>> Skylar (00:10):
Hello, weary traveler. I'm not sure what
strange magic must have brought you here, but you have
stepped into a realm of my creation. A,
ah, sprawling city filled with danger and
glory, and most importantly, lots of
gold. I call it Isan
Numis. Who am I, you might ask?
The name is Jariv, and I'm the patron
(00:32):
deity of gambling. Long story
short, this group of idiots, or as
you may call them, heroes, made a bet with me that
they had what it took to make a mass trove of gold,
but left some.
Of the key details blank.
So I filled them in myself. I sent
them to this pocket dimension into the city I
(00:53):
had created with brand new bodies they'd
have to attune to.
Can these fools pass my test, or.
Will they be trapped here forever? So experience my world
of trials and tribulations and join
alongside this posse of pitiful people.
Or as I like to call them, the criminals
of Isan Numis.
(01:15):
Welcome back everybody, to another episode of Sessions zero
Heroes. Production of Criminals of
Isaumis it seems kind of unfair to call it a production when
I mean we're producing it, but at the same time, I mean, it's just
actual play. Like, I mean, this isn't scripted, but I guess an
improv is also a production to some extent.
So anyways, with that being said, I am
Skylar. I'm your game master for
(01:37):
this series. To my right, we've got Dave, who
is playing Mai, the, Cancku
sorcerer. Next to him we got Fatty Lumpkins.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (01:46):
Who is playing a Cobold Echo Night.
>> Skylar (01:49):
A Cobold Echo Night named. That wasn't the part I was held up
on.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (01:52):
Named Kido.
>> Skylar (01:53):
Kto. Thank you. There's. See
what? His real name. I don't know why I was even
attempting, but it's long
Ichthoglyr skin. Yes,
yes. Kto. Which isn't even what it'd
normally be. Fo would be the nickname for that, but that's for like the
character you became. Bikito was your
original. Yeah. Name. next to him with
(02:15):
only one name. Well, actually that's not true either, but I
digress. Quinn playing Lil Sauce. next to
him we got Jackson, who's playing Des.
I don't know. Why do we always used to accidentally say Dex
or something?
>> Quinn (02:27):
I remember.
>> Skylar (02:28):
We always messed it up. Anyway, glad I didn't this time.
And then finally, next to Jackson, we have
Cameron, who is playing Roick
the goblin. Also, Des is also a
Kenu and Little Sauce is a goblin.
So. No, you're also a Kenu.
>> Quinn (02:43):
I'm a Kenu who learned language from
my, fallen brother and McGrill.
>> Cameron (02:48):
But only for slurs.
>> Skylar (02:51):
And, all of us together make up what is
known as criminals of Isla Numz.
When last we left things off, you guys had
just paid a lot of money to
bail Little Sauce out of prison
so that he could join your group as you guys lead up to
(03:14):
his court case, which is now in two and a half
days. At this point, you, spent half the day
getting him all the paperwork and everything, process for the
bail. So you have two and a half days left. Now, I had talked
to you guys before about options and
opportunities that you have, to use this time
that you. That you have moving forward so
you can spend. I'm just going to run through the options with you
(03:36):
guys. Obviously, it's not a limited list. You guys can pitch me
other ideas, but just running through the ideas real
quick.
>> Quinn (03:42):
Right?
>> Skylar (03:43):
You have two and a half days. You can spend half a day to spy on the defense.
This is the defense attorney. This is, them meeting
with their client. you can spend a
f. Wa.
>> Quinn (03:52):
Wait, where're the defense?
>> Skylar (03:54):
Oh, you're right, sorry. Spying on the
prosecution.
>> Quinn (03:58):
So all of this was,
very confused for saying.
>> Skylar (04:02):
Yeah, no, that's totally fair. All of this was very, a lot
of details that Skylar had to learn about the entire. Every
DM recognizes this concept that, like, your players
want to do something and then you have to, like,
overmpicatedlyly research the crap out of
it. Just like. And yes, I'm bringing it back into
play. I don't want to hear about it until we're done with this court case
at least. Yes, I did a lot of research on
(04:24):
Renaissance era banking after you guys
asked if banks were insured. Lot
of research to find out whether or not they were
insured. So, anyway, back to now. Okay,
so one day.
>> Cameron (04:36):
I don't think on the record, you've ever said if they were. Did.
Did banks have insurance?
>> Skylar (04:43):
Technically, no. Yes.
That's. You were hoping.
>> Quinn (04:47):
No.
>> Cameron (04:47):
Wanted.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (04:47):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (04:48):
I wasnna say you wanted it to be ins.
>> Cameron (04:49):
We wanted to commit insurance fraud, buy.
A bank, then rob ourselves.
>> Skylar (04:52):
Yeah. You were going to bank fraud yourself.
>> Cameron (04:54):
Insurance take off.
>> Skylar (04:56):
Yeah.
>> Cameron (04:56):
I was thinking we rob a bank, and then
the people who owned the bank were just kind of like suffering.
>> Skylar (05:02):
They're desolate because of you. Yeah, that's the reality of the
situation. I think, like, official banks probably would be. If
the official banks exist, then yes, I think they'probably I mean, if it.
>> Cameron (05:11):
Was a bank of a bling amino.
>> Skylar (05:13):
See, and this is why I don't wa. Want to get into it. We'll save this discussion for later. Cause
I'll go into it. I'll go ah, into. You said you didn't want to kill.
I know.
Four case.
>> Cameron (05:20):
And now we're here.
>> Skylar (05:20):
So back to the court trial. You have two and a half days. Half day.
You could spend, spying on the
prosecution. You could find out what. What their plan is, what they're going to
do for the court case. Right. You can spend a day tampering
with the evidence. Now, here's the problem is you guys might
have an idea of some of the evidence, but you don't know where it's at,
etc. So there's a good chance that spying on
(05:41):
the prosecution is going to be key to then lead
into tampering with the evidence. Right. another option,
tampering with third parties. I can't get too
far into what that means because again, this
is something that will come out of either spying on people or
finding out more details about the court system in this world. but
there are potentially third parties involved. You might be
(06:01):
able to throw them off in some way. you can spend a
day intimidating witnesses. You guys met all the
witnesses. but it would take you an entire day to try to,
like, figure out where they are, who they are,
what they do, and then be able to actually do
something to cause problems for them or
convince them in some way to take your side. Who knows?
(06:21):
Sorry, that's witnesses. Same, thing goes for
the jury. When I say take their side, that's what I meant.
Jury members. You can do stuff with them.
Those are kind of like the primary things I had thought of. Like I
said, not a limited list. You guys can do other things to
kind of deal with this.
Oh, procuring fake witnesses and evidence. we
(06:42):
out of game, are fairly aware
that, Feather McGregor, aka Lil Sauce,
is, actually pretty involved in the crimes that he's
being accused of. So in game,
you're working to kind of find ways to prove
that he wasn't, which in technically would be lying.
So that's why I say procuring fake witnesses.
>> Quinn (07:01):
Allegedly.
>> Skylar (07:02):
Yeah. Or throwing the, word allegedly around a lot. But whatever the
case, I want to shut up because I want to hear what you guys
are planning next and.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (07:10):
Little saucies with us.
>> Skylar (07:11):
Waiky's no longer in the jail right at this moment.
You guys are. I'm gonna say you guys are right. Outside the
courthouse with, little sauce.
No longer with shackles on his wrist.
>> Quinn (07:22):
What are the, rules if the prosecution fails to show
up?
>> Skylar (07:26):
If the prosecution fails to show up, then
the court trial will be pushed until
a new. Like, you mean the attorney
or the client?
>> Fatty Lumpkins (07:37):
The client. Dead.
>> Skylar (07:38):
If the client were dead, I. I.
>> Quinn (07:41):
Mean, it would just be the prosecutor. It be the state,
basically.
>> Skylar (07:44):
Not in this situation. No.
>> Dave (07:46):
Lord Pendleton's estate.
>> Skylar (07:48):
Right. Because they're, well, to some extent the state.
