting yeah
there's some nuances there that I I I'm
forgetting all the right terminology and
stuff but I know that uh it does make a
difference on uh how you could handle
certain situations with with that so
yeah I would imagine they'd probably
like that the garage is more of like a
shed or an outbuilding yeah versus if

(22:08):
it's attached to your house then it's
part of your house and so if you're
going to do more of a like castle wall
yeah yeah underground or something you
have a different yeah a little argument
there again we are not attorneys we
barely are adults I do not listen to
anything that we say

(22:36):
that'll be that'll be showing up here
soon it's super cool I'm so excited
um but yeah so if you um what we found
out was is that the guys who were
breaking into cars and then going into
houses they weren't going in to steal
stuff what they were doing was going in
to get purses that were hung by the
front door or by the back door get the

(22:57):
keys and steal the second car
oh that's
um they're getting they're getting more
and more clever these exactly so we have
started also now moving uh purses and
keys and wallets and all that sort of
stuff either further into the house or
hiding them putting them in a concealed
location now I gotta upgrade now I gotta

(23:19):
upgrade my key situation because I think
ours are right we have some hooks right
in the front on the front door so
yeah that was the we we used to keep
them right right at the front and then
we were like well actually if somebody's
gonna just kind of come in and try to
take that
we probably need to make that a little
more difficult to to holler to find yeah

(23:39):
we're we're now we're looking at
upgrading our front door because we have
a uh I have one of the the armored doors
put the armored Concepts I think is the
brand that I have shout out armor
Concepts but that's
a hashtag sponsor hashtag affiliate link
uh the that uses the long screws but it

(24:01):
basically makes it so you can't kick in
the door and it's like a super
reinforced but our front door has like a
glass front so it's like doesn't make a
lot of sense to have the armored door on
that but now we're like yeah we gotta
upgrade to the door and so it's a harder
to kick in there like a cartoon style
bank vault door yeah like with the

(24:21):
little spiky handle or the spinning yeah
that'd be more like it
the kids come home from school and it
just like creaks and there's like the
the depressurization like clouds that
they have like in cartoon
and then it slowly opens yeah yeah I
think we have uh like we I've we've

(24:42):
upgraded where they're all three inch
screws that are in there for like for
for the bolts and everything like that
for the for the door but it's still like
uh yeah having having a solid door that
doesn't have a big thing of glass and
there's probably better so we're we're
having a heck of attack because there
are plot like uh our appliances are all
seem to be breaking at the same time so
I did I need a new dishwasher I need a

(25:03):
new oven and the front the front door is
down on the list so oh my goodness
um I think the uh
so uh
quick comment keep a key fob in your
bedroom I think someone's breaking in
you can set the car alarm off oh that's
a good idea good one yep uh you can also
do that with like your spare key so a
lot of times if you've got a a like a

(25:26):
key fob or yeah you know a key with
buttons or something
um you know you've got the one that you
usually use that's on your key key ring
you keep your spare key like in your
side table and then have access to it it
will probably have a better battery and
better range as well good idea
um I just thought of that right now
because I'm very smart the idea is

(25:47):
whenever we talk the ideas just start
flowing yeah we really this is the
greatest brainstorm of things we need to
actually get done and we need like an
assistant a personal assistant that just
makes all the videos for these ideas
that we come up with we do we do I'm
like if we applications

(26:12):
it's a non-paid internship but it's good
exposure exactly yeah you know what that
is a fascinating idea YouTube interns
for channels yeah exactly
oh someone puts it on their resume
exactly if you want to be a video editor

(26:32):
we'd love to have you you can use that
as your portfolio style that will be
not a bad idea actually
like 10 seconds ago when I was realizing
ideas are flown
we're getting the rust off is what's
happening we're just coming back

(26:53):
um so I think another thing too and this
is one of those
it's controversial but we're a
controversial Chef we're pretty we're
probably the most controversial program
out there on YouTube yeah pretty edgy
um so Alexa's or or the echo dots or
whatever or voice Siri Google whatever

(27:13):
you want
um
a lot of people don't like to have them
in the in the kind of prepping community
and everything because they feel like
they're being spied on and and all of
that sort of stuff
um I will say it is amazingly wonderful
to if you hear a noise or something to
just be able to yell turn on a house and
have all the lights in your house
outside and inside turn on

