(00:00):
Imagine a small village in Fatima, Portugal, when three small children encounter a vision
so profound it shakes the world. Fatima morethan a place is a message, a warning and a
call of hope. What if I told you that the secretsrevealed their bold answers for the chaos we
face today? In this video, we'll uncover thetrue secret of Fatima, the powerful words of

(00:22):
our Lady, their meaning and why they matternow more than ever. Stay with us because what
you are about to hear will change your perspectivesforever. Welcome to Salve Maria, the podcast
of the Heralds of the Gospel.

(00:44):
Maria François,

(01:12):
It's always good to remind ourselves of these realities.Fatima is a beautiful message, a message of hope, a message of faith, a message of triumph.
Because in the end, my maculat heart will triumph, says our Blessed Mother. So we tend to just always think of the optimistic and positive aspects of Fatima, but there

(01:35):
are some negative aspects in the sense that – not that they're negative, but thatthey… call our attention to conversion. And,
you know, like we are always a little bit, well, relaxed and laid back with regards to our faith.
Conversion can sometimes aggress us a littlebit, and that's why we flee from these hot

(01:59):
topics of Fatima. So it's good that we're here,it's good that we're talking about this, and
I'm sure you're going to like this. Just fora short introduction about Fr. François, you
know him already. around many, many of our programshere in the channel, but also he has a doctorate
from Rome, right? Yes, exactly, yes. So I studiedat the Gregorian there in Rome under the pontificate

(02:26):
of Benedict XVI. So it was really nice, it wasa beautiful experience. And there I studied
at the Greg, I got my... Doctrine in theologywas fundamental theology. Fundamental theology
is the modern term for apologetics. You see,so explaining our faith, explaining our faith

(02:49):
and giving reasons why we believe as Christians. So it was something great. But it's nice to
be here, brothers. So yes, Fatima, it's thequestion. So let's dive into our Lady of Fatima
talking about modesty and fashion. What a topic. You were saying, you were commenting about
the necessity of conversion. Jacinta says that-One of the seers, one of the seers, right?

(03:15):
Jacinta, yes. Fashions that will greatly offendour Lord will appear. People who serve God
should not follow fashions. The church has nofashions. Our Lord is always the same.
you know, morality because it, well, it kindof raises our conscience, right? But it's important

(03:43):
to speak about these effects, these topics. And fashion, unfortunately, deals with morality
because, well, the way you dress, well, canbe something that will be sanctifying, but
can also be something that could also be somethingthat will... will bring somebody to become

(04:06):
distracted. And by attacking, attracting theirattention, it can be for something bad, of
course. So this is what- There's a fusion betweenelegance and something that is not quite modest,
right? Right, yes. The secret here is, you know,do you want to attract attention? We have to

(04:27):
be modest. We have to be, yes, we can be fashionable, yes, but it has to be, in order to dignify
our person. From our baptism, we were elevatedto becoming sons and daughters of God. So we
have, always remember, we participate in God'sdivinity. We inherit heaven. We, therefore,

(04:58):
are temples of the Holy Spirit. And that's whywe should always dress in a dignified, in a
very elegant way, but in a way that does notdistract people from other things, you see,
that does not provoke people. And this is whatOur Lady was kind of already foreseeing way

(05:18):
back over a hundred years ago. Imagine todaywhat Our Lady would say with regards to fashion.
You know, we always talk about advertising campaigns, advertising campaigns in the, this contemporary
world never encourage anything that is virtuous. It's always an appeal to what is low, to what
is base, and fashions unfortunately are completelytargeted by this wrong way of advertising.

(05:44):
So someone might say or ask, Father, what isa Catholic fashion? Is there such thing as
Catholic fashion? No, no, because Saint Paul, all right, remember, he says a Catholic is
not somebody who's different from society. It'snot somebody who, you know, we don't eat different
foods, we don't act in different ways. We justblend right in with society. So there's not

(06:10):
a Catholic fashion. We just dress as God, asit pleases God. You see? Yeah, it's not a form
of Amish outfit, right? We shouldn't look likewe belong with Amish. Lack of colors, zero
colors. Black, straw hat. Yes. No, we have toblend into society in order to be able to evangelize

(06:40):
society. If we are like extraterrestrials livingin society, we live on another planet, but
we won't be able to communicate to the world. We won't be able to evangelize. Remember, as
baptized children of God, we are also calledto evangelize and proclaim His name. We must