You've been arrested because you publicly had evidence
against you. But then they have the actual, like,
party of. I believe Mrs. Pendleton was, on
their. And maybe she's just a witness, but whatever the case.
Yeah, okay.
So, yeah, it would be disapp.
>> Quinn (08:04):
So M. Mrs. Pelatton weren't. Or not des.
>> Skylar (08:06):
Well, she's just a witness then. Yeah. If the prosecution
attorney were not to show up, they would just
prolong your period of
leading up to a new trial where they would bring in a new
prosecution.
>> Quinn (08:18):
What if the jury was to not show up? The whole jury?
>> Cameron (08:21):
The whole jury. They'd
probably just pick more jury.
>> Skylar (08:25):
The courthouse. You are, right outside the doors of the courthouse.
>> Quinn (08:28):
All right, so who was the Slicer working with?
>> Skylar (08:30):
Who was the Slicer working with?
>> Quinn (08:32):
I mean, no, who was the gang he was part of?
I can't remember.
>> Skylar (08:36):
Oh, he did mention being involved with the
Thieves Guild.
>> Quinn (08:39):
The Thieves Guild? So what if we were to, do some work for the
Thieves Guild in return? The
Thieves Guild does some work for us.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (08:48):
I don't know if the Thieves Guild would be huge fans of us
either, because didn't we kill their
slicer?
>> Quinn (08:54):
Yeah. I mean, I feel like they got.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (08:56):
A respect as kind point multiple enemies.
>> Quinn (08:58):
I feel like they got to respect us at that point.
We could pay them some money. How much money we all got?
>> Cameron (09:05):
We just spent it all.
What do you think the Thieves Guild would do for us?
>> Quinn (09:09):
I have 0 I sift
614 gold pieces. Give them
some money and do something for them
in return. They do something for us.
>> Cameron (09:20):
So they don't have an evidence
list.
>> Skylar (09:23):
But you could spy on the prosecution to find out
what evidence they have.
>> Cameron (09:28):
Why didn't they charge you with u.
>> Quinn (09:31):
Pretty much everything under the sun.
>> Cameron (09:33):
On what accounts?
>> Quinn (09:34):
all of them.
>> Cameron (09:35):
No, like, what proof did they have you did at
all? Because they can't just arrest you just to arrest.
>> Quinn (09:41):
I believe it was just witnesses, wasn't it? Witness testimony.
>> Skylar (09:43):
I mean, they literally found the carriage with the
horses stolen from the Pendleton estate parked behind your
house.
>> Quinn (09:50):
Oh, yeah. It was purping on your house.
>> Skylar (09:51):
And then. And then from there, they were able to get a
warrant to enter your house, where they found the
jars and the books
and other kind of personal items from the
Pendleton estate.
>> Cameron (10:03):
Well, o. So what thatine hearing is. They
arrested you on evidence they obtained
while we were in a different part.
>> Quinn (10:11):
Of town for three days straight saving children.
>> Cameron (10:14):
Who's this say it wasn't planted.
>> Quinn (10:16):
It was planted by Big Sauce.
>> Cameron (10:18):
Okay, here's next question. Do they have a
witness? Did. Was there anyone alive
at any of the scene of crimes? There was T. The
lady.
>> Quinn (10:27):
She didn't see anything.
>> Cameron (10:28):
Did you see anyone? Did anyone see the lady? I
don't think she saw.
>> Quinn (10:32):
She heard you. Me? Yeah, I think it was
you.
>> Cameron (10:35):
Des holds up, a sign that says we tricked her into
believing that we were her husband.
She was down f. We did that? Yeah, we did.
It was. It was Maky.
>> Quinn (10:46):
He.
>> Cameron (10:47):
Maky.
He mimicked the guy's voice and.
You mimicked his voice and we tricked
his wife.
Yeah. Is that all you did?
>> Dave (10:57):
What are you inclineing.
>> Cameron (11:00):
Taking a things. You went upstairs. What?
I think you were justning, like, a bedroom or something.
>> Dave (11:06):
Yeah, I got. Oh, no. My cool hat
is gone. O. I knew I shouldn't have left that
at. At the house.
>> Cameron (11:13):
Where'd you get the cool hat?
>> Quinn (11:14):
It.
>> Dave (11:14):
It was one of those riding hats.
>> Cameron (11:16):
Oh, that's right.
>> Quinn (11:18):
We got more to worry about the hats here right now. I'm sorry.
>> Cameron (11:20):
Well, I'm just the g see her.
>> Dave (11:22):
I, may have caused a, minor
illusion.
>> Cameron (11:26):
So what'd you look like?
>> Dave (11:28):
Bndleton.
>> Cameron (11:29):
Wait, hold on. But he was dead outside.
>> Skylar (11:31):
He was dead in the alley.
>> Cameron (11:32):
He's dead. The alley. So he couldn't have gotten to
his house that night. Meaning
she saw not her husband,
but the guilty party. Little
Sauce doesn't look anything like her husband.
That means if we could find someone that looks
like her husband, we could say that person
(11:52):
framed Little Sauce. Or
even easier, you can. You can look
like him, right? You did it once. Who's the say? You
don't cast this spell. Pretend to be him again in the
court. We surprise witness you,
right? And then we get you arrested. But then when
you're in prison, you undo your disguise, and then
(12:13):
we sneak you out. And now they're on the loose, looking for a man
that looks like. Not you.
>> Dave (12:18):
So you're saying this?
>> Quinn (12:20):
can I, Sorry. I don't mean you go in the court or go in
the courtouse. Get the state registry
and look up and see if he's got any, like
the yellow pages of the day or whatever.
>> Cameron (12:31):
O brother or something.
>> Quinn (12:32):
And see if he's got a brother.
>> Cameron (12:33):
That's a good idea. Like, yeah, we can see if he's got a
brother or.
>> Quinn (12:38):
Or uncle or cousin. The closest of Ken, he's
saying we.
>> Cameron (12:41):
Get his brother arrested or someone
or maybe, a manly sister.
>> Quinn (12:46):
We just under.
>> Cameron (12:48):
We pretend he's his brother.
>> Quinn (12:50):
Yeah, just. But we're got to see if he has one first.
>> Cameron (12:53):
Listen, you guys could probably
also just eavesdrop on
the prosecuting party and we would probably find
that out. Des writes on a post it note.
>> Skylar (13:04):
Right. Passes it around.
>> Cameron (13:06):
Sorying the continuity here.
>> Skylar (13:08):
Yeah, no, that's good. just. Just to clarify real quick, so that you guys are
aware, because I like that, you know, you have multiple ideas going. You
can split up the group to do different ones of
those options that I just mentioned to you guys. The chances
of success go up and down depending on how many people
are involved with it. So the more people you have involved, the more
likely it is to succeed because you work together. but that
(13:28):
doesn't mean that by splitting up,
you can't still do multiples of those things.
So, like something that's going to take a whole day, you could have somebody
doing that while the rest of you do something that takes a whole day
separately, and then that's only one day still.
>> Quinn (13:42):
Yeah, let's just go spy on the easiest way.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (13:45):
That seems like an obvious starting point.
>> Cameron (13:47):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (13:47):
So who all would like to go spy on
the prosecution? Are we splitting up the group or does everybody want
to go do it?
>> Cameron (13:54):
I think Des is on board with spying.
>> Skylar (13:57):
Okay. Anybody else? Who else wants to
spy?
>> Cameron (14:00):
Sure. Well, let's not break up the party
soon.
>> Quinn (14:03):
I absolutely should not be caught doing that.
>> Skylar (14:06):
That's a pretty fair point.
>> Quinn (14:08):
Will see. I will do research on local
family.
>> Cameron (14:11):
Maybe you should. Oh, yeah, look up local family.
>> Skylar (14:14):
I like that. That's good. I say that's a good half day.
research. Yeah. Okay. Like, that's
exactly what I was talking about. Like, what's. I don't know. There's other
ways that I can't think of that you guys might think of. So I like that.