(27:36):
instantaneously yeah
uh there's some really cool videos on uh
on Tick Tock and on others where they
have like an alert like kind of an Alexa
alert mode where it changes all the
lights starts they start blinking red it
does some of the siren stuff like it's
like a big deterrent like there's
something to do that and I I don't think
maybe I should look into that I don't

(27:58):
like having those kind of devices in
like private areas but public ones level
okay so yeah I keep I keep all of ours
only in the bathroom yeah that way I
feel like they're out of sight out of
mind you know someone wants to listen to
who's out there yeah exactly that's just
gross yeah
I

(28:19):
yeah yeah
that's I mean I think that's one of
those
it's kind of like
uh in in the and I think in the prepping
community and things there are things
like the hoarding versus prepping uh
debate of like where is the line between
hoarding and prepping and someone might
feel like the line is a little bit over

(28:40):
here someone feels like the line's a
little over there there's a little bit
of personal uh Personal Taste and
preference in that uh either way I feel
like this is another one of those with
technology where it's kind of like some
people are very much anti uh collecting
data or feel like they're data or
anything else could be collected and
used against them yeah still and not 100

(29:02):
sure what they think it's going to be
used for but they're very adamant that
they don't want it to be used uh while
they have their iPhone in their pocket
and they're you know wandering around
and all of that sort of stuff
um but then you've got people who are
like hey I don't want to necessarily put
my social security number out there or
whatever but like if there's something

(29:23):
that can make life easier or use take
the value of that technology and use it
actually to further my prepping goals
yeah um that there's a value there so
it's kind of an interesting uh like we
should almost have like a a round table
debate we'll bring in like all of the I
think it's yeah it's definitely
interesting because I mean your phone is
like your biggest like that's your

(29:44):
biggest tracker of you uh but yeah I
mean I have like I have the Drone and
it's programmed that there's like
coordinates and stuff could get
technically get uh yeah I think you have
to just kind of figure out what you're
most comfortable with but it would be
definitely nice to have a alert thing
that changes all your lights and stuff
like that whether the spotlights outside

(30:06):
sends the Drone up you could probably
get out like uh all that pre-programmed
that'd be pretty sweet like that'd be
pretty sweet where you say you could uh
use uh Alexa to uh send the Drone up
exactly
interesting too like I've I've been
playing around with like uh so our our
ring cameras connect to like fire or

(30:30):
fire TVs and that's what so we can
actually see the app like we have the
app on our phones but I I think we can
use Alexa to actually say like put the
the camera images up on the TVs that we
have
um or up on like we have that Echo Show
in the kitchen for like recipes and all

(30:50):
that sort of stuff
um but it would be interesting to like
have like a red alert mode where it
would change like all the lights would
be red the the cameras go up on the
screens the uh yeah yeah sound is you
know some sort of like heavy metal Rock
sound or something like that

(31:11):
um that's just those are deterrents and
I think that would uh
yeah I I like it yeah I mean I bet you
could program it to do like barking dog
because you can have multiple we have
them throughout our house so like I bet
we could do it so that like one of them
starts like a dog barking sound I've
debated I've debated with setting up
some kind of man that was a video I was

(31:32):
gonna do and I never did it uh with it I
wanted to hook up some some nice
Speakers by the front door area so that
and and having like uh if then then that
type thing a little program set up where
I could uh
uh have dog barks like and I was trying
to find the right dog bark sound uh that
would be the scariest like some German
Shepherd style one but yeah I think I

(31:53):
think it's like a great idea you should
get like a cardboard cut out of laughing
yeah
we have little toy dogs and so they're
they're they're not intimidating at all
so
do you remember the robot dogs when they
came out and they were like like the
cool like amazing uh Consumer Electronic
they were like 600 or something but they

(32:14):
were these little robot dogs and they
would like do tricks and Barker kind of
yeah they didn't do much but like they
were at CES and so everyone thought they
were the coolest it was before the
dancing they had the little dancing man
robot from a couple of years ago
um so the dog was before that
um you can get one of those and I wonder
if you could like plug Alexa into that