(07:01):
evangelize and we must therefore spread thegood news. But in order to do this, we have
to have a contact with the people. So this iswhy, Father, I say there's no Catholic fashion.
It's just modesty. It's just Christian modesty. You see, we have to... to be careful not to

(07:23):
take the modern artists as examples. This isa danger because modern artists, what we find
on social media many times, will not lead usto having proper dress in our life. Our models

(07:46):
are not the modern artists or... modern, let'ssay sports people, our models must be the saints.
How did the saints live their lives? How didthe saints dress? How did the saints blend
in to their society in order to raise society?See, we who are strong, we have to help those

(08:12):
who are weak. So this is the idea, okay? Thisis when and the dangers of fashion and Jacinta
repeats this to the world, she's warning us.Listen, be careful because the devil is going
to try to hypnotize you and to bring you todress as it's improper, in a revealing way.

(08:37):
We must not dress in a revealing way. We mustnot dress in order to distract people. We must
not dress in order to be vain. These are allsins. This is all... No, we have to dress in
order to be modest. It can be elegant, it canbe fashionable, but it has to be modest. The
fashions of today, you go to any church. I'mnot sure if, I'm gonna use fashion in the most

(09:01):
broad sense possible. You have people who looklike they just rolled out of bed wearing pajamas,
and they're in church on Sunday. You've gotothers whose hair looks like rats live in it.
They haven't combed it or whatever. Again, that'sa fashion. Is it a good fashion? That's what
a good question is, right? Is it pleasing toGod? Well, yeah. Dignifying the person. Right.

(09:28):
There you go. It's a question of dignifyingthe person. All right? This is what we should
be wanting to do. But there's another thingalso that Sister Lucy repeated and she spoke
about, and that was with regards to the diminishingof faith, all right? Because the fact that
there people are attracted to the modern fashionand they're afraid to confront and to resist

(09:56):
the world. The fact that Catholics sometimesget influenced by bad fashion is because their
faith is weak. Always remember this. If a Catholichas a strong faith, that Catholic will have
the strength and the insight, that

(10:17):
of the faith, the Catholic sense, to know that, listen, I can't wear that dress, or I can't
wear that t-shirt, you know, I can't wear thattype of, well, a boot, or glove, or hat, you
know, it has to have something, you know, myfaith has to be strong in order for I to be

(10:40):
able to discern what is wrong. And both. maleand female, right? Because sometimes we don't
understand, no, it's only the ladies. No. It'sa full opportunity situation. It's an opportunity.
Yes, exactly, exactly. Well, here, Father, sincewe are turning on the heat a little bit more,
a little further up, right? Sister Lucia alsosays, the decadence which exists in the world
is, without doubt, the result of a lack of prayer. So this is another aspect of Fatima that we

(11:07):
don't talk about. And yet, how important itis, right? Yes. Well, always remember that
when Our Lady would appear, she appeared sixtimes to the little seers. Every time she appeared,
she always insisted to pray the rosary. Shealways insisted that the seers, that the three
little children, Francisco, Lucilia and Jacinta, should pray the rosary daily. So this is something

(11:32):
that we should always remind ourselves whenwe feel lazy or we feel that we don't have
time. to pray the rosary, no, we have to maketime. There was Saint Alphonse Maria di Ligori,
all right, one day was preaching and he wasasking, and he was insisting on prayer, saying
that, you know, we all have to make time forprayer at least half an hour per day. And then

(11:56):
somebody in his, someone who was accompanyingthis retreat of Saint Alphonse who said, oh,
but Saint Alphonse, it's a half an hour a day,I don't have time for that, I just have too
much work. You know, I'm, I'm busy. So St. Alphonsewent and looked at him and said, then you better
start praying one hour a day because one halfan hour is not going to be enough for you.
In other words, all right, if you don't havetime to have to pray half an hour, then you

(12:20):
better make space for an hour because you'redown the wrong road. All right. So, so this
is the prayer is the means of salvation. It's,it's a means for us, all right, to, uh, to
what is prayer? Prayer is, is to enter intoa relationship. with God, is to enter into
a filial love with our Lord. So this is somethingthat we have to desire. This is something that