>> Cameron (14:25):
You also should go to your house because
you know your house better than us, and find
out what they all took into evidence.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (14:34):
Take an inventory of your house and anything that.
>> Quinn (14:37):
Waitit.
>> Skylar (14:37):
Wait.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (14:37):
Inventory.
>> Cameron (14:38):
It's like a. It's a backwards inventory. He's
taking inventory of what's gone.
>> Quinn (14:43):
If I If I knew what was gone then
I. If I didn't do it, I wouldn't know
what was there to begin with. What.
>> Cameron (14:51):
What I'm saying is we can prepare for everything
they bring up as evidence and then we can just keep pointing
it towards his brother or whoever. We're gonna be our
scapegoat because remember for the last three days
we were saving children in a different town
across the river. Yeah, good point, good point.
>> Dave (15:08):
Okay, I'd just say, I like the option that u
doesn't have me going to jail, so
I could be it.
>> Cameron (15:15):
I got a new disguy self spelling that level
up.
>> Skylar (15:19):
Ah.
>> Dave (15:19):
well, there you go.
>> Cameron (15:20):
I'll be the scapegoat. I'm skinny. I could
just slide through the barss.
>> Skylar (15:24):
Probably.
>> Cameron (15:25):
Probably not. But, u.
>> Skylar (15:26):
All right, so what I have right now is Cameron and
Jackson wantna go spy.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (15:30):
Did someboy did onea I will accompany them.
>> Skylar (15:32):
You'll accompany them as Keido Mai would.
>> Dave (15:35):
Like to go to
perhaps a bookore or a
local community college
oay and steal someone's law
book so that he has a bunch
of words he can throw out.
>> Skylar (15:52):
Big fancy. Okay, I like that. I like that.
>> Cameron (15:54):
And then he's gonna instruct a college student to read
them all aloud to him.
>> Skylar (16:00):
Actually get a big kick out of this idea.
>> Dave (16:01):
Maybe he'snna go, what do you call it? Aud audit a
law CL.
>> Skylar (16:07):
So he gets to sit in for free. He that's a
perfect thing to take up a half a day as well. I love that. That's great.
Alrigh. So Maki goes off to
fake audit his way through a, law class
so that he can gain some knowledge. But also
mostly more importantly, some fancy words said
by some old professor somewhere who knows what
(16:27):
he's talking about so that he can sound. And I'm going toa let you
do the research on legal
terminologies. Actually, I can you what I
have as far as like all the objections that you can make
and what for. I have that so I can help you
there.
Okay.
And then, Lil Sauce is going to
do some research at like the county office. He's going
(16:47):
to go back to where there's just like a mess of like
papers still being cleane the same place. Of course. It's the city
hall.
>> Quinn (16:53):
Oh no. I want to see also back at the house,
see what I can find. Might maybe someone
left something behind that they shouldn't have.
>> Skylar (17:01):
Absolutely. Or at the very least get information on maybe
what might have been taken fantastic. Okay, and then the
rest of you guys are going to be spending the half
day to spy on the prosecution. So the way this works
is there are going to be two different checks that I'm going to have you make
to determine, how much
you're going to gain or information potentially.
So, because there's three of you, I'm going to get
(17:24):
whichever one of you wants to make the stealth
check, do so, and you will get a plus two for the
other individuals that are helping you. And that's outside of,
obviously, whatever bonuses you already get. So who would like to make the
stealth check between the three of you?
>> Cameron (17:36):
Who's got the higher decks? I've got, my
Stealth'ten Okay.
>> Skylar (17:40):
I have a.
>> Cameron (17:41):
What I was about to say I have a plus 7 to stealth.
>> Skylar (17:44):
Holy cow.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (17:45):
Guys got symbols taped to my feet.
>> Skylar (17:49):
Compared to everybody else. All right, well, Cameron, would you like
to roll a stealth chec?
>> Cameron (17:54):
I like him. We're, like, trying to figure out the stealthy one. And me and
Des are like, m. We're both really quiet. And then
Keito'like I'm quiet. He comes stomping
into the.
He's like the symbol monkey.
>> Skylar (18:06):
All right, so, Cameron, you're going to be adding a total of plus
12, apparently, to this. So, I mean, unless you.
Unless you roll an absolute one.
>> Cameron (18:14):
That was a coc die between a one and a
19.
>> Skylar (18:17):
Okay'reroll that.
>> Cameron (18:19):
It leaned pretty heavy on the 1915
total.
Oh, wait, wait. 12.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (18:24):
17. 17.
>> Skylar (18:25):
an impressive success. All right, so this you guys
are able to sneak into. Oh, shoot.
So I don't know. Does anybody remember what name I gave the
lawyer guy? Okay, that's Fin. Egg Nows.
>> Cameron (18:36):
That's good.
>> Skylar (18:37):
His name is Egg Nows. Good God.
I gotta write that down.
>> Quinn (18:39):
You know, somebody's listening to this right now. His name was
Gregory.
>> Skylar (18:43):
What the heck?
>> Quinn (18:44):
Or something like that.
>> Skylar (18:45):
You guys break into Eggdy name their child
Egg? Yes.
>> Cameron (18:49):
Yeah, dude.
>> Skylar (18:50):
Yes.
>> Cameron (18:51):
He was a white guy that came out bald. And his parents are like, ha,
Egg.
>> Quinn (18:56):
I love that.
>> Skylar (18:57):
But he's not like an older guy. Like, he's just naturally.
>> Quinn (19:00):
And he wasn't the violent type. So he takes out his anger
because of his name and frustration on putting people in prison for your
life.
>> Cameron (19:07):
You know what? That's a healthy. It's healthier, you know?
>> Skylar (19:09):
I guess.
So anyway, you guys break into Eggnomesms
law office or law firm. And, you
guys successfully managed to sneak. I think you probably,
like, climbed the outer walls up to the
window where he practices his law. And
you can listen in and you hear him talking to
one of his assistants about the current case.
(19:31):
The question is, is how much you guys are go going toa be able to hear. So with
your success, you got an impressive success with the 17.
You get a plus three to your investigation
check again. Whichever one of you would like to be the one
to make that investigation check, it is up to you.
But you will get a plus three on top of your already existing
bonus.
>> Cameron (19:48):
That would put me in a plus seven for investigation
higher than me.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (19:53):
I have cymbols strapped to my feet and
cotton balls in my ears.
>> Cameron (19:58):
Are we adding ours alltogether for his.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (20:00):
Role or just his bself?
>> Skylar (20:01):
Well, what you guys achieved was giving him an extra
bonus. So he's rolling and getting plus 3.
>> Cameron (20:07):
13.
>> Skylar (20:07):
13. Okay. You learn three elements
that the prosecutor is planning on using
against you. as you hear the
prosecution discussing with his
assistant, he says,
all right, all right, all right. We've got
a few different, directions that I want to
(20:28):
go with. first of all, we're going toa
bring in the horses. We're
gonna call the horses to the witness stand,
and, I'm sure their testimony is gonna be
brilliant for, for that. so
make sure you guys have them well fed, ready to go
for, for the trial. We've got, I think,
(20:49):
four different horses. So u, make
sure they're all taken care of. let's see,
the second thing that we want to
use in this case
is, obviously the,
carriage as evidence, I think, is a pretty big
one. That's a pretty big one that we're going toa be able to slam him
on. I've got a spot friend, of mine
(21:11):
runs Steamway Carriages, Inc. Headquarter over at their
headquarters. they said they'd make a space for the carriage, keep it
safe there. so that shouldn't be any kind of a problem.
Let's see what else is on the docket for getting ready
for this. oh, u, do
you have everybody. Do we have
record that everybody's still in the morgue and their bodies are
(21:31):
preserved? And
assistant nods and confirms and he goes,
perfect, perfect. That's gonna be important as
well. And that's what you guys
hear before he dismisses the assistant
and starts just kind of scribbling and writing.
>> Cameron (21:47):
And what was that last thing?
>> Skylar (21:48):
he asked if all the bodies were preserved at
the morgue.
