(00:06):
Hey guys, and welcome to this episode of the
self-development collective.
So this is a Q&A episode.
So the Q&A episodes.
I have a Google form below where you can
add a question and then I will eventually
answer in a podcast.
So kind of like a mini creature session
again, you're anonymous but I do share the

(00:27):
response as a podcast episode.
So if you have a question that you'd like
some support around at the moment, make
sure to check out the form below and make
sure to jump on our email list or subscribe
whether you're on the podcast or YouTube
just to make sure that you know, when the
answer to the question comes up, okay, so
this person left
A question. Okay.

(00:48):
So this person
um wrote this so there is a time in my life
this past few years.
I've been thinking about life and what is
going to be and I always tell myself that
it is okay to not be. Okay.
Sometimes when life throws the worst
situations at me at this moment.
I'm currently working as a so this person's
a factory worker.
I'm not gonna say the country because they

(01:10):
do leave the country,
um for almost five years and I have not yet
been for a vacation back to my hometown.
So I'm searching for what's the best life
advice? I'm going to follow so that I can
start thinking straight towards my goal and
I always wanted to improve myself, but I
don't know where or when I'm gonna start
because of my work schedule as a factory

(01:30):
worker.
My time at work is very tight. So
Thank you so much for leaving this
question.
So basically what I would love to share
with you is questions that I have used time
and time again to help me get clear on
like, you know when I felt lost or what
kind of Direction I want to go in.
So I'm Gonna Leave You these questions now,

(01:52):
it sounds like your schedule's super busy.
So these are questions that you can
literally just keep in your mind think
about at work and then maybe like dot
things like a couple of things down when
you get home just ideas that have come to mind.
So these are really easy questions.
You can literally just think about them
while yeah, we're at work.
If you have a little bit of time,
um, just you know, as you're working that

(02:14):
help that just hurting in on who we want to
be what direction we want to go on what
kind of life that we want to have.
So the first question is
What would a truly prosperous life look
like and feel like for you where and how
would you live and how would you feel about
yourself?
The second question is what would your

(02:35):
relationships be like?
The next question is what kind of work or
creative expression would you have?
What experiences are you having living this
life? Where do you see yourself? Who's
there? And what does that look like?
When you sit with yourself and see your
most aligned self, what does that person

(02:55):
look like? What do they think about
themselves? What's important to them? What
are their values?
How would a typical day in your life
unfold? What are you doing day to day?
How would you feel at the end of your day?
So if you're feeling like, you know, you
want somewhere to start you don't know
which direction you want to go in.

(03:16):
These questions are really helpful.
They get us to think and again, these are
questions.
I've used myself.
They get us to start thinking not just
about what we want.
But I think who we want to be and then so
my suggestion would be to work with these
questions.
I'm literally like I said in your mind
while you're at work just thinking about it
see what comes up for you start to hash out.
You know, what you think you want your life

(03:37):
to look like and feel like and be like and
what you want to experience and then start
thinking about little things you can do to
take a step towards that now that's not
saying that these the these ideas or the
answers to these questions wearing change
over time because they absolutely will you
know, we changes people but it gives us a
somewhere to start and be something to work

(03:58):
towards in the sense like taking those
little steps.
So, you know, if you know that your day
wants to look a certain way what's like one
small thing that you can start with?
And then this is what happens or this is in
my experience.
What I what's happened with me when I've
said a direction and then I've started to
take action the obstacles come up, right
the limiting beliefs like those parts of us

(04:19):
that are scared those parts that you know
that we might bring in from childhood or
you know, those things that we might really
struggle with like for me, for example, you
know that you might know that I talk about
the bound about boundaries and inner critic
quite a bit and that's because those have
been my biggest obstacles.
Those are the obstacles that I know well
and I think that when we start taking
Direction,
um start taking action towards a direction

(04:41):
those obstacles come up and then we start
to learn more about ourselves and I think
the inner growth happens from there like
now looking back when I think about my
life, I see how many times I've gone back
and thought about the direction and you
know, sometimes it stay the same and over
time it's shifted and that's just giving me
The opportunity to to make moves take

(05:01):
action little things and then from there
I've been able to do the inner work because
of what comes up and I think that's the
best part.
You know, I I struggle a little bit with
the idea when people say like oh get rid of
your limiting beliefs and you know, I'm get
rid of the inner critic like I think that
all those obstacles are so valid and so
great to experience because they teach us

(05:21):
so much about ourselves and they teach us,
you know, they give us so much in a growth. So,
um, I think that's really that's where I
would start I would be working on those
questions answering those questions sitting
with them seeing what you know, again who
we want to be and then from there taking
action and then starting to work through
the obstacles that come up and mainly when

(05:42):
I refer to the obstacles I refer to
honestly mainly to mind it ones and sort of
emotional sort of sort of obstacles.
So I usually because for me those have been
my biggest, you know, like I said
boundaries and in a Critic definitely the
hardest for me, so
I think working through that.
So that's what I would start with.
So this has been like a super short and

(06:04):
sharp episode.
But I think that's important to keep this
short because you know you if you get too
many steps that I know for me that's
overwhelming and it just makes us feel
further away.
So at the moment I would focus again just
on answering those questions and choosing
one small thing you can do for yourself to
get there.
So thank you so much for asking the
question.
Thank you for listening and I will catch
you in the next episode.