(12:45):
we have to, in order to grow in faith and thereforeresist the temptations of the world, which
is fashion, which is, you know, bad heresiesand et cetera, et cetera. So prayer is essential.
And many people discuss the necessity of havingclarity, right? Clarity is much discussed in

(13:07):
many, many places. And well, if we pray, that'swhere clarity comes. If we have prayer, it
means that we are going to have the right orderof things, the right priorities of things.
How many times we just waste time without knowing, without having any direction. And eventually,

(13:27):
the more prayer, the more clarity, the moreclarity, the more and order in our priorities
and so on and so forth. You know, you're usinga modern term there, clarity, which is, I find
very, very interesting, Brother Gustavo, you'reright, you're right. But to use an Old Testament
word, you're talking about wisdom, you see?So he who prays becomes wise. And what is wisdom?

(13:51):
It's clarity, all right, to be able to understandthings. So Noah, you're absolutely right. So...
Our Lady Fatima, when she spoke and insistedon that rosary, daily rosary, she was insisting
because she knew that was the means for peopleto grow in faith and to receive the strength
therefore, the clarity, the wisdom, to rejectwhat was bad in the world. Because face it,

(14:16):
we live in the world, all right? We are Catholics. We are Christians. And we have to. have contact
with the world. There has to be communicationwith the world. We work in the world. So, but
we must always remember, we are not of thisworld. As Saint Paul says in his epistles,

(14:41):
we are living for the other world. We have ourhearts, our minds, all right, for heaven. But
we are living in this world right now, materialworld, physical world, and therefore we are
living in it and we want to transform it. Wedon't want this world to transform us. All
right? It's not the world that's gonna transformus Catholics. It's us Catholics under the guidance

(15:05):
of our lady that have to transform this world. All right? It's another perspective. We have
to change things around. For sure. And BrotherJustin, what do you see from that corner? Today
Brother Justin is very silent, so I don't know.Oh, he just came back shopping, so I think
he's under the- A lot of work. Under the, under-under the weather there. But there we go. I

(15:29):
mean, you know, our lady, when she appearedover a hundred years ago, she was talking about
our days today. We are living the message ofFatima. Fatima is a message of salvation. It's
a message of warning too. We should always, always remember, all right? Our lady is warning
us of these dangers. We're going to go in amoment about the warnings. We're going to go

(15:49):
in a moment about what our lady specificallysaid about hell. and at the same time, very
tightening sayings here by the three littleshepherds. Let's go to a quick information
and we come back with a little bit more of whatdid our lady really say. In fact.

(16:09):

(17:59):
Son and the Holy Spirit, amen. Welcome backto this episode about our Lady Fatima, and
now we're going to tackle a really serious topicwith this. Hell and Russia. So a lady shows
hell to the three little shepherds. Some wouldsay maybe it's something completely exaggerated,
how come in these days we try to keep the childrenguarded and everything else. Our lady went

(18:25):
and showed her hell itself and then she says, you have seen hell where the souls of poor
sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establishin the world devotion to my immaculate heart.
If... what I say to you is done, many soulswill be saved and there will be peace. So Father,
hell exists. Hell exists brother Gustaf. Let'ssay of the devil today, the fact that he is

(18:52):
able to do what he's able to do is because hewas able to take away the notion of hell from
society. People do not believe in hell anymore.People actually doubt and they reject and that
was the devil's trick. That was He was veryvictorious and he's triumphed and he's able
to do what he's doing in the world today becausehe's taken away this notion of hell. We should

(19:14):
remember as Catholics that we have dogmas inour church. Dogmas are truths that were revealed
by God, that were therefore studied by the church, and that we find in Holy Scripture. And the
church decreed dogmas. So this is a revealedtruth. This is another revealed truth. These

(19:35):
are kind of stepping stones. The Catholic Churchdoes not have the pretension of having the
truth. The Catholic Church does not have thetruth. We are always in search of the truth
because the truth is Christ. He's eternal. Sothe church goes and decrees different dogmas

(19:56):
that are truths. So there's the dogma of theImmaculate Conception, dogma of the Holy Trinity,
and the dogma of hell. In other words, If youdon't believe in hell, you're not Catholic.
It's found in the Creed. It's actually foundin three Creeds, not just one, Nicene Constantinople,
the Athenation Creed, and the Apostles Creed. And this is an interesting thing. I think one

