1966 : Suit son cours infirmière
1967 : Un an de spécialisation sage-femme à l’université Laval pour partir dans les pays en voie de développement. Ce sont surtout des sœurs qui font ce cours. Il s’est arrêté en 1972 car les médecins ne voulaient pas que ces, Sages-Femmes, travaillent au Québec.
1968: Part au Pérou, dans une mission franciscaine. A leur retour , on leur proposait de devenir des infirmières en obstétrique.
Elle rejoint son mari à Winnipeg et a un accouchement traumatique...