>> Cameron (21:52):
Got it.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (21:53):
So if we knew a couple magicians, they
could Tamper with the climate controls in the
morgue and speed the
decomposition process. Or just
behead them. One need to be a chemistry. Could
just slice off the head.
>> Cameron (22:08):
Then they got nothing to identify. If you slice off the head,
you can't talk to them anymore. They're
dead. They're ned.
Is that how speak with dead?
I't think that spell works anymore.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (22:19):
Oh, I didn't know that existed.
>> Cameron (22:20):
That clerics and wizards can cast. I think they need to have
their heads still attached. Or at least the head. If we just take
the heads and just ditch them in some river or
something. Or feed them to a dog.
>> Quinn (22:32):
Feed them to the horses.
>> Cameron (22:36):
Great idea. Great idea. Random person
who's standing right next to us.
It's a homeless dude.
>> Skylar (22:43):
Is just like.
What do you got? Freedom to the horse.
>> Cameron (22:46):
I'll put that right in my notebook. Thank
you.
>> Skylar (22:49):
Got it.
>> Quinn (22:50):
They locked me up for 20 back in.
In 22o.
>> Skylar (22:55):
Ye.
>> Cameron (22:55):
What'd you do?
>> Quinn (22:56):
I murdered.
>> Cameron (22:57):
Killed. But you're innocent, right?
>> Quinn (22:59):
I didn't do it.
>> Cameron (23:00):
Ye see, I never said I would. Neither did I.
Client.
>> Quinn (23:03):
Go get them, brother.
>> Cameron (23:05):
Go. Respect. hey, would you be
willing for real cheap, be able to take
a fall for our guy and go back in for like another
50 years or something?
>> Skylar (23:14):
50?
>> Cameron (23:15):
That means it's your second home. How good life is out
here? I mean, you're homeless. They give you three square meals
a day.
>> Quinn (23:22):
Can hear her like a persuasion on this guy.
>> Skylar (23:24):
No, no, this guy's not going toa.
>> Cameron (23:25):
Take a fall for you.
>> Skylar (23:26):
This guy is your creation.
>> Cameron (23:27):
Not. That's a
26.
>> Skylar (23:31):
This guy.
>> Quinn (23:31):
It's a 26. He can at least help him.
>> Skylar (23:34):
He said okay, okay, here. Here's what I'll say. This random homeless
guy's like, o. I'm.
Not gonna go down for you, but, u. What do you. What do you want? What do you want?
I could be a witness. You want me to say something?
>> Cameron (23:43):
Sure. I didn't even know that was an option.
>> Skylar (23:45):
Well, it technically is. Is an option. It's gonna take you a day to coach this
guy'n.
>> Cameron (23:49):
No, just follow us.
>> Skylar (23:50):
What? No. I got things to do. I got cans to collect.
>> Cameron (23:52):
I got one eagle with your name on it.
>> Skylar (23:55):
Okay.
>> Quinn (23:58):
All right.
>> Skylar (23:58):
It's more than I get in cans in a year.
>> Cameron (24:01):
By the way, what's your name?
>> Skylar (24:02):
More than I get in cans in 10 years.
>> Cameron (24:04):
What's your name?
>> Skylar (24:05):
Rumple Diltskin.
>> Cameron (24:07):
Nice. I love that name. Rumple
Diltskin. I like this guy.
>> Skylar (24:12):
Did you already pay him the 20 gold like I Mean, I guess. Are you taking
it off your char'care?
>> Quinn (24:16):
Okay, It's a family name.
>> Cameron (24:17):
Whatever keeps this guy happy.
>> Skylar (24:19):
All right, you've got rumple Dilts again. It's gonna if
you want him to actually play a part in this, it's going toa take
you a day to train this guy and give him
a rundown of what he you want him to do.
>> Quinn (24:30):
Oh, he's got two days or two and a half days with so it doesn't
you.
>> Skylar (24:33):
I mean, you can just put one person on this job.
>> Cameron (24:36):
He's taking. He's 100% taking the fall for this
thing. I put him on the stand full. I'm blaming him
for everything.
We just disguise him as the as.
The guy'brother I'not evennna bother disguising
them. This going to be like this, man.
They're gonna use the horses as witnesses.
>> Quinn (24:56):
How is you just make them talk.
>> Cameron (24:57):
Speak with animals. Speak with animals is a very common
spell. You get it like level one.
This is the horses.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (25:04):
Are these the horses that we or.
>> Skylar (25:06):
Did horses see you one did.
>> Cameron (25:09):
Which ones did we kill?
We burn the stables. We burn the
wagon yardah. We burn it. All right, one
more thing.
>> Quinn (25:17):
Can like speak with stonewallls too? Like, come on.
It's cheating.
>> Cameron (25:22):
I knew I should have been a druid.
>> Quinn (25:24):
Does anybody got any sp rive them.
>> Cameron (25:26):
With hay or something to yes, could speak with animals.
Rangers could speak with animals.
>> Skylar (25:44):
So end of the day mai, you definitely get a whole bunch
of fun terminologies. again, I'm gonna let you kind of
find out decide what that I would say.
>> Dave (25:52):
His goal would have been yes, to listen in on
the class, but to steal a, textbook?
>> Skylar (25:58):
Oh, yeah, yeah, you can. Oh, dude, I feel like one of
the students is like, man, I freaking hate this class and just
throws his book away. And then you just pull it out of the
trash and you've got a law book. And the dude's like, oh, my
father's Duke Archibald Reginald Montgomery
Cavendish. And let's just say I'm too good for
this. And he throws his law book away and
walks out. And as he does, he says who wants to party at my
(26:21):
dad's house? And disappears off the
distance with a other bunch of other party
jocks.
>> Dave (26:27):
All right, a party.
>> Skylar (26:30):
Markey spends another half day attending a college
very no. but yeah, you get a law book. And of course you
had the law class as well. Lil Sauce,
you are able to find out that
he, Pendleton had no other family.
In fact, if you Remember back when you guys were at his
house grabbing it? you'll remember that
it was. Aside from his wife, which he had pictures
(26:52):
of he and his wife like dramatically riding
horses. That was the only kind of imagery
throughout the entire house was either just horses or him and his
wife and horses. And when you check the record'like
it's not that his family's dead. He just doesn't really have like a whole lot
of branches to his family. It's a pretty. Just like
straight down tree to the point where you almost wonder if like
(27:12):
there's some, What's the word?
>> Quinn (27:13):
Incest.
>> Skylar (27:14):
Incest going on.
>> Cameron (27:15):
Almost.
>> Skylar (27:15):
Who knows?
>> Quinn (27:16):
I just threw that out there. Being a smart do guy. And that's what you're
actually.
>> Skylar (27:19):
That's actually what I was going for. Yeah.
>> Quinn (27:21):
Interesting.
>> Skylar (27:21):
Yeah, it's gross.
>> Quinn (27:23):
But anyways, we do not condone this and hear a
coin.
>> Skylar (27:26):
Right, Right.
>> Quinn (27:27):
Just to Clearari's for story purposes or.
>> Skylar (27:29):
Session zero hero as a whole, in case that's been mentioned. Actually it
has been mentioned in one of our other series.
>> Cameron (27:34):
Incest.
>> Skylar (27:35):
Yeah, it was in Benders and Brus.
>> Cameron (27:36):
Ah.
>> Skylar (27:37):
There was a joke about a brother sister thing, but was.
It was just a joke. We do not condone Inc. Anyway, let's move
on. Anyway, that's what you find out there. aside from that,
things that you, notice have been removed
or kind of cross referencing some of
the things that they mentioned. As far as the charges go. Okay.
we have the five counts of felony murder, which
(27:58):
would include three guards,
Lord Pendleton and the guy
that was on the carriage. Cause I think you can go collect.
Like you might not be able to get the evidence and the witnesses like
Roke tried to do, but I think you could get kind of a breakdown of
the charges. Right. Those are the five murders.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (28:14):
Didn't we murder the gangster dude?
