Romans 12:1 "Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your true worship."
Oh, the wonderful mercies of God!
In Romans chapter twelve, Paul has just finished talking about the overall plan of God for both the Gentiles and the Jews, how His plan for them will come to pass because His call is irrevocable. Our behavior does not change God's plan for our life. Paul goes on to say, in Romans twelve, "In view of the mercies of God..." Or because of the mercy of God, let us present our bodies and minds to our God. It's because of God's mercy that our bodies and minds are holy and pleasing to Him. When Jesus made us righteous, our nature was transformed from sinner to saint, from unrighteous to righteous. It is from this transformation that we can now live our lives well pleasing to God.