(32:35):
and tell it like have Alexa make a new
drinks yeah maybe pretty soon we'll have
those uh what is that the Boston
robotics those creepy AI ones that are
yeah that come out Alexa send the dogs
that that AI robot dog looking thing
comes out and
goes into that I don't know you know
okay that's another thing that I just

(32:56):
like we have great ideas on this show
again again if you want to be an intern
uh please submit your opportunity
um I know that you can connect uh like
Roomba iRobot and Alexa together
and I've seen a lot of of tick tocks and
things where people like put their cats

(33:16):
on the Roomba or they just like the
Bumbo bubble baby I don't remember what
the seat's name was we had one for a
little while but it was like up a baby
you're a booba baby or something and
they put the kid in and then the Roomba
goes around yeah
like you put the cardboard cut out of
the dog the Home Alone technique yeah
and then you make like the action code

(33:38):
like Alexa release the hounds or
something and just have all the roombas
go up
that could work too these someone's
writing this down we gotta we got these
good ideas yeah the Alexa Alexa's trying
to get down and it's sending it to Jeff
Bezos and and yeah copywriting it right
now as we speak

(34:12):
um this is something that I've seen and
considered a few times I have looked
into that yeah one of you because I
think they use it for like hurricane
zones and stuff to make sure that and we
don't have hurricanes but I was like
that would really
be beneficial because they show like two
by fours being stopped going through the

(34:33):
windows and stuff like that those are
pretty awesome yeah I've looked into
those for because we have some front
kind of like a bay window and uh we uh
when uh like during in like 2020 and
stuff we were worried about uh you know
people going down the the neighborhoods
and throwing bricks and stuff like that
and we I looked into the security film
but I just never got it uh but yeah

(34:54):
maybe for the front door yeah uh it's
kind of like a
uh decorative kind of window so I don't
know if it would fit as well but it
would definitely fit on like the bay
window stuff and I have looked into it
but I haven't I've never tried it myself
but I'd be interested to see if it's if
it's worthwhile all right we may have to
make a video about that we may have to
let's let's do that'd be a first project
for exactly yeah Chuck we're going to

(35:14):
put that on your on your list he says uh
yeah long hours and no pay yeah what
more could you want yeah and that's the
right attitude that is 100 the attitude
we're looking to join uh oh somebody has
it
so Mr uh Mr landfill
high security film great stuff okay what

(35:36):
have you thrown at it Mr landfill is
this like the the like the the Tesla
cyber truck windows that were supposedly
like bulletproof and unbreakable until
they were on stage and they threw like a
pop can or something at it shattered it
repeatedly
yeah I'm gonna now I'm gonna have to
look at how you just added something to

(35:56):
my Amazon my shopping list
hahaha
well if you had a Lexus then Alexa could
add it to your shopping list yeah
[Laughter]
oh my goodness all right well I think
we're I think we have a good spot I
think we we came back we said hello we
had a great conversation this is our

(36:18):
first like this is my first like mobile
setup too so I could technically I could
be on the go wherever and we could drop
into prep talk live so I could be uh I
could be at a park or and uh I love that
I'm gonna have to make a mobile setup as
well we'll have to do a whole thing
really all this means is we get to buy
more stuff yeah as long as like the
headset sounds okay I don't have my uh

(36:41):
my uh air pods or anything so as long as
this sounds pretty good then yeah it
might work might work out all right all
right well we'll keep we'll keep testing
it out we'll see what we come up with
cool um and you know either way if I
sound better than you that's totally
fine with me yeah you said that would be
really nice thank you it's a soothing
voice
[Music]

(37:03):
when I use Waze I want it to be Cascadia
dispatch and I like that that would be
fantastic
if you were a voice assistant like Siri
but it was just Casey hey Casey
Freeman or Colonel Sanders or something

(37:26):
like that
mine is Arnold Schwarzenegger and I
loved it I I love when they come up with
the voices the voices are fantastic
um all right everybody well thanks for
joining us we will be back next week not
sure if it'll be Wednesday or Friday
we'll figure that apart out keep an eye
out on the pages for
um the notice of when it's gonna happen
uh but tup is safe and sound-ish

(37:51):
um and I am reporting from Legoland so
that's totally fine uh be safe thanks
for joining us and we will see you next
week uh bye everybody
that's it