>> Quinn (28:17):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (28:18):
So the reason why they were kind of iffy on that one was
because he was a known criminal and they assumed that
he died during the fight. And they're notn. The
state's not going to press charges on the death of a known criminal
doing criminal activity. It just seems backwards.
>> Cameron (28:32):
Oh, so then Lord Pendleton should also not be one of
the charges. Got him.
Now see, the thing is though, is he's wealthy.
Oh, dang it. Yeah, that's the probleming of the criminal,
which is criminal activity. So what you just stated.
>> Skylar (28:45):
But they don't know that. They don't know. They're just they. As far as they're
aware, he was jumped in the alley
Anyway, one count of first degree armed
robbery, which was the actual assault and
theft in the alleyway that led to the murder.
So, as in you pulled weapons on Pendleton
and his men in an attempt to rob them. One
count of first degree theft.
(29:08):
This is where it comes in, the items. Now, I say first
degree theft because it's supposed to be up to a
certain value of money, of things
stolen, as opposed to each individual thing stolen, which is
interesting, because in copyright law, it's like, per
infraction. But in this case, I believe, as
I understand, you stole things from his personal
estate, adding up to the value of first degree
(29:30):
theft when I'm understand.
>> Quinn (29:31):
That wasn't me, that was him. Point of these guys.
>> Skylar (29:34):
Yeah, exactly. Jars of horse seamen. a number
of them. Horses, I believe,
to a cart, which you
attached the horses to when you guys made your escape.
And then various personal items from the estate,
including hats, jewelry,
books, and, I believe, food
(29:55):
items out of his fridge.
And then just to top off that fact, because I,
like, scoured every, like, criminal
charge that existed, and I'm like.
What else kind of slam him with.
Was, one count of trespassing, which I think is just a
misdemeanor, but obviously you would have had to trespass on
the estate in order to steal things.
>> Cameron (30:15):
Our goal is to get him down to just the trespassing.
>> Skylar (30:17):
You can get him down just to the trespassing charge. You'll be
like, boom, community service.
>> Cameron (30:23):
Yes.
>> Skylar (30:23):
And you'll be like, I plead the 28.
>> Cameron (30:26):
I can't do it.
>> Skylar (30:27):
I can't. I won't do it. Just give me what the 28.
Anyway, so you guys have completed your
first half day, which puts you at two days
until the trial. What would you like to do?
>> Cameron (30:38):
Ariel sitting in the house?
>> Skylar (30:40):
Yeah, I think you're all at little Sauce's house at this point, which
is a bit empty. And the little bit that's there
is thrown about.
>> Cameron (30:46):
So what's missing?
>> Skylar (30:48):
Well, do you want me to just restate it all?
Okay. Jars of horse sen. Horses cart.
Various personal items from the estate, including
hats, jewelry, books,
food items. And I believe there might have been some paintings as
well.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (31:02):
yes, I did take some tintings and a
clipboard.
>> Skylar (31:06):
Sure. Yeah.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (31:06):
Well, yeah, the clipboard lost on the.
>> Cameron (31:09):
That's gonna be the nail, man.
>> Skylar (31:11):
It was gonna be one count of first degree, theft,
but we'll make it one and a half because he took a clipboard,
and that would have put it over. Over the max limit.
>> Cameron (31:19):
It would be funny if we'in the courtroom, and they'listening everything that
was robbed. And then, like, they finished and went. That's all. And then
ca. Goes. And a. Clipboards.
Don't forget the clipboard.
>> Skylar (31:30):
And they're like, boom, Guilty. And also, arrest those
guys. Okay. All right. There you go. That's the scene.
>> Quinn (31:36):
Well, he, has, like, no family
whatsoever. Wait, who's this guy?
>> Cameron (31:40):
Oh, this is Rumple Diltkin.
>> Skylar (31:45):
I didn't really.
>> Quinn (31:46):
I didn't say that.
>> Cameron (31:47):
Oh, he's gonna be a witness. And he said
he's willing to say anything on the stand for us. That
is true.
Des passes Rumple a note that
says, because if you plead guilty,
you get three square meals a day and free
housing.
I said that already.
>> Skylar (32:05):
I understand.
I was there for 22 years,
and, I'm not doing it againuse there's other stuff
that you get in there that you don't want.
>> Cameron (32:15):
So Des passes him a note again, and the note
just says, you want.
>> Skylar (32:19):
It not from anyone in there.
>> Cameron (32:21):
Oh, interesting.
>> Skylar (32:21):
I want to be out in the real world to have the freedom to find
who I want it from.
>> Quinn (32:25):
How does that work out for you?
>> Skylar (32:27):
I'm getting there. I got time. I'm only. I'm
only 63.
>> Cameron (32:31):
This is completely random, but Rumple Dildtskins,
charged with murder. Well, found guilty of murder. That
was a while ago, so completely irrelevant.
>> Skylar (32:39):
So I heard you did it. He smiles.
He's a big, toothy smile.
>> Cameron (32:43):
Oh, he's innocent. Just like you were,
>> Skylar (32:45):
Oh.
>> Quinn (32:45):
Oh, yeah.
>> Cameron (32:46):
Innocent.
>> Skylar (32:47):
He's winking at you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't carry the weight.
They didn't offer me the. I had nobody from the
persecutions. Talk to me. So I don't care.
>> Quinn (32:56):
I'll give you, Give you 100 gold. And if you murder
somebody in'even done wa.
>> Skylar (33:01):
I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that.
I am here for you to tell me what to
say for 20 gold, and then I go say it.
And then I take my 20 gold and I spend it on
the things I want.
>> Cameron (33:14):
Yep.
>> Skylar (33:14):
That I do not have to share with you guys.
>> Cameron (33:16):
That's fine. I don't care.
>> Quinn (33:18):
You want 100 golden not to kill somebody.
>> Skylar (33:20):
I don't do that no more.
>> Cameron (33:21):
I thought you didn't do it.
>> Skylar (33:22):
u. Yeah, I don't do that no more. From the
day I was born, I.
>> Cameron (33:26):
See a winking at me when my mom died.
>> Skylar (33:28):
And then my dad said that was my fault, so I don't do it
no more. That's what I meant. Wink, wink.
>> Cameron (33:34):
O okay, got it. So, u what's there to eat around
you? Nothing. They took all my food.
>> Skylar (33:39):
Oh, man, you guys ow us in the streets?
Too bad.
You.
Wait, you said you did pay him already.
>> Cameron (33:44):
I did pay you early.
>> Skylar (33:45):
I'm gonna go out and get some.
>> Cameron (33:46):
To eat you guys later. I don't care. Just show back
up here tomorrow morning.
>> Skylar (33:50):
You got it, boss.
He winks at y for evidence.
>> Cameron (33:54):
They've got horses as
witnesses, a carriage as evidence,
and they're going toa use the bodies as evidence. And I'm
pretty sure they're going to do a speak with the dead spell on
them.
Can I roll like arcana to know if des
would understand the, like,
fine print of speak with dead as a spell?
>> Fatty Lumpkins (34:15):
Sure, yeah.
>> Skylar (34:16):
Roll that Arcana check.
>> Cameron (34:17):
Let's see what my arcana is. Plus
1B15. It was
almost an nat 20.
>> Skylar (34:24):
yeah. Is there anything in particular that you want to know about it, or
you just kind of want the general? I mean, I guess I can just give you the general
gist of it.
>> Cameron (34:30):
I would want to know specifically.
>> Skylar (34:33):
Yes.
>> Cameron (34:34):
If the head was severed from the body, would
the spell still work?
>> Skylar (34:38):
Yes.
>> Cameron (34:38):
Okay, what if the head's not there?
>> Skylar (34:40):
Then?
>> Cameron (34:41):
No, it does need the lips.
>> Skylar (34:43):
It needs a mouth or.
>> Cameron (34:45):
But a tongue.
>> Quinn (34:46):
Tongue.
>> Skylar (34:46):
El.
Technically, it simply says the corpse must still
have a mouth.
>> Cameron (34:51):
So's just going bre Tell
you what.