(20:19):
of the things that the devil did was to vacatehell, and with that, the supernatural, the
metaphysical. And as time went by, because thehuman soul
We have it coming back, but we're coming backwith a very weird and malformed version. We

(20:39):
end up with Satanism and the worst forms, thingsthat would have made the druids of fifteen
hundred years ago shudder. It's pure and simpleSatanism. But they're saying now that Satanism
is different. Satanism is the acknowledgementof self. So it's really the most radical form

(20:59):
of self-worship. You understand how evil thisis. It's impressively evil, but this is the
core of the Fatima message, which we have divorcedwith God and we adore ourselves in its place.
So we become our own golden calf. We cannotforget that Jacinta and Francisco and Lucia
are very small. They died very young too. Howold was Lucy? I think Lucia was… They were

(21:25):
10, 9 and 7. These children. Now, as a priest, all right. I see this many times, some parents,
they don't want to frighten their children. So they never bring their children to a wake,
for example. Because well, to see a dead body, someone who passed away, it's going to frighten

(21:47):
my child, et cetera, et cetera. Now think aboutit. If you're a mother, if you're a father,
you have the responsibility to start and toeducate and to introduce your... child, your
son, your daughter to the realities of life. And of course life is a lot of joy, there's

(22:08):
a lot of light, but there's also the aspectof suffering and of death. And tragedy too.
And tragedy. So it's important, it's importantto start preparing your child, all right, to
the realities of life by, you know, if the opportunityarises, all right, bring them to awake. bring

(22:28):
them to experience a dead person. You will bedoing what Our Lady of Fatima did by speaking
of hell because she not only spoke of hell,Our Lady opened up a curtain and the three
seers saw hell, which is much worse than death. They saw and they experienced it. They saw

(22:53):
the souls or what they thought was fire anyways,it was something horrible. Well, he talked
about it as being like snow being blown intoa blast furnace. So that's how the souls were
going in. Going into this furnace. No, it's...There is here a phrase by Saint Jacinta that

(23:13):
is very little known. She at a certain momentgoes and says, how sorry I am for the souls
who go to hell. And even some... Francisco,he also says, poor sinners, we must pray and
make many sacrifices for them. You see, theyare urging everyone to be aware of this. They

(23:36):
are small and they are just how important. Sothis is something that we have to ponder upon.
Remember, you meditate on your four last thingsand you will not sin. And one of the four last
things is hell. We have to meditate particularjudgment on the general judgment and on also

(23:57):
heaven and hell. So this is something that isimportant. And Our Lady found it so important
that she showed it to the children so that thechildren would speak to it to us so that we
would be invited also to consider that. Pleaseconnect to the next part of these unknown commentaries
by the three little shepherds, Our Lady. Ata certain moment she asks them... She says,

(24:21):
sacrifice yourselves for sinners and say manytimes, oh Jesus, it is for love of you for
the conversion of sinners and in reparationfor the sins committed against the immaculate
heart of Mary. And then she even goes, for manysouls go to hell because there are none to
sacrifice themselves or to pray for them. There'snobody to sacrifice themselves. There's nobody

(24:46):
to pray for these souls, these poor sinners. So these poor sinners, they don't receive sufficient
help, spiritual help, graces, through our sacrifices, our prayers, in order to convert. And so what
happens is that they fall into despair. Andso they fall into despair and they flee from

(25:09):
God when they do appear in front of him. Soit's a reality, it's something that's very
serious. And so this is why, once again, parents, should teach their children to embrace suffering,
not to flee suffering, but to learn to loveto suffer. Because suffering is part of life,

(25:35):
and suffering can be very beneficial. As a priest,I'm always celebrating Mass. And what is Mass?
Mass is a sacrifice, an uncruant sacrifice.bloodless sacrifice, but it's a sacrifice,
the holy sacrifice of mass. So I'm always kindof sacrificing. I'm always offering prayers,

(25:58):
offering sacrifices for the salvation of thepoor souls, for all those people, for you and
us, for you and me, but also for those who havefallen away from the church. This is, this
is our lady's appeal. Well, there she goes, our lady. She was even further. If my requests
are heeded, many souls will be saved. and therewill be peace. Yes, so this is the solution.

