This week Chris uses AI to try and solve the mystery of a long-forgotten childhood film, and predictably AI gets it wrong. No matter, we watch Explorers anyway, a black hole in our collective nostalgia knowledge, in which Ethan Hawke, River Phoenix and some other guy make their film debuts, spend a long time building a spaceship, and then make first contact in the least climactic way possible.
Next week, we finally watch Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home to celebrate Time Travel is Dangerous hitting streaming platforms.