>> Skylar (34:54):
M I know about the murur. There. I said
all that with my tongue held in one position.
>> Cameron (35:00):
The answers to questions with sper the dead are
typically cryptic, though. That's in the fine print,
isn't it?
>> Skylar (35:06):
It says answers are usually brief, cryptic
or repetitive. Gotcha. And the corpse is
under no compulsion to offer a truthfulce answer if
you are hostile to it or it recognizes you as an enemy.
Which probably doesn't help you guys, but it
definitely helps the prosecutionit.
>> Cameron (35:23):
Why're not the ones asking the question?
They just show, them our picture and the corpses go, grr.
>> Skylar (35:29):
So did he do it? Me.
Was that a yes?
>> Cameron (35:34):
Me.
>> Skylar (35:36):
So there you go.
>> Cameron (35:37):
Okay.
Did you get your book, lawer boy?
>> Dave (35:40):
Oh, I sure did. You know,
I've been thinking that we need to, holistically
negotiate parallel strategic
theme areas as we prepare for our
trial.
>> Quinn (35:52):
Wait a minute. This is business law.
>> Cameron (35:55):
Ah, dang it. O.
>> Dave (35:57):
That would explain my urge to competently
transform leading edge markets.
>> Cameron (36:06):
It'll work.
>> Skylar (36:08):
The juerry doesn't understand it. They'll just think it's
impressive.
>> Dave (36:12):
All I'm saying is we need to rapidly
leverage our existing
resources in the assets.
>> Skylar (36:19):
What about the assets?
>> Quinn (36:21):
So whose lips are we cutting off? And
whose houses are we burning down?
>> Cameron (36:26):
I love my lips, but I'BEEN
>> Skylar (36:29):
I'm going to turn this discussion into whatever you guys
are going to do the next'another day. Correct. Well, it's about to
be. So, yeah, just make this discussion what you're gonna do the next
day to.
>> Quinn (36:38):
Cut we two days.
>> Skylar (36:40):
Yes.
>> Quinn (36:41):
Okay, so I would just like to go to the next day
because. But I'd like to ask Jar General a
question.
>> Skylar (36:47):
Oh, okay, sure. All right.
You pull out the rocky talkie
and, you give it.
>> Cameron (36:54):
Oh, boy, 3:00am and you shake.
>> Skylar (36:56):
It and nothing happens. Then you go, oh, yeah, that's right. And
you mark the weird symbol that you have to do with
your finger. No, I'm totally kidding. You just rubd the
walkie talkie.
>> Quinn (37:06):
Well, hello.
>> Skylar (37:08):
Oh, it was you again.
Lil Sars, what can I do for you?
>> Quinn (37:13):
Yeah, so, as you know, I'm in a little bit of a
predicament. I didn't do it.
>> Cameron (37:18):
Oh, yeah.
>> Skylar (37:18):
I didn't do it. Yeah, you can't see
me, but I'm doing air quotes.
>> Quinn (37:23):
Yeah, for sure. so
what is the one thing that I should
do first to clear my name? Like, who should we
go after? Should we go cut the heads off the lips or
heads off. Should I burn down the horset table or
should we. What is the one thing we should do first?
>> Skylar (37:40):
Is that all the options there? Those two?
No.
>> Quinn (37:42):
If you come up with something better, what's the.
Okay, so, hey, at these can only.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (37:47):
Be yes or no questions.
>> Skylar (37:48):
That's true.
>> Quinn (37:49):
Is it yes or no questions?
>> Skylar (37:50):
Yes. I'm so glad that your. Your
friend paid attention to you.
>> Cameron (37:55):
Say something. Keno. I'm gonna whop him on
the head with. With a giant
pan.
Des will hand you a note that just says narc.
>> Quinn (38:06):
I is cutting out the tongues, burning down
the horse stable.
>> Skylar (38:10):
That still are not multiple choices.
>> Quinn (38:12):
If anybody else can.
>> Cameron (38:13):
Should he leave the country? Yes or no?
>> Quinn (38:15):
No, that's not the question.
>> Skylar (38:16):
Not the question.
>> Quinn (38:18):
It's not the question. Just calm down.
>> Cameron (38:20):
We get three questions.
>> Skylar (38:21):
Soall we. No. Just one.
>> Quinn (38:22):
Just one. A day. A day.
>> Cameron (38:24):
I have many yes or no questions I am
willing to ask right now.
>> Skylar (38:30):
That's m a tempting offer. what can you rebutt with? little.
>> Quinn (38:33):
So is cutting off the tongues
and preventing the dead to speak the best
course of direction?
>> Skylar (38:40):
I would say life.
>> Quinn (38:43):
No, not answer.
>> Cameron (38:44):
I've got my Own question's a question.
>> Quinn (38:46):
That'that's a question.
>> Cameron (38:47):
Is strawberry chocolate chunk the best
ice cream flavor? Yes.
>> Skylar (38:52):
He roub the rock as much as I love.
>> Cameron (38:54):
Are you a Costco guyah?
To answer. Do you know the Rizler?
>> Skylar (39:01):
To answer Lil Sauce's question,
I would say yes.
Clearing the murder charges is probably
a great place to start.
>> Quinn (39:13):
Du no.
>> Cameron (39:17):
You wasted.
>> Quinn (39:18):
No, I'm ask. I was asking if that's. If that's a
course of action that would work or.
>> Skylar (39:24):
I thought you said, is that the.
>> Quinn (39:25):
Best I'SAYING is that the best course of action? Because he knew that there was
other course. Should we do that or should we
do.
>> Skylar (39:31):
That's what I'm saying.
>> Quinn (39:32):
Burning down the hal.
>> Skylar (39:33):
I'm saying, yes, the heads is best.
The.
>> Quinn (39:37):
The best place to start.
>> Cameron (39:38):
Yes.
>> Quinn (39:39):
Because if I'm asking that because obviously I threw multiple things
out on table the heads or his stable.
>> Skylar (39:44):
Right.
>> Quinn (39:44):
He's saying, yes, the heads are better than the stable.
>> Cameron (39:46):
I'm just saying, if we're gonna go chop off some heads,
let's have Little Sauce do it. Because, I mean, if they catch
one of us doing it, might as well be the guy who they already think
did.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (39:56):
So might as well keep our necks clean.
>> Quinn (39:58):
Or rumble.
>> Cameron (39:59):
Oh, wait.
>> Skylar (40:01):
O.
>> Cameron (40:01):
It's not killing. They already dead.
>> Skylar (40:04):
I said I will show up in court for
the 20 gold you paid.
>> Cameron (40:08):
20 more gold. If you go with I know
some'not doing anything, they're dead
already.
>> Skylar (40:14):
More illegal than falsely
testifying in court because it's really hard for them
to prove it.
>> Cameron (40:20):
Dang it.
>> Skylar (40:22):
You act like I'm stupid. You don't
understand. If I get arrested, the gold
is gone, and I don't get to do
anything with any of it.
>> Quinn (40:32):
You haven't done anything with any money.
>> Skylar (40:34):
But anyways, well, you,
It's.
Cause it's hard to make money as a
previously convictedlain. It's hard to get a job out here.
>> Quinn (40:42):
Yeah, we're offering you a lot of money. Just don't dolegal
things.
>> Skylar (40:45):
You know what I could do on any given day? I could go find a
dude doing something illegal and say, hey, I'm convicted. I was convicted
of murdered 20 years ago. Spen 20 years in jail. Can I
have a job with you? He'd say, yes, I'll give you tons of money
to do more illegal stuff. It's so easy. I could do it
right now because, I mean, you guys are offering it to me right
now. But that's what I'm saying. I'm Trying to get out of that life.
(41:06):
Okay, I messed up, and I'm trying to do the
right thing. By falsely testifying your car? I
get where the irony is coming from. Okay? But
again, it's a pretty baby step. It's a baby
step.
>> Cameron (41:18):
Baby steps.
>> Skylar (41:18):
Wait, some more Crime. No, no, no, no.
>> Cameron (41:21):
I mean backwards from crime.