(26:21):
So you see, Our Lady wants us, doesn't wantus to be part of the problem. All right, Our
Lady doesn't want to be part of the problem. She wants us to be part of the solution. All
right, so many problems in the world right nowthat, you know, let's be part of the solution.
So let's therefore answer the call of Our Ladyand the solution is found in prayer, is found

(26:45):
in offering sacrifices. Sacrifice is what isa sacrifice? Sacrifice is a renouncing of oneself.
You renounce yourself out of love, you see,as our Lord renounced himself, right? He submitted
to his Father out of love in order to redeemmankind. So this is what we are called to do.

(27:10):
And there is one more Father here, is Russia.Because if you follow the daily news, Right?
And the present situation, at least at the momentwhen we are recording here, this, this episode,
brother Justin, let's, let's see what brotherJustin comments on, on Russia there, because
it's, it's something that is very, we need toremember. If not, our lady says Russia will

(27:31):
be converted and there will be peace if peopleheed our ladies requests. If not, Russia will
spread her errors throughout the world, promotingwars and persecutions to the church. The, well,
good will be martyred, will be sacrificed, theHoly Father will have much to suffer, several

(27:51):
nations will disappear, will be annihilated. There's a lot of points here. Russia became
a focal point of this materialist, anti-Catholic,anti-religion, so much so that when it began
to invade other countries, Poland, Czech Republic,Slovakia, Austria, all these different countries.

(28:13):
They persecuted the church in a really terribleway. Croatia, places like that. And it's errors.
And that's the key. It wasn't necessarily justthe flag of Russia. It was the errors. So if
you look at China, those are the errors of Russia. If you look at North Korea, that's the errors
of Russia. All the wars in the past 50 years,60 years. This is all, but what's interesting

(28:36):
is that what were some of the main errors ofRussia? Well, it was the godless materialism.
And you look at our fair country of Canada,or just look at North America to make it an
equal opportunity. We are as materialistic asSoviet Russia was. We are as atheistic. All

(28:58):
those things, the difference is that it's notimposed by a soldier in boots, but that attitude.
So the errors of Russia have spread throughoutthe world. And they have spread wars and persecution.
You look at China, you look at so many placesin the world where the church is persecuted,
where people are not safe to go to mass, notsafe to practice the faith. So in reality,

(29:22):
that very thing that we were supposed to prayfor a generation ago, two generations ago,
has come to pass. With or without a flag, butthe errors have spread. What's interesting
is that Lucy, when she was told this, she wasvery worried because she didn't know what Russia
was. She thought it was a woman. And she wentto the priest and said, we have to find this

(29:45):
Mrs. Russia, because she's got terrible thingsin the world. Kind of find her before she does
these terrible things, which actually provesthe validity of what she's saying. She's being
very truthful. Okay. So this is something that'svery important for us to take with us. The
this element of Russia, just because the IronCurtain fell, means nothing because that materialism

(30:08):
is so much apart from it. It's spread, it'salready in the world. It's an infection, it's
already out there. Most of the audience thatlistens to us are people who are very concerned
about spirituality and that's why they put uphalf an hour with this conversation, right?
But maybe if we could close with this commentaryby Saint Francisco Fatima, he goes and says,
I want to consult our Lord. Imagine Noah andsays, I will stay here in the church, close

(30:35):
to the hidden Jesus. What about you? Well, Ithink that's the solution. It's the Eucharistic
Jesus. Francisco spent the last months, yearsof his short life just praying, just praying,
rosary after rosary after rosary. Why? Because, well, he just wanted to... to imitate, to obey

(31:03):
our lady. So let's therefore imitate Francisco.Let's convince ourselves that the solution
to everything in order to be able to make adifference in this world is to pray. And that
prayer has to be put into action, into charity, into evangelizing, into wanting to do something.
All right? So a lot of people are denouncingthings. Let's start announcing things. Let's

(31:30):
start announcing the good news. All this denouncing, all this criticism, all this negativism. We'll
become total negativists. No, we are triumphalists. We are Christians, we are Catholics. Christ
already resurrected. He won death. He won overthe devil. So let's convince ourselves of this

(31:55):
positive aspect and let's evangelize. believein the words of our lady, let's believe in
Fatima and this message will transform us. Beautifulpromise. In the end, my maculate heart will
triumph. Very well. So let's end therefore,Brother Gustavo, giving a blessing to the brothers

(32:17):
and to all those who are with us here todayfor this podcast. The Lord be with you. And
with your spirit. May Almighty God bless you,Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