>> Skylar (41:23):
This is what I need to kickstart all the good stuff
I'm gonna do.
>> Cameron (41:26):
You help out a guy who's totally innocent of
his five murder. Char is.
>> Skylar (41:31):
That's what you guys have told me?
>> Cameron (41:32):
Because it's true. I'm trying. He definitely didn't
kill all those five people.
>> Skylar (41:37):
Interesting wording. I know it well.
I remember when I had an attorney helping
me. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
And I hope different things come for this Guus. I'm
looking at him. I'm looking at him and I'm looking in his eyes,
and you know what I see? I see a guy
that kinda made his sometimes.
>> Cameron (41:57):
What if I casted a fake Zone of
Truth? Well, Little Sauce was on the stand.
How would you do a fake Zone of Truth?
I just say Zone of Truth.
>> Quinn (42:08):
Is there, some sort of spell you can do to make me
tell the truth? But there's also Zone of Truth. Okay,
but. But I can somehow lie.
>> Cameron (42:17):
Well, when I've had Zona Toouth
casted on me back when I was a cool
dwarf. I remember the spell. And when
the aura of magic hit me,
had, my body felt strange, like he was fighting the
magic. So I'm guessing I didn't beat it.
So I just start spewing my guts about the fifth grade
(42:38):
and hurling all over Ms. Galansky's desk
at the Little Dwarfs
Academy. I got kicked out of
that shop class, but that's how I
found my calling. Pottery.
But long story short, it's a magic
test, I believe. And, if you pass it, you
can lie. But if you fail, you'll have
(43:00):
to tell the truth. So.
>> Quinn (43:02):
So would I have to roll or how would I beat it?
>> Cameron (43:04):
Beat it.
>> Quinn (43:05):
If.
>> Cameron (43:05):
I mean, if maybe we discovered some sort of magic item
that gave you better resistance to magical
charms or something, maybe you could,
be better empower be charge
tomorrow.
>> Skylar (43:17):
With that being said, what are you guys going to spend
the day doing?
>> Cameron (43:21):
Algh. Who's chopping off heads? I
suggested little sauceus. If someone's found guilty
min, we be the guy on the stand.
>> Skylar (43:29):
So this would go under tampering with evidence.
>> Cameron (43:32):
Des holds up a slate,
where he has drawn a crude picture
of A stable. And when
he sees that everyone is looking at it, he quickly draws a
fire around it.
when they said the horses, did they say where those
horses were being held?
Yes, I have it written down. Hang on. I just
closed it.
>> Skylar (43:51):
They said where that was the car. Where the carriages were.
>> Cameron (43:54):
They didn't say where the horses were.
>> Skylar (43:56):
They didn't say. They just said, are you going to make sure that the horses are taken care
of?
>> Cameron (44:00):
Crud. Des revises his drawing
to be steam weight carriages.
>> Dave (44:05):
Ok, but we do know where the bodies. We do know where
the bodies.
>> Skylar (44:09):
Yes.
>> Cameron (44:09):
They're at the morgue, the one by the courthouse. But we don't know
where the horses are. And apparently these horses are gonna go
blabbing like my Aunt Ruth.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (44:16):
I know I can't do any magic, but do any of you
wizards have the magic that would allow us to
preemptively talk to the horses? Like, what if we
were to, threaten them?
>> Skylar (44:26):
That's a great idea.
>> Cameron (44:27):
I love this thing to be fat. You don't need magic to
talk to h. Just go up to the horse.
>> Skylar (44:32):
And start whispering its ear. And you're like, I will kill
you.
If you say anything.
>> Cameron (44:38):
I'm pretty sure o. This is no common, I
think. I'm not a druid, though. But they
understand stuff. Maybe if we walk up to them and just start,
like, hitting bats against our hands while
pointing at them, they might understand what we mean.
Stop pointing at their ankles. You know, the kneecaps.
>> Quinn (44:55):
What?
>> Fatty Lumpkins (44:55):
S. Just go find a jar of glue.
>> Skylar (44:58):
Ye.
Really intimidating. Just
glue something together.
>> Dave (45:05):
Didn't you guys remember what we were, doing
right before we did that job with
the slicer?
>> Cameron (45:12):
we gambled.
>> Dave (45:14):
I'm thinking sauce needs a
good alibi.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (45:18):
This before or after we went to the art
studio?
>> Cameron (45:22):
It was before.
>> Dave (45:24):
So maybe we could go back to where
we went that day and, you know,
make him, remember us being there a few more hours.
>> Cameron (45:33):
Wait, we're at a bar?
I think it was just a gambling bar.
We went to a gambling. Then we went to a tavern. We tried all
those special drinks, and then after those special drinks,
then we were in the. We were trying to buy
some stuff, and one of us got in trouble with a
God or something.
No.
Then we ran into an alleyway, and then we ran into the
slicer. And then he told us the prove us, our
(45:55):
guts, so. And then we got in trouble with guys, ran away.
Whatever. We met up with him. He told us to meet up with him. So
technically, we didn't actually do anything that day until
we met up with him. I think we just kind of sat around
dwidling our thumbs and then met up
with him. So technically, that giant
window of time, we didn't do
anything. So we could theoretically
(46:18):
say we were anywhere, because I don't think they
have any evidence we were in that alleyway. I
think the evidence is there was no carugh
and horses, and they were founded as house.
So I think they. They linked that
crime because the cart went to the house
because that's where the driver and the carriage and all that stuff was
(46:39):
destroyed because we wrecked it and then killed the driver
accidentally, all that stuff.
I don't think that anybody did that accidentally.
I think we'on a murder hobo
spree. Might as well be honest with ourselves
here.
Well, I'm just saying that's what happened. That's all. They linking
all this together. And then the house was robbed, and then
all that stuff was found in, well, this place.
(47:01):
So.
But nobody was seen. The
only.
Only person that was seen was Mai
dressed as. Dressed as Pendleton, who was dead
in an alleyway.
And the only evidence they have is it was planted in
Lil Sauce'house Corre which.
Well, no, there's more evidence to speak with the
dead and the horses at the
(47:22):
moment. And there. There was a lot of semen in.
That carriage, which we could also point out,
didn't little sauce pretty much give
up his shop and house to come adventure with
us?
>> Skylar (47:34):
He gave up a shop, not his house.
>> Cameron (47:36):
Yeah, we're in his house right now.
>> Skylar (47:38):
So I heard two different
directions for tampering with evidence. There'those that want to
go and deal with the bodies, and those that want to go and deal
with the wagon, it
sounded like, because you know where that's at.
So if we take out the horses.
>> Cameron (47:53):
And we take out the dead, then the only
true witness left is his wife,
who saw her husband. And so all we
have to do is convince her that there's a
doppelganger on the loose.
>> Dave (48:06):
Maybe an actual
doppelganger.
>> Cameron (48:10):
Oooh, that sounds hard to find, but
if we could do that, that would be
money. Maybe Rumple
Diltskins a doppelganger.
>> Skylar (48:20):
No, I'm not a doppelganger. I'm just a dude.
>> Cameron (48:23):
Dang it. I thought we got really lucky for a second.
>> Skylar (48:26):
I'm a gnome.
>> Cameron (48:27):
Do you know any man you know any doppelgan
is, you went to jail.
>> Skylar (48:31):
Let's see.
Doppelgan is. That's a monster, man.
>> Cameron (48:34):
Yeah, but they can Be human.
>> Skylar (48:36):
Y. Yetah.
They can look like humans. Let me tell you. Let me tell you. If you want to
find really specific monsters, you know where you
go? Where you go to the monster sumo
arenas.
>> Cameron (48:46):
Ooh.
>> Skylar (48:47):
And you talk to them. Crazy monsters.
Sumo trainers. And they can. They've
got all kinds of crazy monsters, but I mean, they're usually
pretty expensive.
>> Cameron (48:56):
Oh, I bet a doppelgan is also goingna be on
the registry of criminals and the Thieves Guild.
Maybe if we went to the Thieves Guild, we can find out if they
have an inn with a doppelganger. and then we just
pinned the whole crime on them.
>> Skylar (49:10):
There actually is a changeling that's part of the Thieves
Guild. She's a pretty big member of it.
She's.
She's a pretty high up.
>> Cameron (49:16):
Oh, well, this is a high up crime. Think about
it.
>> Skylar (49:20):
She's really hard to talk to.
>> Cameron (49:22):
Like, who said we need to talk to her? If we get a court order to have her
as a witness, she can't avoid it. Or else she's
running from the crime.
>> Skylar (49:29):
He just starts. He loses it when you
say this. He's like.
You would say, somebody from the.
>> Cameron (49:34):
Thieves Guild is running from Crash because.
>> Skylar (49:37):
Of a corner pointed requirement.
>> Cameron (49:42):
Yeah, it's funny, isn't it? Because if she runs from
the crime, she looks even more guilty.
>> Skylar (49:50):
I don't think anyone's even gonna know where
Mirage is to give her the coin app.
>> Quinn (49:55):
Partying.
>> Cameron (49:57):
Oh, Mirage. He gave a name?
>> Skylar (49:59):
Yeah, her name is Mirage. Everybody knows Mirage.
>> Quinn (50:02):
Where she.
>> Skylar (50:02):
Yeah, the Thieves Guild.
I just know it by name, man.
She's a, She's a prominent figure.
>> Cameron (50:07):
She doesn't know who we are. She doesn't know that. We could
definitely be people that hand
out court appointed
papers.
>> Skylar (50:16):
Let me tell you something about the THEP skill, right? So in the Thieves Guild
you got. There's four levels of Thieves. You got just like
the initiates, right? These are just like you guys,
right? No offense.
>> Cameron (50:27):
Like if you got a slice.
>> Skylar (50:28):
the. Oh yeah, I know the slicer. Yeah, he was like a basic
tier. Yeah, he was. He was still technically a low
ranking member. And then, and then you've got
the adept tier members of the Thieves
Guild. So Mirage is one of them. And
then, then, oh
man. Then you've got the Masters of
Theill. We're talking about the
(50:51):
Magisty Street. We're talking about. About
being, Silver.
>> Cameron (50:56):
Song.
>> Skylar (50:57):
We're talking about the Architect.
We're talking about the Enchantress, right?
These are people that you don't want to mess with
you't. You don't want to run into them if they're doing
thieves guild stuffus like you're not even
gonna remember it if you're even alive.
>> Cameron (51:14):
So, anyways, we need one of you guys to find a horse.
The way those horses are, I get them taking
care of of. I mean, I could go look for
horses, I guess.
>> Skylar (51:25):
Okay, so, I mean, that's one of the options is that you
can essentially.
>> Cameron (51:29):
Tamper with the wer around lookuck
all.
>> Skylar (51:32):
Which is part of, obviously, the
process. So.
>> Dave (51:36):
Okay, so you might want to start at, Lord
Pendleton's estate. Maybe the stable hands
there would know where they went.
>> Cameron (51:43):
Oh, that's a good idea. And they wouldn't know who
one. Oh, I'm a lawyer. That's
right. I forgot. I'm a lawyer on his defense.
That's totally right for me to be up there.
>> Dave (51:54):
Well, you gotta be careful there. I mean, you
don't want toa have lines drawn
between you asking about the horses and then the horses.
Suddenly something happened.
>> Cameron (52:04):
What if I disguised myself? Oh,
as Abby. That could work as, like, one of
the. Maybe not the main
attorneys, but maybe like an intern of theirs. I
did see one of their interns yesterday when we were at the place. Oh,
there. I saw there the lady who was helping
them with the file work. I could just disguise myself as her,
(52:25):
and then I could just be, like, cleaning up loose endds, you
know?
>> Skylar (52:28):
Algh.
>> Cameron (52:29):
Yeah, that could work.
>> Skylar (52:30):
That could work. Algh. So with that, I think we're going
to lock in that Roick is going to tamper with
the evidence, which takes a day. You're going to go look for
find, and we'll see what you do with the
horses. what about the rest of you guys? Like I said, we
heard two other tampering with evidence options
that were being discussed.
>> Cameron (52:49):
Des is taking care of the wagon.
>> Skylar (52:51):
Okay. Des is taking care of the wagon. And then there's also the
bodies, in the morgue. But there's other
options, too. If you guys want to go procure more fake
witnesses or fake evidence of your own,
to try to pitch or like David talked about with the
alibi, like, if you wanted to try to go set one of those up, you
could try to do something with that. You could try to intimidate
(53:12):
witnesses. You could try to tamper with the jury, which I know
had been discussed previously with you guys because you
have Ryan equest that I know that you guys were a little
unsure if he was going to be A good jury person
for you guys. I shouldn't give you so many
options. What are you guys already leaning towards?
>> Fatty Lumpkins (53:28):
How hard can it be to cut out a tongue? Kido
will volunteer to go visit the morgue.
>> Skylar (53:34):
Okay.
>> Dave (53:34):
Makia is alsonna go to the morgue.
>> Skylar (53:37):
All right.
>> Cameron (53:37):
She probably have more numbers than watch each other's
backs.
>> Skylar (53:41):
I think it's good. little sauce. What are you gonna do
for your day?
>> Quinn (53:45):
Well, I was gonna go to the morgue, I m Or the
Marrrier, I guess. But who's gonna go light the horse
stable on fire?
>> Cameron (53:52):
Roick is gonna go track down the horses and
then deal with them, Whatever that
means.
>> Quinn (53:58):
Right? I can't wait to see how that turns
out.
>> Cameron (54:02):
I can't either. I've read lots
of horse books, let me tell you. So those horses, they're
gonna be charmed by me. Okay, I've got and I
pass my pouch a lot of carrots in
here. Okay. Trust me, they weren't in that
bag. That big bag of goodies. I had that gone.
Thanks a lot. Oh, I did have a question. If
(54:22):
we're going toa be going with the, the view reframed
approach. I don't remember. Did we really
hide stuff in this house or was it just all sitting out in the
open? Because it is all just sitting out in the open. It just kind of
looked like a lazy framing job, if you think about it.
>> Quinn (54:36):
No, it was hidden down in the basement.
>> Fatty Lumpkins (54:38):
That was just because the basement was cold.
>> Cameron (54:40):
Well, was that hidden or just in the fridge in the basement? Because there's
a difference between hidden and just sitting in a fridge.
>> Skylar (54:46):
It was. It was just in the basement.
>> Cameron (54:48):
Just in, like a fridge.
>> Skylar (54:50):
Yeah. Or. Well, it was just in the coldest area. It was like
a cold cellar. This the, sauce store.
>> Cameron (54:55):
Just opening the cellar door, you would just see it just sitting there.
Yeah.
>> Quinn (54:58):
Okay.
>> Cameron (54:59):
So, like, I was just wondering if we hit it as something,
but if he's out in the open, just look like a lazy framing job because it goes
with the carriage just sitting out back.
>> Skylar (55:07):
Right?
>> Cameron (55:07):
Just. Yeah.
>> Quinn (55:08):
In retrospect, we really did a bad job at this.
Not that we did it, Rumpletiltskin. Not
that we did it.
>> Cameron (55:15):
Hey,
>> Skylar (55:15):
La la la. I don't hear nothing.
>> Cameron (55:18):
No, it helps that you know a lot about mirage since we're go goingna
pin this whole crime on her.
>> Skylar (55:22):
I don't know a lot about mirage.
>> Cameron (55:25):
You just spewed a lot of information about
Guild.
>> Skylar (55:28):
I gave you the very brief overview of the
Thieves Guild that I feel like most people.
>> Quinn (55:33):
Whatever.
>> Cameron (55:34):
Rubbleilled skin.
>> Skylar (55:35):
When are you guys gonna tell me what I gotta say at the trial?
>> Cameron (55:38):
Just eventually just watching
Learn okay, with.
>> Skylar (55:43):
Everyone having chosen, there are plans for the next
day.
